I'm off to Epcot today! Travelling solo, I try two more table service dining options with Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge and La Crêperie de Paris in the France Pavilion. I enjoy some classic Epcot attractions, manage to stay to see Harmonious and meet-up with my friends Jen, Brooke and Tommy (Brooke's partner who was off camera).

EPCOT VLOG OVERVIEW
My day starts out in my Deluxe Studio Standard View room at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House. This is my first stay in a Disney Vacation Club room using my membership points. I head to Boma (the buffet restaurant within Jambo house) for a delicious and enjoyable breakfast buffet meal.
Taking the bus over to Epcot, I share the new entrance plaza and show how you can use Early Entry in the mornings. From there I head to the left and pass the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction. There I see the newly completed Novacorp ship, before making my way on to Test Track via the single rider line.
I pop into the Odysee Pavilion to see the Epcot Experience without anyone else in there (which was amazing) and then make my way into the Mexico pavilion to ride the Grand Fiesta Tour. This was a really special ride, as I got my own boat! A great start to the solo holiday.
Throughout the rest of the day, I enjoy Living with the Land, Spaceship Earth, Soarin' Around the World, Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, Frozen Ever After, The American Adventure and more! I have Disney Genie+ for the length of stay this trip and I also bought two Individual Attraction Selections on this day. Availability was pretty good and I learnt that by refershing often, you can normally get a cancellation time as a solo traveller.
For lunch I dine at La Crêperie de Paris, of which I give you my full review of the restaurant. I managed to get a last minute reservation by searching by the times just an hour before I wanted to dine. I meet up with my friend Jen and get introduced to the lovely Brooke and her partner Tommy. We spend a wonderful evening chatting Disney World, see the 50th Anniversary Points of Light show on Spaceship Earth, as well as the Rainbow Connection show exclusive during the Festival of the Arts 2022. Before concluding the vlog, we make our way to the Germany Pavilion to enjoy Epcot's nighttime spectacular: Harmonious!

When I went on my solo trip in 2019 I noted down all the places that you could eat at the bar so that if I didn’t want to sit on a table on my own I could do that. I’m used to dining on my own so there wasn’t anywhere I felt uncomfortable and the cast members were all super lovely. One other thing I’ve stopped doing (not just at disney) is when you’re asked how many I try not to say ‘Just’ before saying me or one, and instead say one please as feels more empowering than using just. Might be helpful for others reading and considering a solo trip. x

Our recent trip (actually at the same time as Adam's) my wife had a cold so a few times I went out for a couple of hours alone, as I approached the cast members I'd hold up one finger and say "one" or "only me".
Single rider t-shirts are now available in the parks, may be easier to buy one of those 🤣

As someone who travels to Disney World solo almost all the time, I find that a positive attitude is everything. I always answer the "just you?" question with a happy "yes!" or "just me!" Traveling solo has benefits just like traveling with friends and family does. It's easier to get dining reservations, single rider lines, you can do what you want when you want to, etc. I know you know all this 😀 Solo, coupled, friends, family....you're in Disney World! Enjoy it!!! 🥳

Gran Fiesta Tour is also a core memory for us! It was the first night of our honeymoon and we had been planning for 7 years to go. We were a little tipsy on margs, got our own boat and ride to ourselves in after close magic hours, and had a little too much fun shouting the song 🤣

I love it early in the mornings or having a whole ride vehicle to yourself bc you can actually hear the vocals and soundtrack of the ride.

Adam, forgive me, but I have not been to Disney World in about 10 years but was Innovations the Epcot fireworks show that with the big globe? I could not watch that without crying. I mean sobbing. It moved my heart and soul like nothing before. I have the music from it and it is even tough for me to listen to it without going into tears. I wanted to be there with you tonight like these other ladies were because I miss Disney so very much, but at 76, I am not sure I could walk it all anymore. I miss it all and have no one now to go with me. It is the happiest place on earth and I cry just watching you there alone. Don't get me wrong, I can still go, but all the updates and technology are past what I am capable of doing. Love ya for sharing your joy with me. Always have and always will.

I looooove Epcot! I remember a cast member sprinkled a good deal of magic on me and my family when we went. I'd gone to book the behind the seeds tour for Living with the Land, and he asked if I was a passholder. I very jokingly went "At Disneyland I am!" and then said no, I'm not. He asked to see my Disneyland pass and then gave me the passholder discount! It was so nice! Another cast member asked if it was just me when I went to get breakfast solo and I said, "Yeah, it's nice to fly solo in the parks!" and they went "It's my favorite way to take in the parks." I felt so validated and it was a great day because I was in such a good mood from that.
I don’t get emotional in life, but seeing Rainbow Connection on Spaceship Earth made me feel all types of feels. We were down there at the same time as you, how about that Saturday and Sunday when the temps never broke above 50 (f) and the AM were in the 30s (f)

Looks like some of the arts festival got washed out for you too. It rained all day we were there and I didn't get to see the chalk art either. I was surprised impressed with Remy though. Thanks for the review on the crepe restaurant. Can't wait to be back!
Went a few times many moons ago and one of our favourites was the ride in the Norwegian Pavilion - Maelstrom? Now gone but it is a family memory like many that will remain with us. We live in the UK and my wife and I would struggle with the walking but the kids (in their 30's) remember so many good things. Treasured by all of us. On our last trip to Florida some years ago, my son was working in Indianapolis and met us in Orlando for a few days. The last few days of our travels we offered my daughter 3 nights anywhere in Disneyworld. What did she choose? No high price resort, she wanted to go back to Dixie Landings, now of course Port Orleans Riverside, not a comment on the new name but it is the memory that sticks. She was really overjoyed.
