As a kid I watched The Twilight Zone, and The Outer Limits often. This song, paired with those shows captured my imagination. The Cure is always innovative and original always thinking outside of the box but still remaining authentic. I've listened and enjoyed their music since the 80's and never get tired of them. They were a refuge for me as a youth helping me to escape from the abusive upbringing I had to endure at a young age. Its not just music to some of us its a way of life and an instrument for survival. I appreciate all of the Cure band members you all are so gifted as musicians, writers, artists, etc. So many people don't give so many of the band members of these music groups credit for their contribution to the songs, all of you are important like a machine or conduit for artistic brilliance. God bless you all and all of your families. Thank you so much for the great music. Much Love

Come closer and see
See into the trees
Find the girl
While you can
Come closer and see
See into the dark
Just follow your eyes
Just follow your eyes
I hear her voice
Calling my name
The sound is deep
In the dark
I hear her voice
And start to run
Into the trees
Into the trees
Into the trees
Suddenly I stop
But I know it's too late
I'm lost in a forest
All alone
The girl was never there
It's always the same
I'm running towards nothing
Again and again and again and again...
These words make me mad and sad all at the same time! But all so glorious
There's something vaguely primal about it...gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.
