It's harder to play Halo coop in 2021 than in 2001, wtf microsoft.

@@shallex5744 In 2022, they don't even have that. We needed a entire different app to do that for us & even with that. You need a beefy pc.

Literally there are no options for this. This is nuts how this is even a problem for a game in 2024. Windows has NO option to mess with these settings.
343 needs to absolutely fix coop on MCC now for the campaigns, honestly this is the only part of the collection that is probably the weakest feature of the whole collection (besides H2A multiplayer map pool being small and armor customization). A big overhaul to the game's campaigns for Coop on a dedicated server model would make such a huge difference for the MCC.

Yeah I'm playing it with my cousin right now and we just did a test run on some of the multiplayer maps was fine with that but the campaigns keep crashing
Yes but they are greedy af and would want money for it which they don't do because it'll look stupid so they keep the small stupid status by not fixing it

I don't think the "fix it" option actually does anything. Because the moment I close the xbox networking window and reopen it, run the test again, it goes back to being blocked again. Then fix it, check has to be done again. Unless if you mean you have to use fix it every single time you play online.
There are soooo many bugs with Halo MCC PC. Lobby is filling up infinitely but players can't be found. Insane lag in coop. Unlocking rewards not working. I wish the would have released reach and 3 as standalone.

I played through Halo CE on co-op and the only "connection failed" messages appeared at the very beginning of The Pillar of Autumn and the very end of The Maw. Other than some awful lag here and there (even though we're literally playing in the same room and on the same router), I can't say we had any serious issues.
Halo 2 on the other hand... Well, I wouldn't be here if it worked fine. There's no lag on LAN (networking type). The end of the bridge in Metropolis consistently disconnects us both sending us to the Mission Select menu unless we put the graphics on Performance (and Classic). We had the same problem not long into the Banshee dogfights in The Arbiter.

I'm about to delete the MCC off of my console. I've been playing halo since th start and I'm so incredibly FED UP with these huge 30 gig updates every week. None of my friends play anymore either because of the constant bugs with the new multi-player. Here the kicker, I just wanna play the fing campaign.... I have to wait hours to download an update so it never happens. I knew this digital BS was going to be the stranglehold on gaming and it's real now. My blu-ray still won't play anything after an update like a year ago and now I have to wait hours to play a game that fit on a disk and ran immediately when you started it up. The fact that Microsoft has turned a blind eye to these problems is making me HATE the company. I paid for it full price I bought the consol pay for internet because they demand it for so many games now and somehow I can't just play a game that came out *NEARLY 22 YEARS AGO* because of huge updates. I have a job, cars, a house and other thing I need to do. When I get some time to sit down and play a game I WANT TO JUST PLAY IT. I downloaded the update last time and missed playing with my friends when we all had time and now I have to update a 30 gig patch again. F that. I'm not buying another thing from Microsoft at this point. F them and their garbage support and their inability to get games over a decade old to just start up and play. What a joke.

you're better off buying an old xbox 360 from a garage sale getting your controllers and booting that shit up split screen. Itll work with no issues

well windows store sucks so you have to reinstall the game but steam you just have to verify game files
What if xbox networking isn't there in the first place? Is there something that needs to be done to bring that up as an option?
Is this to get rid of the pausing when playing online co-op?
would you say that having Nat type to OPEN is the most important thing you should do to get this to work? You have to get into your router then yes?
Another disappointed fan here that can't play this game in co-op with my friends on PC. Played 45 minutes straight and got most of the way through gravemind only to have the game glitch out and dump us back to the main menu where we needed to start over again. Nobody has the patience for that especially when it happens over and over.

So i just Set the clock, Opened ports, flushed the dns and when i rebooted after clicking fix it again it worked. i also messed around with cmd and commands that microsoft asks you to run during troubleshooting.

Hmm... the only problem with me is the input lag... whoever who was not the host will have clear signs of delay in input and it really makes the gameplay not fun since the other person who is not the host will delay and its unbearable... i wonder what's the problem?...
I recently bought the MCC on Steam as a gift for my friend because he's never played it. We started tonight and the whole time he was lagging really badly. At first we thought it was his internet but when I googled the issue, it's clearly not.
It's disgusting that 343 haven't fixed this. About a year ago a 343 employee complained on the Halo subreddit that it was busted because it was using old Xbox netcode and it would take them over a year to fix it and people should stop whining about it. That _might_ be understandable if they were a small indie team, but they work for Microsoft. They have the resources to bring in outside help to fix it. They just don't care. I don't know why Phil Spencer hasn't sacked every single person at 343 aside from the veterans.
You best let him host so he doesn't get the lag next time you play.

@@alex30fs not sure if you fixed it but I had a similar issue turned out the game had deleted the campaign for 3 for no reason but it also didn't warn me that it wasn't installed so I had no idea till I wanted to play another halo that I hadn't downloaded yet
I get bad lag and stuttering, audio is out of sync in cutscenes and game is basically unplayable. This is when playing Halo 3 campaign with a friend from EU when im AUS, we're fine with no lag at all on all Halos except 3 and ODST. Is there a way to fix that?

yeah, did this, but it still crashes. always at the same spot on delta halo, right after you get the tank and head into the cave
There's some fix for huge lag and fps drops, like in this tutorial, but for others bugs you have to either speedrun the mission or play in original graphics or both

anyone know if there is a mod that fixes that still apparent input lag on steams MCC? and not something like cursed halo mod as that works no issues when playing co op, i have tried everything in this video, plus things i saw revolving my nvidea control panel, and still doesnt do a thing

Installation stop on halo master chief collection 2022 i uninstall it and reinstall still nothing also a master reset check my storage and still nothing any idea's?

I was playing halo with my friend both pc/steam and then it crashed on my end and after that now i can't join his session and he can't send me an invite nor see my invites if i send them to him. he cant even see tat i am online.
So I've been running into a slight variation of this problem. I'm trying to play Halo CE Co Op campaign online with one of my friends on MCC. We were able to play the first level just fine, but once on the second level, if we reached the loading point at the top of the first hill, or if either one of us died, it would lose connection and kick us both out in 15 seconds. I can't find many examples of other people experiencing this issue like this specifically, and none of the solutions listed here seem to get the job done. Has anyone else experienced the issue like this and has anyone come across any solutions?

Do you play via the xbox app and with your friend in the same network? I think I have the exact same issue including that the connection errors only appear in the second level. Unfortunately i did not find a fix yet so please let me know if you found something that works. Till now I think it has something to do with using nat on two devices in the same network.
@@noizecrash yes, one of us was using the Xbox app and the other steam- although we did try it with both of us playing on steam and that still didn't work (if anything it was worse and crashed even faster). We even used logmein.hamachi to fake a LAN connection and that still crashed the exact same way.
It's also worth noting that for me, who has the slightly better PC between the two of us, I would just get booted out of the game, but my friend's Halo would crash and he would have to alt+f4 to get it to close. Sadly we've just given up, but please let me know if you find a solution. Good luck!

So I have net type moderate.. not sure if it’s just due to me being on hot spot from my phone.. I know I was able to reset it on my Xbox live profile and jump back to open. But I am not sure how to do it on pc. I mean I am able to play other games on multiplayer and it works just fine. Just not halo mmc.
I didnt know you could play co-op online. When did they bring that feature. Its very difficult during the day with CE to get . Match. Like with 16 players, just hours of searching it does. Only games of less than 6 players comes up SOMETIMES. Any clue

Is this can use for multiplayer?
The first step works for me but after a while of playing (maybe an hour of gameplay later?) the stuttering comes back and when I go back into my "Xbox Live Settings" my NAT type says "Teredo is unable to qualify" again. It's really annoying and I have to fix it every so often which interrupts the flow of the game - which is especially bad for my partner who I'm trying to get into Halo for the first time. Is there a work around this so the NAT type doesn't keep switching off open?
I have halo MCC on 3 different computers and i had trouble getting the coop to work until i installed the game on ssd for all 3 systems, it seems if one of the systems loads way faster than the others there can be issues

@@pcworld Hey, for my girlfriend and I (Europe and Asia), we played Halo Reach, CE and 2 with NO LAG, but Halo 3 is just implayable, there are a lot of micro freezes. We don't understand why, as the other games are fine.
Maybe if we're lucky Windows 11 fixes these issues?

Tried everything and only managed to play 10 minutes before being disconnected. Going to call microsoft soon and get a definitive solution from them or at least an idea of when we can expect a fix. Really disappointed. Have spent 5 evenings wanting to play it. Trying to fix it and not making any progress..

I found a up to date teredo ip, I followed a guide to check and change it. Turned out me or my friend were running on an old or not working teredo ip address.

@@pcworld Thank you for Replying, there was no errors, but I found a video that helped me sold it, I had to click on my aps and games, got to halo & delete some extra profile thing. I dont remember 100%

@@crucial9264 I went to "apps and Games" then press the start button wile selected over the Halo Game. Then delete the extra space on the bottom. Not the game itself, but the extra data. I forget what its called.... otherwise try holding power button for 8 seconds then unplug x box for a few minutes to hard reset everything.. do the first way I said 1st though

so... i get booted out of match-made games after around 5 minutes of connectivity, and it just says "connection lost", but its always fine for 5 minutes on-the-dot, till that point.
i thought it was a teredo problem, and at first, it was, but, after fixing it, having an open NAT and being connected, it still doesn't work!
any ideas on what to do now?
@@pcworld in halo 3 multiplayer, it'll go to disconnect me after 5 mins, but it'll just be a SUPER big lag spike, but wont boot me out, and the game will run fine for about 5 minutes afterward.
campaign multiplayer, and hosting firefight games goes smoother than a hot knife in butter, its not my internet... i'm assuming i'll have to port-forward my game; it's the only thing i haven't done yet, and also, trust me, i've looked in a lot of videos and internet posts, and they've all given fixes that haven't worked.
but IDK how to port forward at all...
