Kung Fu Panda Movie Description:
Now known as the Dragon Warrior, Po (Chawalit Simankhongtham) protects the Valley of Peace alongside his friends and fellow kung fu masters, the Furious Five. However, a dangerous villain threatens Po's awesome new life with plans to use a secret weapon to wipe out the martial art and conquer China. In order to defeat the new enemy, Po finds he must recall his past and unlock secrets of his mysterious origins; only then will he find the strength to vanquish his foe.
Kung Fu Panda 2 is a 2011 American computer-animated martial arts comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Paramount Pictures. The film is the sequel to Kung Fu Panda (2008) and the second installment in the Kung Fu Panda franchise. It was directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson (in her feature directorial debut) and written by Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger. The film stars Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross, James Hong, and Jackie Chan reprising their character roles from the first film, with Gary Oldman, Michelle Yeoh, Danny McBride, Dennis Haysbert, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Victor Garber voicing new characters. In the film, Po and his allies (Tigress, Monkey, Viper, Crane, and Mantis) travel to Gongmen City to stop the evil peacock Lord Shen from conquering China, while also rediscovering Po's forgotten past.
The film was released in theaters on May 26 in 2D, RealD 3D, and Digital 3D. The Rotten Tomatoes critical consensus says it "offers enough action, comedy, and visual sparkle to compensate" for its familiar plot. It grossed $665 million worldwide against its $150 million budget, becoming the highest-grossing film directed by a female director until Frozen (2013), as well as the highest-grossing film solely directed by a female director until Wonder Woman (2017). It is also the sixth highest-grossing film of 2011, and the highest-grossing animated feature film of the year. The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature at the 84th Academy Awards, losing to Rango. Nelson became the second woman to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, after Marjane Satrapi for Persepolis (2007). A sequel, Kung Fu Panda 3, was released in January 2016.

The flashbacks were in 2D at first because Po thought they were just dreams, but later they switched to 3D when he started remembering them as real memories. Such a cool detail!
The sequel got insane and emotional. Po's past was so depressing how he lost his mom. Lord Shen is a dark villain with a dark past

Did you know that all pandas in zoos outside of China are rented? They are rented out to zoos for hundreds of thousands to even millions of dollars for usually about 10 years. Any babies born outside of China are returned when the rent is up as well.

Technically if you think about it,the peacock of the second movie is something similar to Hitler or other dictator before him in history,he wanted to erase an entire race of animals,the pandas.

This 'mini' movie (24min) contians the background story for all of the Furious Five members: Mantis, Viper, Crane, Tigress and Monkey.
If you're interested, I would recommend to take a look, it does gives nicely some more depth to the characters.

Kung Fu Panda 2 is my personal favorite, because I was adopted and seeing Po’s relationship with his father, Ping and finding out what happened to his mother… bro I cry every time😭😭 Plus as evil as Lord Shen is, he’s such an awesome villain!

Bout Kung Fu Panda 4, to me that one is a 50/50 it's not a super bad movie, but compared to the other three it is kinda shit, I still think you should watch it, but don't get your hopes up for it being as good as the others
