I have a 36 ft. C&C swing keel currently in the Columbia river near Portland Oregon and have been wanting to sail the Caribbean, yet don't want to transport or sail this boat to get there. Wish there was a place to trade boats of equal value coast to coast.

A lot of people live aboard their boats here and never leave. Some locals own boats but not many

I was in Luperon in 1995 the roads where still dirt , and about 20 Boat in the Harber..

What are the taxes and fees like in the DR??? Say a $30 000 dollar sale + Taxes & fees & ----- All in -- Out the door price!!
Not taxes are to be paid at DR as long the keep the foreign registration, which is the logical option.
