@@SimHangerFS Sweet, thanks for the reply. Also one other thing currently on Xbox. Not sure if this is only on Xbox wondering if that will be fixed in the new version as well
I'm still on the fence about pre-ordering, but the more I see in the previews (great job as usual with this one, Mark...thank you), the more excited I become over MSFS 2024. I'm still trying to decide on the version I'll buy, but I'm narrowing it down. There's one of my "must-have" planes in the Premium Deluxe version that is not in the Deluxe version and it's the Citation Longitude. So basically that plane is gonna cost me $30 US. Since this is a study-level plane for someone at my level of expertise, that small price difference is worth it to me, plus I will get some extra new planes that look very interesting too. And an additional 5 hand-crafted airports. It's a no-brainer here. As for the Aviator edition and and the inclusion of the "30 Microsoft-published Marketplace aircraft developed for Microsoft Flight Simulator between 2021 and 2024", I *think* I've identified those. I went to the Marketplace, selected all aircraft, set filter option to "Creator", then selected all options in the list for "Microsoft / [co-developer name]". That short filtered developer list generated a listing of 29 aircraft. I only own 2 of them. None of others ever appealed to me so I didn't buy them for MSFS 2020. I am guessing the 30th plane that's supposed to appear on that list might not be released yet, or is perhaps one that was released for PC players only (I'm an Xbox player). I'm guessing someone will confirm this list in coming weeks. The one bit of information that is still out there unanswered is this: Which (if any) sceneries and/or planes created by 3rd party developers I've purchased through the Marketplace in MSFS 2020 will be offered for free in MSFS 2024? I'm going to guess the majority of those from the most serious developers will get reworked to MSFS 2024 requirements standards and I'll end up having to purchase them again if they even show up in 2024. Time will tell and I'm sure in the coming weeks we'll get some kind of confirmation on that question too. Excited? Heck, yeah! Who isn't?😁

I think I'll wait it out and see how well the new sim is optimized for high end PCVR (Aero, Crystal (light), BSB, etc). If it's not any better in VR than MSFS 2020, then I'm not a hard core flight simmer enough to bother. Trust me when I say, I hope they knocked it out of the park for VR optimizations. Sadly my 'Upgraded for MSFS2020' desktop PC doesn't even meet the Min specs for 2024. It's an HP Pavilion Desktop i5-8400@2.8ghz, 16gb RAM, 1TB M.2 SSD, GTX1650 4GB, 300+ MBPS internet. My plan is to try the Game Pass trial option first and see how or even if 2024 will run. The cost of upgrading again isn't in the budget. Fortunately, I'm enjoying 2020 a lot so if I can't move on to MSFS 2024, such is life in the big city.
So I hit pause got the Aviator Edition hit play and now I am wondering where I'm going to put my AN-225 swag...I didn't realize it was part of the offer as the Microsoft store didn't mention it when I ordered.
is there gonna be like an email asking where to send it, thats most of the reason i decided to get the aviators edition lmfao. ah, its the limited edition offer, with shipping its like 300$. oh well ill cancel and get that then.
@@SimHangerFS Ah yes, forgot the Twotter. I hope it's better than the Aerosoft release - after their excellent FSX and P3D ones, the MSFS model was a disappointment, for some reason.
That’s a huge number of different airframes to model. Are they all “sim” accurate flight models? Or is there some generic modelling happening? Credit to MS if they do all have accurate flight models.
Mark, my question is... I'm at the 2/3 limit on my hard drive at the moment. if I preorder, what do I do next? I think I'm going to run out of space and then I can't play msfs 2020 nor msfs 2024. Do I uninstall msfs2020? Can you make a video of what to do if we "upgrade" to msfs 2024 please? I'm thinking of preordering, but I don't want to mess up my pc.
Aren't we always? Using todays conversation rate $69=£51.96. almost 25% more expensive. Admittedly, the US will probably have a local sales tax added (5-10%), where we already have 20% VAT.
I have never used the stock aircraft or airports as most third party one's are much more authentic for real world practice, so would i be best to get the standard version or will i miss out on anything else ?
Hiya Mark, I would be mad if I didnt go for the Aviator version - so I did, I just pre-ordered it. If it turns out it sucks I'll be tapping on your door for a refund as your vid made me reallllly want it. So in the meantime - back to the Malidives for a poodle around in an Icom. Thanks for the heads up I'm so looking forward to it. I was thinking does this mean that all the extra scenery can be zipped up and put away seeing that live photogrametry is coming in from the cloud? Just a thought!!
Make sure you check if you want the MS Store or Steam Editions. The MS Store version may have additional DRM (i.e. the encrypted virtual drive) similar to Game Pass. Anyway people should never pre-order games because you're not going to miss playing MSFS in launch day, compared to playing it a day or two later.
I have noticed that the price in the UK for the delux version is £129.99 whilst on other sites it is shown as $129.99. I preordered in the UK and paid £129.99 is this correct?
@@SimHangerFS Just ordered the aviator addition. I was curious and looked at my rewards for the first time and realized I had almost 200K in rewards. $160 going towards this purchase.
I'll be happy with just improved VR support, flight model and flight lessons. If we can use hands to manipulate buttons and there's native support for VR passthrough then it's definitely a buy. All this stuff about doing stuff outside the aircraft is mostly just wank to me.
@@SimHangerFS well that's just a gross omission on their end, and I'm sorry to hear that. As far as I'm concerned you are hands down the best channel for MSFS. Maybe they went on the cheap and only invited US based content creators.
I know that if you pre order today you can use one of the aircrafts in the 2020 version today. I saw it mentioned on one of the creators that went to the grand canyon to try it out.
They don't actually charge your card until just before release. And you can cancel up until they charge. People usually pre-order for extra goodies, early access and/or early download so they are not trying to download when a million other people are.
@@HomesickforAlaska No such thing as early access for pre-orders, it's an arbitrary date. Pre-orders get it on launch while everyone else gets it later. The not charging you thing might depend on the store you go through, I've seen plenty of folks say they get charged at pre-order time for games, although that wasn't for MSFS. I'd say the one and maybe only big advantage of pre-ordering is for pre-installing to beat the rush.

Fortunately, I'm enjoying 2020 a lot so if I can't move on to MSFS 2024, such is life in the big city.
Whats the difference between aviator and premium deluxe
So I hit pause got the Aviator Edition hit play and now I am wondering where I'm going to put my AN-225 swag...I didn't realize it was part of the offer as the Microsoft store didn't mention it when I ordered.
is there gonna be like an email asking where to send it, thats most of the reason i decided to get the aviators edition lmfao.
ah, its the limited edition offer, with shipping its like 300$. oh well ill cancel and get that then.
Grumman Albatross, C-17 and A400 are the stars for me.
And the twin otter….😊
@@SimHangerFS Ah yes, forgot the Twotter. I hope it's better than the Aerosoft release - after their excellent FSX and P3D ones, the MSFS model was a disappointment, for some reason.
That’s a huge number of different airframes to model. Are they all “sim” accurate flight models? Or is there some generic modelling happening? Credit to MS if they do all have accurate flight models.
they re did the physics, most notably the f18 feels a lot more accurate now
How about clouds ? They look the same as 2020 like vulcanic ash ? Especialy thunderstorms 😮
The prices you show are in British pounds which seem to be the same as the prices published in US dollars. Are we about to get ripped off in the UK?
Aren't we always? Using todays conversation rate $69=£51.96. almost 25% more expensive. Admittedly, the US will probably have a local sales tax added (5-10%), where we already have 20% VAT.
Let the £ rip off continue.
If you have a VPN could you not log onto a US server and pay in US $ using a fee free card? Pretty sure I did this for Navigraph avoiding the VAT.
Mainly due to the UK’s VAT…😮
I just preordered the Aviator edition, which is a big step up from my 2020 standard edition! Now the wait begins 😒(MooseP)
Nice one 😊
I already participated on the 2020 paid beta. I will wait for a free Shitmulator update 🏴☠️
no word and I guess money spend on the endless list of bugs never solved. I can wait and see.
Premium deluxe pre-ordered. 👍🏼
Will rain show up on the cockpit windshield?
I have never used the stock aircraft or airports as most third party one's are much more authentic for real world practice, so would i be best to get the standard version or will i miss out on anything else ?
Yup, Ordered the Premium Deluxe...
Aviator version preordered 😁👍
Hiya Mark, I would be mad if I didnt go for the Aviator version - so I did, I just pre-ordered it. If it turns out it sucks I'll be tapping on your door for a refund as your vid made me reallllly want it. So in the meantime - back to the Malidives for a poodle around in an Icom. Thanks for the heads up I'm so looking forward to it. I was thinking does this mean that all the extra scenery can be zipped up and put away seeing that live photogrametry is coming in from the cloud? Just a thought!!
I would like to order with 4 DVDs or whatever it takes.
Not available for pre-order on Steam???
Make sure you check if you want the MS Store or Steam Editions. The MS Store version may have additional DRM (i.e. the encrypted virtual drive) similar to Game Pass. Anyway people should never pre-order games because you're not going to miss playing MSFS in launch day, compared to playing it a day or two later.
Will it actually be released on Steam? I've looked but haven't found info on that unless I'm blind and I've missed it somewhere.
@@Farmhand-Bookeryes it will release for preorder on steam …26th I think.
I have noticed that the price in the UK for the delux version is £129.99 whilst on other sites it is shown as $129.99. I preordered in the UK and paid £129.99 is this correct?
@@dpanastasiou don’t forget the VAT is included.
@@SimHangerFS thanks for answering. Of course the VAT!!! Keep up the good work.
Wondering if I should do a fresh install and delete 2020 old version.
They are totally separate programs, so optional.
@@SimHangerFS Thanks
@@SimHangerFS Just ordered the aviator addition. I was curious and looked at my rewards for the first time and realized I had almost 200K in rewards. $160 going towards this purchase.
@@TChalla007 wow….maybe I should take a look at mine 👍
I'll be happy with just improved VR support, flight model and flight lessons. If we can use hands to manipulate buttons and there's native support for VR passthrough then it's definitely a buy. All this stuff about doing stuff outside the aircraft is mostly just wank to me.
Why pre-order ? You think it’s gonna run out ?
Is there a facility to pre-order with steam?
According to someone over on FSElite , Steam-Preorders are starting September 26th.
@@Prowler2k Thank you. looking now
Still determined to turn simming into gaming.
After a year or so of community beta testing it may be stable? As for add ons...?
Mark we're you invited to the Grand Canyon event? Are you cooking up a nice video? Yours is the one I want to watch 😊
@@guillaume_69 sorry, no not invited 😭
@@SimHangerFS well that's just a gross omission on their end, and I'm sorry to hear that. As far as I'm concerned you are hands down the best channel for MSFS. Maybe they went on the cheap and only invited US based content creators.
What is the advantage on Preorder? Why give Microsoft the money 2 months in advance? Why not just buy it when it comes out?
There is a special edition with a steel box and some more gimmicks
I know that if you pre order today you can use one of the aircrafts in the 2020 version today. I saw it mentioned on one of the creators that went to the grand canyon to try it out.
They don't actually charge your card until just before release. And you can cancel up until they charge.
People usually pre-order for extra goodies, early access and/or early download so they are not trying to download when a million other people are.
You will get the water bomber for free and be able to use it right now in the 2020 Sim
I'd say the one and maybe only big advantage of pre-ordering is for pre-installing to beat the rush.
i pre-ordered the Aviator edition...thanks!
Tool
Hi , For those who pre-ordered, Did ur card get charged or it will be charged only at the time of release?
@@jibulissan about 10 days prior to release
can i play it on day 1 if i preorder?
I will buy it only when I am sure that the FENIX A320 is 100% compatible and if sim will be on sale.
Hi,
Does anyone know if the aircraft in the new Sim will be compatable with FS2020?
MS aircraft yes, third party should be usable under a new ‘’2020 mode’’ model option. Most devs will update their addons.
Thanks for the information...I've ordered the Premium Deluxe Edition.
