Hey Adam James here. I bought patches from you a little while ago. Glad to see you are still putting out music. I love this! Great atmosphere. It takes you places! Good stuff. Blessings - JT
Love everything about this! I was honestly about to comment how I even like the way your look goes with the whole vibe, but of course that seemed very awkward and silly. Then I saw this other guy’s comment so I’m saying it anyway :) Really enjoying the Sledge patches I bought from you a few weeks back too. Keep up the good stuff, and congrats on the Oberheim it sounds incredible!
Hey Adam,, This makes me think of a place with rocky coast and deep blue sea at the mid day when the sun is at its peak... Very very nice Also, please tell me, in your video with the black studiologic sledge where you use one oscillator to modulate the other - is this feature possible on the yellow version or is it limited to black only? I admire your vids... Keep it up Thank you
Hey thank you! I appreciate any place I can take my listeners to but here! As for your question, both the original yellow Sledge and the later black edition can do this; it's a core part of what makes it's signal flow so unique; starting with a wave table and feeding it through OSC 2 and sending the combined signal of OSC 1 and 2 to OSC 3 allows you to basically create a theoretically limitless unique wave forms even before you get to the fuckin filter! Very nuanced and useful feature the Sledge! Do you have a yellow one?
@@AdamBorseti yeah, i bought one a few days ago, it should arrive anytime soon... I was surprised to see how little attention it got online... However i really loved the sound of the synth and seeing your videos made it even more intriguing to me, hha... I was very confused because (i feel) in too many videos and comments people make harsh and absolute statements without the neccessary in-depth knowledge about the instrument in question... Your videos demonstrated what a synth can do in good hands, and that helped me decide Cheers
What are your thought on the 3rd Wave Synth? It's about the same price as your OB-X8. Since you were using a Sledge which has PPG and Waldorf heritage, just wondering why you went with the OB? Great sounds of course. Excellent.
I think the 3rd Wave looks gorgeous and seems like a modern day re-imagining of the PPG. Originally, I was saving up for a Sequential Prophet 5 Rev 4 early last year; I decided that I wanted to treat myself for my birthday in November with a classic. Thing is, that's when I saw that Oberheim was back with the the OB-X8 and I always had a strong affinity for the Oberheim sound since I was a teenager in the summer of 2008, playing the Sonic Projects OP-X plug in, so owning the real deal was always a dream. It was vastly more expensive than the Prophet 5, but I had to go for it. Zero regrets!
Great atmosphere, evoked a combination of ideas; a hard-earned amnesiac-recovery, something lifting-off for the first time and the second of three forms of an eldritch but empathetic JRPG boss. Off-topic but I was wondering Adam what happened to your original songs with lyrics released 2020/2021 I believe, I think there were 2 but perhaps not, they were in my RUclips 'Likes' and a separate playlist as part of a regular listen when I wanted motivation but were removed a long time ago. Are they now available for purchase elsewhere or were they removed for other reasons? In either case thank you for this new upload and the vibe therein and congratulations on the weight loss and new look. Currently debating my wife on her sister's SSRI medication as her sister's under 20 and I worry it's doing her more harm than good and I know it may feel awkward to hear it but you're one of my examples of people speaking up after-the-fact. All the best. EDIT: On a few listens it also sounds romantic and could be related to the creation and eventual frustration of a relationship, specifically of 2 excited but inexperienced or unfortunately-experienced people as it operates in the extremes. The breakdown at the end, though you may have included it only for fun, really subverts the outcome of the moment the track would be attached to. In a good way if I hadn't made that clear.
Hey thanks for your comment! Do you know the names of the songs in question? I don't remember removing anything from my channel. As for the SSRIs, I'm back on them. Thing is, without them I felt awful. I waited 6 months to let them fully clear out of my system but I started having a hard time just getting out of bed in the morning. I eventually decided that I know what it's like to be off of them and what it's like on them and that I don't want to white-knuckle my way through life just so I can say "I'm not on meds". I might try getting off them again in the future but for now I'm stable and I think it's better to leave it alone. At the end of the day all you can really do is support a person while they're on their journey, but they have to make their own decision; everybody is different. I wish you luck. 😊
@@AdamBorseti Thanks for your reply, I'll have to keep that in mind for the future. I'm only concerned for her but I realise that can come across as unsupportive and that's not my intent. I wouldn't want her to go through anything harder than she has to just to prove me wrong. With regards to the song I'm afraid I don't remember the name and it was removed from my playlist a while ago, I'm sure the lyrics were related to motivation or trying and failing but not giving up. Not much to go on I know but you were singing at your desk while playing and I can't find it in your videos at the moment unless I'm simply missing it. You may have uploaded it during a lockdown but it's all a bit of a blur around that time I just enjoyed the track and found it cheered me up and missed it when it was gone. Understandable if you can't remember or find it on such an ambiguous description and thanks for all the uploads and the response, all the best for the future.
I was going to hate on you due to your apperance but honestly the music you make is quite nice. Good luck in making it big your keyboard is good

I could use an ascending vibe.....
Thanks as always
This is wicked cool. The sound is so immense from the Oberheim! It must feel cool while playing. I would be in a deep meditative state doing that.
Bravo! For me it has a touch of J. M. Jarre, particular the bass. Go on!!!
Very nicely done, love the textures and sounds
Straight up intoxicating, buddy!!
Your work is so excellent. I always enjoy hearing your stuff. This one definitely took me to a place I hadn't been taken to musically in a while.

Superb, loved it.
Nice job Adam. Nice and loud... Makes the floors rumble in my shitty small ass'd one bedroom apartment! Kick ass!
Stunning. So glad this genre of music is still been written today afresh. Thanks for sharing Adam.
Great combination of sounds and creation of a mood and a space.
Very nice 😄👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
