A must see series for us new users. This clarified a lot - a lot - of questions. Thank you for this great instruction!
Agreed!
Am really enjoying this video series. Just a minor comment on the editing of this one: there are 4 or 5 times where the cut has the same bit of script before and after the cut, which means it gets repeated.
Thank you for breaking these settings into simple terms. Great video!
Thanks glad your liked it.
Interesting video. Because of your videos I feel more comfortable and better prepared for when I finally get a printer. Thanks as always
That’s awesome Rob. I always appreciate your comments. 😁
Watched you whole series, wow thanks a lot for all this work and this nice and clear videos. I learned so much today.
This is so good for understanding how things work... Thank you.
Your Bambu videos are super informative and I'm enjoying your video style. Keep it up!
Oh thanks so much. Glad you enjoy them.
Just found your channel and am in process of watching them all. SUBBED. I just bought the x1c for my first printer and am learning alot about tinkercad and bambu. Thanks for everything you do.
well the x1c as the first printer is good tbh
Thank you for this series! I'd love to see a video on optimizing supports, using the AMS for different support materials, different support strategies, etc.
Your welcome glad you liked it. Supports are definitely on my list to do.
Thank you for these very informative videos and for your style of presentation. You make it easier to follow and understand.
Thanks so much that is my goal to make it easy to understand and follow. Thanks for the comment.
I recently got an P1P as my first ever 3D printer, and your videos helped me a lot of getting the hang of the software and 3D printing in general. Thank you so much for that 🙂
I would definetly lov eto see a video on supports, as that still gives me quite some trouble, and the automatic settings in Bambu Studio often seem to be too much 😅
P1P as your first ever printer is goated
Had my p1p a week now got lots to learn many thanks.
Great to hear! Best of luck printing. Hope these videos help.
Great series of video tutorials! Hope there's more to come!
I drank a shot of wodka every time you said "slow down for overhangs". I am totally wasted right now.
I tried that too and died
My wife is in the room while I'm watching, she randomly goes, "I swear, if I hear SLOW DOWN FOR OVERHANGS one more time!" Lol
Ha ha ha. Sorry at least I got the point across. 😅
Never, ever, ever play the "Actually" drinking game watching this....
Thanks for those Bambu videos. very helpful.
Awesome glad you like them.
Those artifacts on like in the bow of the benchy...slow down for overhangs. NEVER KNEW! Thanks so much...see...this is why I watch your videos bud! Keep up the awesome work...it's appreciated!
Love the content. But dang there were so many cuts where it repeated stuff and was throwing me off haha. Thanks either way.
Great videos. BTW Outer Wall speed for PLA Silk from Bambu with controllable gloss is 30-60 mm/s instead of default 200 for a nice shine. Says so on the product page.
Very thorough tutorial. I look forward to a similar tutorial on the Support and Strength sections. The Bambu wiki is very superficial on these topics.
When you did the test of reducing the speed. Was it the speed of the entire printing? Or where did you reduce the speed?
Thank you for the teaching, i love the videos and explaining the settings.
got my printer since january.. .its my first printer... i didnt have many problems.. besides beginner stuff.. in the beginning i always tried to print as fast as possible wich isnt good on most models...
I was hoping when you were talking about speeds you would have addressed the accelerations. It seems like the acceleration would have just as much to do with print speed as possible. I assume there is a trade off between acceleration and component wear, like the belts. Would you be able to do a video on the accelerations and how they effect print time and wear and tear on the printer?
Very good channel you do an amazing job! i'm looking to get into the 3D printing world with a Bambu P1S i think and it's help a lot Thanks!!
Thanks you! 3D printing can be a ton of fun but there is a learning curve your doing the right thing by doing the research first. Best of luck!
Thanks for the background and demonstration! I'm assuming you were using the default 0.20 mm layer height here - would you expect any different results if using different layer heights? Intuitively I'd expect that smaller layer heights would yield better overhangs, since a smaller ratio of the deposited thread would be hanging off the previous layer. Do you have any experience with adjusting layer height for overhangs?
So, with the benchy… If you‘d want a clean wall throughout the print would it be best to slow down outer walls and turn off SDFO?
Also good to see that you can get away with 60-65 overhang rather than the usual quoted 45.
such useful information and sharp video. subscribed! Just one question: I simply lower the volumetric speed in the filament settings, if i print something small and i want it strong, with better layer adhesion. Often i don't care about the speed so much. Is this a good method?
Just got my P1S the other day, would love to see a video of the flow test you can manually do. Love your videos on this & Cura
That’s awesome. I haven’t looked into doing manual flow tests. I’ll have to do some digging on that. Thanks for the comment!!
Ok I have an issue I’ve not found an answer for yet. I know in cura you can you can import 2 models and arrange them on top of each other by floating one. In studio it keeps putting the one your floating back to the build plate. Is there a way to turn that off?
Amazing dude keep up the good work :)))
Awesome thanks! Will do!
I noticed that exact line in my very first benchy on my new p1p
Thank you for explaining this, I now understand
Thank you
Can you go through the infill differences please
thanks a lot for these videos learned al lot before my printer arrived. but i have one question when you have a lot of overhannging parts is it fault if a place unnessecary support trees
Hi there can you do a quick tutorial on bambu slicer about supports, they're too stiff and hard to remove
Thanks for your videos you teach me allot :)
Woah! Thanks so much I really appreciate you supporting my channel. 🙏
Brilliant tutorial. Thank you!
Thanks for the video! how can I slow down the printing speed in the middle of the model?
Added to my playlist and some discord groups where overhang questions are popping up. I was looking for a print like this specifically to test, and it seems not all filaments are equal.
Hi. My print sticks to the bed and prints well until for some reason it will make a booger somewhere alone the print from a 1/4 to 8 inches above the bed then it knocks the print over because the nozzles catches on it. It's just a cigar cylinder. Any ideas? This video was so helpful. Thanks
one thing that confuses me is that if you change filament profile, it doesn’t change the print speeds. I assumed it would adjust those as well. Seems the different speeds etc only change with the print settings (eg 0.20 standard, 0.28 draft etc etc)?
LOL... as you talk you move the dam things so much I thought I was having a stroke! lol so funny love your videos tho...
I just got a Bambu X1C and I'm very thankful for your tutorials! I'm wondering if speed is variable based upon the type of filament you're using? Are certain speeds optimal for different filament types and does Bambu Studio adjust the default speeds based upon the selected filament? Thanks!
Thanks for your videos collections. SU-PER useful.
Hope you can also make some where you build something from scratch.
Start Bambu Studio, New Project and let's go! No imports :)
Again, thanks for your videos. Pls keep on doing them!
Awesome glad you are enjoying them. I plan on a few more for sure.
Again, thanks for these videos. All 5 have been very helpful. I have watched them more than once. It takes me a while! :-). Question for you. I am struggling with support material. I bought a roll of SUPPORT FOR PLA from Bambu. But now how do I use it. Do you have a video on that? If you do not, is there a chance of creating one? Thank you.
Hey! Glad my videos are helping you. When it comes to the support material I have some just haven’t done a lot with it yes. I’ll keep that on the list to do when I figure it out.
Thanks for this video, very good and informative. I think that we are starting to get exactly what is needed.
These speeds work very well with Bambu filament. But what would be your recommendations if we use another material, one for which the printing speed should not be higher than 80 mms? According to what principle and which speeds would you recommend to reduce?
29:11 I'm confused at which setting you're changing it to 100 mm/s?
hello i love your videos, can you make a video teaching how to be better with the supports on bambu lab? i got a lot of issues, beacuse im a beginner ,i got issues with the finishing and to take it off. Thank you and keep going with the videos!
props from Portugal :D
Where is the default reset button at slow down for what?
It would be nice to see the same test with and without supports. Does Bambu Studio check automatically the need of drawing supports? I'm gonna buy the X1E
i did understand alot of it. but the part that did not get smarter on is when and how do i know muuch mm or % i could use on over hang? mine now showing 60,30,10,10 and its not rly good result on that.
Tutorial on ironing would be great.
thanks for the videos im having problems with esun filament and print speed is there a way to slow every thing down with out doing each setting one by one /?
thanks
Can you cover fan speeds in relation to overhangs? and also enclosure open vs closed?
I typically run door closed, lid propped open 1/2" on my p1s otherwise I have warping issues on larger prints.
Seems like whats good to prevent warping is bad for overhangs and Im not having much luck printing models with both features.
Hi realty nice video is their any difference printing a figure like yours comparing printing a big box like 200mm * 150mm and 10 mm can i use higher speed settings?
Isn't the white the start/stop of the layer...,
In cura to print faster i would increase print speed, so in orca is outer wall and top surface the place to increase to get faster print speeds?
but how do I put the printer in "silent mode" speed for a print job that's going to run overnight and I want it quieter?
I think you can just go to the front panel and set the speed from the screen
My Bambu studio doesn't show the speed setting. Only quality, strength, support and others...
You have to enable advance settings.
How do you get the view at 9:30, please?
These speeds are ridiculous. I still have my i3 close and my max speed was about 50mm/s. My new Core XY sprints with 200-300mm/s this is insane. Not the speed as such but the quality at that speed.
This video is blurry.
