Finland is one of the top-ranking countries in the world when it comes to education. Now I have an inkling of why that is . From a news article: TheBoard of Education outlined the country’s vision; equal opportunities for all students.
It said:The focus in education is on learning rather than testing.
There are no national tests for pupils in basic education in Finland.
The Finns are obviously not just fun-loving, good dancers!

I know it's late response but, this is awesome. This is how ALL educators should be. People learning from example and educators who are not ashamed to participate.
As a former female principal, what she did took great confidence and nerve to perform in front of a very critical audience. Congratulations, I'm sure she is amazing at connecting with her staff and students. Well done, no matter when she did this.

three norns agreed, I've had this discussion with one of my co-workers. My argument was "If the US stopped spending all of our money on the military and stopped policing the world, we would be able to put more of our money into public education like Europe." I don't even think most of our allies even want us in their neck of the woods anymore. His rebuttal was "M'ERICA!" and than he threw his chair across the break room.

You notice no metel detector's at the doors and the students get along with one another it's called good gun control students in Finland don't have to worry about being shot at by a nut case. Students feel safe and get a better education.

That Principle has to be the coolest Principle on the planet, I never had someone in charge who actually identified with the students like she does. Awesome video.
It is awesome to see that Europeans are dancing on Indian Songs but most mesmerising thing is that they are enjoying it.
Study is not about pressure, stress, mugging up and scoring high, it all about knowing new things and always having fun experience though the learning process. I wish if I could show this video to my school's principal. In India students are pressurised by their parents to choose the profession of Engineering or Doctor, even if they are not interested in it . Our Indian society likely to take education as big competition where everyone is running on an endless marathon and eventually the students end up feeling despondent and commit stupid things.
God bless to all those happy students in the video. I know they all will shine in their future.

Indian music is so popular these days even so far from India
I taught school for 16 years and I still substitute. We have instances like this one in Oklahoma schools that help make students feel welcome. Being loving and kind has never killed anyone. So love this video. I have to take my hat off to those brave students. So vibrant, energetic, and school proud!
