- Welcome back to the start of another Disney Cruise Line series! We sailed aboard the Disney Magic for a 5 night Bahamian cruise to Castaway Cay, Nassau AND Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point! This is such a fantastic itinerary, as we'll get to visit both of Disney's island destinations and along the way, have some fun on the ship! In this video, we take you through the check-in process and boarding the ship to the shows and dinner on night 1 of our cruise. We also experience Mickey's Sail-A-Wave deck party, Twice Charmed at the Walt Disney Theater and so much more.

Awesome! It’s a great room location. We didn’t feel the ship move at all, was quiet and close to the Aft elevators 👍🏻
My favorite cruise ship is the Fantasy and my husband's is the Magic. We were shocked to not see the pursettes appetizer on the menu for Animators Palette.
Fantasy is our favorite too! The pursettes are still there, they’re just on the menu for the second time we dined at Animators! This new menu is the same at all 3 of the restaurants on night 1, but don’t worry, they’re still there!

We are looking at doing the magic and doing an inside stateroom. How did you guys like it and how was the rocking? Im prone to motion sickness so we always do the larger ships, but I really want to experience the Magic.
We didn’t mind being inside at all! For us, we’re only in the room to sleep/change, etc. we had a very smooth sailing and never felt the ship move once in our room. Hope that helps!

Interesting that your stateroom was not maintained better. We were on the Magic back in February but stayed on the 7th deck. The only thing I found wrong with our room was a lose tile in one of the bathrooms, otherwise it was perfect. The Magic does feel like an older ship but I personally loved it so much we are sailing on the Magic again with a group of 16 in May 2025.
That’s some group! We love the Magic too and our room last year was in much better shape. Probably a hit or miss situation, but wouldn’t ever deter us from choosing the Magic again.
@@MattAndAlexVlogs 6 of the 16 will be under the age of 8, one being an infant. And 11 of 16 have never sailed before. And it will be a blast!
That menu is not NEW. The Let The Magic Begin menu is often the first night menu on longer cruises or cruises Like 5 nighters where you don't have enough time for a full 2 rotations. All 3 MDR would have been serving that same menu that night. You will then have the signature menu at each MDR and your other repeat night will be Pirate menu in all 3 MDR.
Oh interesting! We didn’t have this menu on night one of our 7 night cruise last year and haven’t had it before, so figured it was on the newer side. Good to know!
@@MattAndAlexVlogs Yes it's not on every cruise, but I've had it on an 11, a 12, and a 5 nighter. If a 7 nighter is in Carribbean then you likely get the 2 rotation sets of 3 each (3 siignature and then rotation of Capt Gala/Prince and Princess/ animation Magic) and then the extra would be pirate. I should've clarified that. I have only had pirate menu twice hahaha because of where I have cruised.
We still love the magic! Great video, gets me pumped our family will be back on the Magic this October for another Halloween on the high seas. 🛳 🎃

Did you stay at a hotel in Ft. Lauderdale or drive in? If a hotel, may I ask where you stayed?
We drove down the morning of. Was about a 3 hour and 20 min drive from where we are.
