The music! The costumes! It's all so groovy and fun.
Love your reaction. They are wearing the same costumes they wore on the ' Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band ' album cover.
Those sexy dancers are grandmas now
Now you’re starting to understand the appeal of the Fab 4
At their absolute peak with this. I was then a very young Beatles fan.
That's why Paul was known as "The cute Beatle". These costumes were the ones they used in their Sgt. Pepper album. They were just used those two times. But it did bring bright colors into fashion at the time. Also, that is why many years later, Michael Jackson started wearing uniform outfits. He was a huge Beatles fan.
MJ ended up owning the rights to the entire Beatles music catalog at one time.
THIS was recorded as part of the SgtPeppers sessions, and here they're in their front cover band uniforms...
It's funny&sweet, Steph, kinda like u!
And, yes, this was Paul's song, "dedicated" to his JaneAsher, which was refusing to end her acting career just to be his wife! Paul couldn't understand why she didn't want to "settle down," and wrote many songs about what he considered her "obstinacy" to his pov!
It actually was recorded in the fall of 67, Sgt. Pepper was released in early summer. So not quite in the same sessions.
Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane were songs recorded in the Sgt Pepper sessions and released as a single but not used on the album. I'm not sure how they decided to use the Pepper suits for this video.
This song is from their "Magical Mystery Tour" album, released in late November, 1967.
It DID come from Paul! I heard on Sirius XM Beatles channel a few weeks ago that some friend was asking Paul how he came up with songs. "Well it's really quite simple. I take one word, then look for the opposite word, then try to tell a story out of it, or create an idea with some tension in it, and off we go! Like "Yes" or "No" Or "This or "That" And of course he started playing the piano and sang "You say Yes! I say no! You say..." ----Something like that, anyhow, lol!
The Beatles were pure joy. I don't remember the writer, but I remember the quote: "Not liking the Beatles is as perverse as not liking the sun."
Also the great quote from Kurt Vonnegut who said that the job of artists is to make humans appreciate being alive, and that the Beatles did that.
The Beatles in the gray suits are saying goodbye, and the newer Beatles in the bright colorful costumes are saying hello. The Beatles were changing at this time.
The Beatles were changing all the time!
I like to wear such outfits. That one scene where John is pointing at the camera is mimicked by Crispen Glover as the elder McFly in "Back to the Future".
He was doing his Elvis impression.
Simple but genius song from Paul McCartney!
I agree, simple songs usually quickly become boring or even irritating, and yet after over 50 years of listening to Hello,Goodbye I never tire of hearing it, as you said - genius.
I have always loved this song by Paul. First time I saw Paul McCartney live in concert he started the show with this song. I loved hearing it live. A Great time.
John contributed the coda..'hella hella aloha'...on which he played the piano (Playboy interview).
The costumes were specifically used for the picture on the album cover of Sergeant Pepper. Otherwise they were seldom used. One thing people liked about The Beatles from the beginning was there humor, joy when performing, and happy go lucky personalities. Their relationship changed in the later years, and some of them didn't even like being in the recording studio together.
when u paused it & said "they are so cute" was a call back to the matching type suits they used to wear in 1963, 1964 back when they were new to the world, this is 1967 & ironically theyre still wearing matching suits, kind of, but its a little different this time, after the campiness of psychadelic 67, there'd be no more matching anything
Yep, 67 was like the Wizard of Oz, going from black and white before to vivid color, ever after. Jimi Hendrix also had a little to do with that vibe! Peace. ✌
Yes Paul is cute!!!! He's always been "the cute Beatle".
We saw a "Beatles Tribute" band many years ago. They did a great job..... many women in the audience were actually crying!
They played early Beatles songs first, then took a break.
When the 2nd half of the concert started they raised the curtain and the band were wearing these outfits.
They got a standing ovation before they even hit the first note of "Hello, Good-Bye."
It was a great show and we got to re-live an important part of our youth...The Beatles meant that much to many in my generation.
Magic of the Beatles, you know it when you see and hear it, crosses generations
Pre-music videos, they were promotional films or "scopitones".
'The cute one.' In the 60's I think every girl in the universe said that about Paul. John was the serious one, George the quiet one, and I don't recall which 'one' Ringo was. Another great reaction!
Ringo got the most fan mail
Wasn’t Ringo the “funny” one?
You’re listening to the greatest band of all time
to me, this is their best song next to It’s all too much.
I think Paul was characterized as "the cute Beatle". They were all cute. The first "boy band", but with enormous talent.
Your excitement tears me up. Thanks for keeping the boys relevant🤘❤️
Notice Ringo has a toy set of Drums, then a full adult size set of drums...suddenly he has a toy set of Drums....part of the Beatle's humor
What a sweet reaction video!!
They certainly were cute and adorable but how about the music? Such a bright, fun, happy song, fairly simple but delivered in a way only they can. They were the best band ever, with the biggest influence on popular music in my lifetime. For more, do the official video, original audio of their great Day In a Life. Masterpiece song, you will have more than what they are wearing to contemplate and enjoy. I would love to hear more of your thoughts on the music itself, you are a fun reactor and beautiful young lady there Steph. More Beatles! Enjoy. 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶🔥
The Beatles still swoon young girls.
One of my favorite Beatles' songs. The first time I saw Paul McCartney live in concert, he started the show with this song. Much to my delight. Just like in this video, the curtains came up as the song started.
Steph!! I'm so glad you liked that video and song! That is one of their many sparkling, happy, exquisite Pop songs, which Paul McCartney is/was particularly adept at creating (along with John)! If you liked that one, you should also check out "All You Need is Love", "Fool On the Hill", "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band/With a Little Help From My Friends", "Got To Get You Into My Life", "All My Loving", "Can't Buy Me Love", and "Ticket to Ride", just for starters! They have SO MANY great songs, from Pop to Rock to Psychedelia to Ballads to Guitar-driven New Rock (circa 1964 - 1965), to many other styles! Welcome to the ultimate Rabbit Hole, dearest lady!
One of the VERY rare Ringo Drum solos. Just a super-sweet single, good clean fun from Paul.
Hey La, hey la Aloha. Aloha is Hawaiian for hello and goodbye, hence the hula dancers.
What's not to love from you and from the Beatles??!! You: the make-up, the freshness of female youth, the giggles, the beauty, and honesty! Beatles: their tendency to evolve and innovation, never to look back! 🌹🌹😍😍👈👈✌️✌️✌️😎😎😎😎
It looks like you really enjoyed this one! Their "cheekiness" really comes through in this performance. The throwback portion of the video is fantastic. 😄
People can't tell me that the Beatles didn't invent the music video after watching this. But us older people, we always HEARD the song first, on the radio. The video or "Film" was a promotional film sent to the USA and was broadcast on Ed Sullivan Show, THE variety show where you know you finally made it in show business. The Beatles had appeared first on this show in February 1964 in the type suits you see them wearing in the middle, with no collar on the jacket jacket. By 1966 they had topped earing them and stopped touring. To them it was a joke to wear them again. Actually wearing the Sgt Pepper colorful suits was also a joke to them. it was just to promote the record.
this song on the radio was my first memory of the Beatles and ive loved them and their music ever since..
brilliant musicians, superb sense of humor, constant creativity of form and freedom, tight rhythm, each one of the boys possessing star frontman riz
Loved your reaction, Steph. Paul definitely had the lightest and bubbliest persona of the four, but he could also write soul-wrenching beautiful soft ballads. My favorite is "Here, There and Everywhere." 😊
Billy Shears surpassed everybody in the band, especially Paul. RIP Paul ❤ !!! Jerry.🗽
Weirdo
It's "hard to explain" how cute Paul is because...he's IMPOSSIBLY cute, haha!
One of the most lovable group of musical geniuses as seen by one of the most likeable youtube reactors!: Steph "Double-Watch" Gard!
Please, react to "I’ve Got a Feeling - The Beatles" Live Rooftop
This was the first single I ever bought back in 1967 on a 7 inch vinyl.. Cost me 7 shillings and sixpence and I still have it
This is a Paul song. It started out "Hello, hello" but evolved in the studio a few times. The master did not have as much of an edge so they started all over and this was the result. On the Beatles Anthology DVD set there is a bunch of unused clips from the video of them goofing off that are worth looking for.
So good to see her loving this.
McCartney grew up surrounded by music. His father wrote Broadway type musicals, and his mother was a singer.
Try Here comes the Sun......or the song Yesterday
The Costumes were for a Project Where they "Weren't the Beatles", they was "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" (They made an Album by that name).
They have a TON of Songs Worthy of a reactions.
But a Beautiful Song I'd Suggest for you was written by the guy in Orange (George Harrison) called "Something".
This band changed the world
At that time The Beatles were in their "Sgt Pepper" phase. Paul McCartney tended to write upbeat happy songs about firemen, barbers, meter maids, whatever, while John Lennon wrote more angsty songs.
Hey Steph, did you notice Ringo's drums get small and then they get big, more Beatles please, great pic, thanks 😎🏹🌷
Watch Your Mother Should Know...another fun surprising video😊
The picture quality on this for 1967 was exceptional, they should have used the film crew for the moon landings 2 years later LOL, hello from Great Britain by the way.
Paul is my favorite Beatle-since forever ❤️
The Press gave Paul McCartney the name Baby-Face Paul McCartney, and yes, he was the one all the girls went for. The collar-less grey suits were their stage outfits which manager Brian Epstein had them wear when he took over, to give them a more professional appearance. During the time of The Psychedelic Era, atypical colorful clothing and art were the fashion, with The Beatles being among the trendsetters. A Special and Unique Time, if you were around then and even now! :)
Did you notice that Ringo's drums kept changes sizes? I think it was a goof on the earlier lip-synced videos where they never even had Ringo drums.
If Steph's reaction is anything to go by, we will soon be in a second wave of Beatlemania.
The correct reaction when hearing a great song for the first time, is to listen to it again asap
The Beatles made many many such songs
This song and magical mystery tour. ❤
This was a rather tame female reaction to The Beatles comparatively speaking. In the 1960's all the teen girls in the audience screamed so loudly at every single sold out Beatles concert that the musicians themselves could not hear themselves sing or play. After 3 years of international touring around the world with near riots almost breaking out at every concert (including one in Vancouver, Canada, where The Beatles had to cut their 12 song set list to 11 and quickly leave the stage to avoid being mobbed by the frenzy crowd), they quit touring to devout themselves to studio recording only. Paul himself described the live Beatles concerts as they were as simply "Puppets being screamed at" when they really wanted to be was "musicians" who's music could actually be heard. To give a prime example, try listening to The Beatles "Live at Shea Stadium" album. But IMO my favorite "Beatles-ISH" live concert is Paul McCartney's 1976 "Wings Over America" live album and DVD where he sings 4 classic Beatles songs in addition to his solo material.
esta canción me emociona hasta las lágrimas, es hermosa.
The classic Beatles "Bow" means a lot now to a lot of fans
THIS A GREAT REACTION TO MY FAVORITE BAND OF ALL TIME
That was an awesome reaction!! So cool!!!
Peace
NICE! First time visiting. Not sure what BEATLES you have already heard but wouldn't be a bad approach to start with the begging hits and work forward with LOVE ME DO,,, PLEASE, PLEASE ME,,, and HELP etc.!!! I'm sure you would like and do well!! Great Reaction Steph and stay on Gard 😉 Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎
Those girls will be grandmothers now. 😃
You shouldn't be too surprised from your McCartney attraction, he was only 25 when that Video was shot.
Looks and Talent. Twenty Five...
Filmed at the Saville Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue in London (it is still there but is a cinema now) on the same stage where The Beatles heard Jimi Hendrix pay tribute to them by Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band 3 days after it was released. That scene was recreated in the 2013 Jimi Hendrix movie Jimi: Is All By My Side featuring Andre 3000 as Hendrix. I bought Hello, Goodbye at the time but I still prefer I Am The Walrus which was the B-side to this non-album single. Love your enthusiasm Steph ;)
The Beatles - The greatest of all time.
George and John are wearing the same outfits on the Now and Then video.
Quite nice Steph
Thanks you!
Rock🤘😎
Hi Steph, the costumes are from the album cover of Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Top selling musicians of all time.
Don't worry, you don't have to explain Paul McCartney's cuteness to anyone with eyes 😍🤩🥰
These are their imaginary band uniforms from being in the marching band Sergeant Pepper's lonely hearts club band which 7:43 was a marching band. Doing parades.
They were wearing their Sgt. (Sergeant) Pepper outfits that is on the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club album
if you want to see them in them in their original look (the one you went back to achek out) react to this one. She Loves You REMASTERED - Best Quality ever! or there is a german language version of the same song The Beatles Sie liebt dich HD Sepia!
Part II 😁 Did a quick scan of your channel and noticed The Carpenters (first time) and YES ,,,, ROUNDABOUT!! Nice! Got to check those out! If you do these BEATLES #1 most get blocked but if ok you might do two songs at a time since most are so short! Thanks! ☮️
Hello Steph, have you ever watched the Beatles movie “A Hard Days Night”?
I'm still waiting for one of these reactions to notice Ringo's shrinking/growing drum set.
I notice Americans and a few other nations start their greeting with what's up.. When we brits say what's up we asking what is wrong what is the matter 😊
That's why Paul was the cute Beatle lol
A real fun song. Top 40 radio did not want long songs for singles. The original juke boxes only played 3:00 of a song so they could play more songs per hour.
They’re influenced on culture and music is immeasurable
They are personifying Sgt, Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band. Paul's name is Billy Shear. I recommend you watching the movie Yellow Submarine, you´ll find there where that band comes from. Big kiss alongside my blessings. Grandpa Diego.
In the song Sgt Pepper, Paul introduces Billy Shears (Ringo), singing With a Little Help from My Friends.
You're completely right. My mistake.
Paul' s personality is still that way today. 😂
Have you watched the beatles very last song/ video released this year? It’s called now and then. With ai. Its a tear jerker but it is billed as the groups last song. 😢

Yhea, said the man how use drogs is “💅cute 💅”
I think you'd love "Oh Darlin" by the beatles and then, Hey Bulldog
Another great one is "Because" by the beatles
Yes, those are the same costumes they wore for the Sgt. Pepper cover.
Here comes the sun next ❤
Slash ft Myles Kennedy n the Conspirator "anastasia"❤
They were called "Naroo (?) " jackets, those "Sgt. Peppers" colorful military uniforms.
Nehru jackets. They were named after the first Prime Minister of India, who was admired for his sense of fashion. Cheers!
the best band of all time
los redobles de Ringo parecen fáciles, pero son su marca registrada. super reconocibles..
Gold podcast 🎉
George Harrison was not feeling it until the hula dancers came out 🤣
There are two other versions of this video with The Beatles in their 'hip' outfits.
I believe this was one of the first albums recorded in stereo?
Liked and subscribed and shared
People never comment on Ringo's drums going from tiny to huge
They are wearing the clothes from the Sergeant Peppers album cover. They were sick of touring and sick of being "Beatles"..so the concept of the album was to be another band and to take a new identity.
