    You know what, I have not seen many RUclips travelers film around that part of Paris.

    • @narudayo5053
      @narudayo5053 Месяц назад +10

      It's not just politics, in France we have a law of "Droit à l'image".
      It's seen as non respectuous to film people without their authorisation. So let's says you were filming someone, we clearly see their face and they didn't knew it or gave their consent to it, you can be sued and they will win the case no matter what you say unless there is a loophole, saying that you were filming in public doesn't have a lot of weight.
      This is something we learn really early as a kid, and everytime there is a video/photo taken to an events, etc, people or parents for minors have to sign if they want the face to be released to the public or not.
      Even in interviews, if someone says they don't want their faces to appears online, you are obliged to blur their face.

Greater Paris includes several districts and that's where most black people live.Chateau rouge , Chateau d'Eau & Chatelet are just areas where black people congregate & do shopping , most black people live in the suburbs of Paris along with North African Arabs & other parts of the 18th ,19th 20th boroughs

    I moved to Paris in 1994 and worked playing music. First regular gig was in the oldest American restaurant in Paris. It was started by Leroy Haynes who had been an Army M.P. there during WW ll. Haynes returned from Louisiana and opened the "soul food" style place. After his death his wife Maria ran it until the early 2000's. All of the 30's 40' & 50's jazz artists would stop by when they toured France and their autographed headshots were still covering the walls. Paris has been a haven for Black Americans since the days of Jack Johnson and Josephine Baker.

    Hey Ace, thanks for making this great video . As an African (Congolese) born and raised in Paris , I like how you try to show the unity within the African community in Paris . Growing up in Paris … I can tell you that Africans have been having a hard time to be fully accepted and treated fairly by the French. The largest African community present in France are mostly coming from old French colonies : Congo , Senegal, Mali, Côte d’Ivoire … And after the wave of the independence that occurs in the late 50’s and 60´s a lot of these old colonies had a great economic boom but in the early 90´s a lot of these African countries went into big political and financial crises that pushed a lot of out of their countries towards France. Black people are still struggling in France to advance and get a simple decent life . As an African French citizen I moved to Canada to get a better life … but Paris is great for vacation, arts and food . Thanks for the video 😊

Almost every western european country colonised around the world so that makes sense. And on top of that theres recent refugees that come from countries that are destroyed by all kinds of wars and that wont stop anytime soon. France indeed has the highest percentage of black people living there but also North Africans who were also colonised by the French like the Morrocans and Algerians.
