Amazing are your videos- home decor, plants, veggie garden - everything!! For Christmas cactus- try keeping it in a medium light setting - with very less watering from now on and it might bloom- I could make it bloom this way..hence sharing.. keep doing great videos!!

Easter cactus blooms only once in a year around thanks giving. I have one in my backyard left from the previous owners. try keeping outside in light
Easter cactus blooms during Easter time. Thanksgiving cactus blooms during TG and Christmas cactus blooms during Christmas times. There are 3 different types. You can make out the difference from the leaf shapes. Will try keeping it outside during summer. 🤞🏼

Thanks Aparna. Egg shells are high in calcium. I don't use them for indoor plants. I use them in my veg bed.

Thank you Kat. All the pots have draining trays under them or I do a pot in a pot. So there is no damage to the furniture surface.

Hi Vdya, u've a great collection.👌 Started watching ur videos recently. Can I check vth u regarding my indoor plant issues? I have two dracenas which I'm struggling with their leaves. The leaves look so dry especially the tips. It starts drying at the tips and gradually spreads throughout. These plants don't have a single better leaf. They stay at the same place,gets indirect sunlight in the afternoon snd wayers it after checking finger method.Any advise would be much appreciated. Thanks. Smitha
Hi Anson. I haven’t had much luck with dracenas either because I think I tend to over water them. I’d say treat them like a cactus. So let the soil run drier than you would normally and then only water. With the finger method I think we might be overwatering them.

Will try. Yes, I bring them indoor. I mentioned how I do it in the curry leaf video. Process is same for other tropical plants.

Unfortunately no easy way. Mulch helps considerably but I pull out by hand regularly

Hi Neethu. I have sone home tour of all room’s except master and kids bedrooms. I did it separately as there’s is a lot to talk about in each room. Master is still a work in progress
Before rabbit foot that plant is night queen it takes 12years for aleaf to flower once in 12yrs each leaf flowers they say is considered as a lucky plant because when it flowers it brings luck .a leaf can be propogated

Have you tried repotting the Easter cactus after planting them ? I think they have to be repotted every two years in spring .

I killed that one :). It is the second one I'm killing. Will try one more time before giving up. In winter when heat is one, need to keep close eye on watering. If we forget for a couple of days, it dries up fast.

Yes you can grow as indoor. Think it needs light. Don’t overwater. Even if leaves dry off there will potato in the soil. So it will come back when you keep it outside.

I love indoor plants but gnat is a problem.
I use yellow sticky traps for gnats, which reduces the flies quite a bit.

Chechi please do not trash that Xmas and Easter plant which was not flowering for you .. indeed that was the one I liked the most and looked extremely healthy when compared to all your plants .. pinne aa Calisia repense would grow extremely bushy when u place in sun .. it’s difficult for flowering plants to flower inside
I didn’t literally mean trash. Usually I give it away to friends. I have a group of friends who are equally crazy about plants. So if one of us can’t get a plant to bloom another will take it and try.😃 Thanks for the tip on calisia repense. Will keep it out and see.

I tried doing indoor plants once. But flies and insects are coming inside due to the soil I guess. So I quit doing indoor plants.
Aww, that's bummer. Sometimes when soil is old or moldy might do that. I use yellow sticky traps for gnats, which reduces the flies quite a bit.
