Some model years don't use that clipping style light but instead they have 2 screws. None of my Phillips fit properly and it was a pain. I believe Subaru uses the JIS screws, which is Japanese industrial standard. it looks similar to Phillips but it's a little different. it's probably worth getting a set of JIS screwdrivers if you want to do a little jobs like this on your Subaru or other Japanese machine.
