It looks 200% better! Beautiful ❤️ Honestly instead of doing a complete gut, just get new counter tops, add your backsplash and get new appliances (I'd go with black - just my preference😊) and call it a day. Save that money girl! Though I would also maybe find a way to incorporate that pretty green from dining area as well over on the wall with your wet bar area and pantry to tie both together. Great work! ❤

Great job. Have you considered painting your countertops? They look like laminate. You could do a faux marble. That would elevate the space, too. This is a suggestion if you are not doing countertop replacement. I've painted countertops, and the results were great.

That Wooster angled paint brush is one of my favorites too! Especially for painting updates at home. I've purchased many of them mostly on amazon. They used to be only $5.xx under $6. You could’ve got a panel of beadboard and put around the bottom of the cabinet then painted. That would hide the dog damage or get some wider strips of trim and put on the end of the cabinet and hopefully cover the damage

Hey Beautiful, do you need primer on the cabinets? I often don't prime anything but I do sand down to the natural wood. I imagine it helps with the tannins staining.
You did so fabulous on the bandaid budget kitchen! ❤ Is the half dark/ lighter top (chantilly lace) a trend in styles for cabinets atm? We are going to tackle ours soon and hope to build a banquet/island seating like yours. ❤
