@@shredd5705 Its not that deep. Its never going to be perfect, you will always need a human to go and fix up w/e it generates, and people are already cracking down on AI generated work, and there are AI tools to detect it. Its a tool, it will never replace you.

@@KAJYT6969 that’s not necessarily true, if AI has enough high quality data, and is able to become more efficient (it will) there will be no need to edit AI images in the future. Especially since most AI are trained on images, but when AI has access to the nigh infinite amount of video content, expect flawless AI images and video. AI doesn’t necessarily mean there will be artifacts and visual glitches, they are a problem that is CURRENTLY being solved. And will be solved in the next couple of years.

Sony has already been working on embedding a tamperproofing watermark into their cameras and I expect this will be good news for photographers overall as authentic images will start to be something that social sites can discriminate
Photoshop has been here for a long time. And people have been using it even before AI. Why would something like that matter now and not before? Yeah, with AI it is a lot easier but almost every social media posts are altered in some way or another. Even phone camera apps are doing some software magic to make it look better. Where should be the line between real and fake?

That is exactly what I used to imagine Photoshop and other creational software are like when I was a child. You simply tell them what to do, and they do it. I literally thought the same for how CGI in movies were made. And now we're coming closer and closer to that point.

Just so sad to see that people doesn`t have a clue of what this will lead to. And instead celebrating and cheering.. Well for us doing high end photography, this is the beginning of the end. Who bothers to look at a real photography from a place I used a lot of money to go to, and did a great job on the location, and then a post processing that took years to learn.. when people can just type in what kind of picture they want, in to for instance midjourney.. and the picture that comes out looks great and better than almost all photographies. Don`t even need a camera. Soon you can snapshot a crappy picture with a phone, and then put it in the a.i. and tell it what you want, then your crappy picture suddenly looks highly proffesional. Soon this will be the case for music too! Good luck to all artistry and creativity killed by technology. One of the most important joys for humanity is to create and be creative. I have 25 years of photoshop retouching experience and was recently let go, Ai is and will replace retouch artists, photographers, designers, copywriters, editors and essentially anyone who uses a computer for work, and it will happen fast. Those celebrating this are in for a rude awakening when it hits your profession.

I think I'll be using this new feature mainly to remove distractions that other tools can't easily handle. When I I took a recent photo of a group of musicians from a side angle, I couldn't avoid including the legs of audience members seated nearby. No matter what I did, the content aware tool didn't work, so I struggled for quite a while using the remove tool and the clone tool to extend the wood panel flooring from where the musicians were seated to replace the distracting audience legs. Yesterday, without entering any instructions, generative AI produced, in a matter of seconds, smoothly aligned wood flooring that fit in perfectly, much better than what I had previously done. Amazing.

This is amazing. I finally downloaded the beta and immediately raced over to watch your video on it. On a sidebar, throughout the video I was distracted by your hotel room. Nice room.
A 100%! It completely demolished the competition, but we still need to wait to see how it rolls out in the final version, and whether other photo editors will provide some kind of AI integration in the future.
@@meady200 Midjourney is not free. However Stable Diffusion is open source and even has a photoshop Plugin. It's harder to use but is much more versatile.
Great tutorial as usual! Two things strikes me: Why there's still that 1024 px limitation (knowing that already are models for upscaling) and why in the name of Zeus the freaking hands are so complex to create, when as "objects" are far more simple than "suitcase chrome wheels reflecting on a stone polished floor". Having said that, as you mentioned, this is the most incredible update Photoshop had since "layers and multiple undos", and given that this is my 30th year as a photoshop user, this is no small feat. PD. Your Nomad Setup is great! Happy for you to the Adobe HQ Trip.
I have been using the Adobe Podcast voice enhancer and it's really saved a lot of the voice tracks that I work with. Your video in the hotel probably didn't need it, but if you are ever in a pinch again, you should try it out! Thanks again for these instructive videos that are so helpful!
I have been playing with it. It is amazing. You can tell it to finish off parts of the photo that has been cut off. It put back the top of a child's head that had been snipped. A shoulder that had been cut off. It even put back a corner of a cell phone picture. It makes even stock photos more usable. Just amazing. I have been using Photoshop since the days before the subscription service. This is the best update so far. Thank you. It would have been a while before I noticed it.

Ive been playing with Firefly previously and its super convenient having it inside photoshop and finding many uses - Ive seen plenty of negative comments about it being non creative or none pro but for me as a longterm Photoshop user, people and products photographer and designer, I see Firely and other AI creative as a very useful co pilot and in my workflow helps me with with ideas generation, trying out some concepts, mocks and demos of ideas and directions - I dont hold back on it as previously I wouldnt even attempt an idea that I knew would take hours and the clients being very change of minds types it would not be worth going those routes - I find it super to have on hand its helping me with all areas of my work
0:52 - I'm glad this worked for you. I tried to remove chairs from a living room and all it did was generate different chairs. Is this something that only works with people?
