The Disney vlog magic is back! Join my friend Gary C and I as we set sail aboard the Disney Magic for a three night Disney Magic at Sea Staycation cruise in a one bedroom concierge suite. This new Disney Cruise Line vlog series will feature the concierge experience, Disney characters, Disney Cruise Line dining, Disney entertainment and more!
This one of a kind sailing was a new offering by Disney Cruise Line in the summer of 2021. This cruise experience includes some modified health and safety procedures, limited interactions, reduced capacity and no ports of call in-light of the UK emerging from the coronavirus pandemic. With this in mind, please note our cruise experience may differ to your own.

It's embarkation day! My longest vlog ever starts at my home in the UK as I welcome you back to the Disney vlogs and share some information about the Disney Cruise we'll be featuring in this series. After a drive down to Southamption, England, I meet up with Gary C and open some birthday presents. We then have a quick lunch at McDonalds before making our way to the new Horizon Cruise Terminal at Southamption Docks.
As we're travelling in concierge, we had an open arrival window and were automatically assigned to boarding group 1. This meant we could be some of the first guests to go through the embarkation process and board as soon as the gangway opened. As part of the embarkation process for this sailing, we had to produce proof of full vaccination against Covid-19 and take a lateral flow test to prove we were negative.
After testing negative, we were allowed to proceed to check-in and security. We briefly waited in the concierge waiting area before we were invited to board the ship. There we went up the gangway, to be welcomed aboard into the atrium on Deck 3. Once onboard, Mickey and Minnie greeted us with a welcome show (where I suitable broke down crying).
After the welcome show, we were shown to Fathoms, where cast members checked we were all set-up on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. From there we met one of the concierge hosts (José) who gave us a quick introduction to the concierge experience and told us about the welcome lunch in Rapunzel's. We then ventured up to Deck 4 midship to check-in to our muster station. It was just a case of simply scanning the signage within the Navigator app.
At the concierge welcome lunch, we enjoyed some leek and potato soup and an ice cream sundae each, before making our way up to the outside decks for a look around the youth activities (kids clubs), some pictures at the funnel, a quick meet and greet with Donald and some intial thoughts of the size differences between the Disney Magic and Disney Dream.
It was then to our one bedroom concierge suite for a room tour! This 1 bedroom suite can sleep up to five guests, features two full bathrooms (including a jacuzzi bath), minibar, sofa, wardrobe, large verandah, dining table and chairs, walk-in wardrobe, vanity, two TVs, one queen bed, one sofa bed and one single murphy (pull down) bed. We were welcomed with a glass of champagne delivered by the concierge bar team, our castaway club gifts and a fruit bowl.
From the suite room tour, we went up two floors to deck 10 to visit the concierge lounge. The lounge features coffee and tea making facilities, a soft drinks fridge and rotating selection of light bites. In the evenings, (after 5pm) a number of alcoholic beverages are available at no extra charge.
For the rest of the vlog, we meet classic Disney characters such as Captain Mickey, Captain Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Princess Tiana and Chip and Dale! We tour the Senses Spa, upper decks during the sailaway and enjoy dinner at Animator's Palate.

Oh my gosh so funny! I love Gary’s comment about Animators palette on the Dream! The same thing happened to me when I went on my cruise with my family! I sat there waiting and told my family something special was going to happen and……. Nothing !😂😂

I admit it, when Adam started to cry at seeing Mickey and Minnie after so long, I shed a tear as well. All the feels, I totally understand! Adam, you will cry your eyes out when you finally see the castle again, I can’t wait to see that! Hopefully we open the borders up soon so you Brits can finally make it back to the magic! 😃❤️😃❤️

Can I just say, it’s half three in the morning, I’m overjoyed to be watching this, I’m laughing and crying and feeling proper hope again, but can I express a personal thankyou for being aware that masks are a burden to deaf people such as myself who rely on lip reading or clarity at the very least when listening through headphones. Adam, your crying was so sweet. I was so emotional right with you. I am glad to be with you on this cruise because mine was canceled for December. Mine was not a Disney Cruise, but a 12-night cruise to the Southern Caribbean. Disney does not cruise out of my area of the USA. Since I travel alone and am old, I love the smaller ships. Gary, you got it right, you feel more secure. Celebrity Summit is one of my favorite.
@@evercuriousmichelle I have been married, but have been on my own for 20 some years now and find that life is so much more relaxing for me. Before I retired, I made sure that I had accumulated enough money aside for at least one vacation a year and that is what I have been doing. My favorite place is Bermuda and I love cruising also. I will tell you that when I cruise, I go through AAA and one of their group cruises. I may not know anyone else, but at least there are people who might recognize me, should something happen to me. There is usually an agent there also. I am 35 in my heart, but my birthdate says I am 76 and the cruise I had canceled on me was to be my last. BOO HOO.

I just came back from my first return to Disney World since 2019 and I wanted to cry so many times but felt like I had to hold back the tears because I was around people who wouldn’t understand. Love you guys and cant wait to sail on Disney cruise at some point again in the future!

When you cried getting on the ship, I nearly cried too. It’s nice to watch someone who just “gets it”. Most people I know don’t understand when it comes to the love of Disney. Hearing the Disney music in the background in terminal made me so happy. So excited to experience this trip with both of you!

I’m so glad you did this Adam! I’ve stayed in 8032 on the magic and it’s a lovely room! Also Glenn is one of my favorite people ever but I’m sure you started to love him the more interactions you have with him in the lounge. Mercedes (if it’s the same person) was our concierge stateroom host on the Dream in January 2020. As wonderful as the cruise was, she absolutely made it a Dream!
