I believe the centerian was a 500 triple when they first came out. I just loved those sleds and always wanted one. My friend Brian Ritz father owed a Polaris dealership and the first time I drove that sled I was hooked. Great job guys and I love the 650 Indy triple that you put in it. Wow , I bet it's alot faster then that 500 triple was , wow very impressive. Let me know if you ever want to sell it. I'm sure you wouldn't ever give that sled up. LOL. Also great to see that a father and son enjoy the snowmobile hobby together. Love the vids guys. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!

I absolutely love all 3 of those epic sleds. They are so awesome and sound amazing. New tech won't relive that classic sound/smell. Just amazing. Got a Q for you though as you're good at fixing old sleds.. I recently got a Polaris 96' Indy XLT SKS 600 triple. Guy I bought it from said it needed carb rebuild and it was sitting in storage a long time. I tried myself.... didn't work. Took to a shop and they 'fixed' her. When I went to pick her up, they cold started it no problem (I think cold anyway) and then we load it onto my truck and I take her back to my shop. She sat there for a week or so. Tried cold starting one day. She ran for a minute or two then back fired a few times and ended up quitting. Couldn't get it going again. Replaced all the spark plugs and fuel and she still not turning over. Suggestions for next step? As far as I know shop did a carb rebuild and that's it.

One thing I didn't do is spray fuel into the cylinders to try to fire it up and see if she runs to check if it's a bad line or injector. Besides that, I'm not sure what it could be. My uncle used to be awesome at fixing old sleds but old age has run him in these days, he was my only go-to for sled advice. She DID fire up after I got her back into my shop, but she backfired a few times then quit.... then never started again. That's when I put in new plugs since I think they got fowled. Then I wasn't able to spin her up again.

They all sound good ! Over the years I have had many Storms and 800 XCR machines years ago I had a TXL 340 that had a 697 triple put in it with Aaen triple pipes we called it the bomb had lots of fun running it against Vmax 4, ZRT 800 and the Mach Z machines from back in the 90s it was super hard starting out in the cold had to run race gas in it. I would trail ride it up in the UP
I bought an 84 indy 600 from a local dealer here. It was an amazing machine for the times. I believe they were rated at 95 HP when most 440 class machines had something like 45 HP. I had many great times on that machine. Crazy fast
Those 90's Indys are legitimately bulletproof. We have a 97 600 that sits in our barn 363 days a year, fires up in a minute or two every time. No maintenance or anything lol. Great sleds

I'm a fan too. My first was a 73 TX500 LTD, wish I still had that beast. I have a XCR 600 now and looking for the last yr XCR 800, maybe an Ultra too. Just got back from Northern Mn, great snow up there, my Widetrak LX earned its keep breaking trail.
McGregor! I go through there every couple of weeks on my way north of Grand Rapids. Just stopped at Willies last weekend on the way home to drool over new sleds. Never ridden the trails around there, though.
Woo someone knows how to use Google to bad you only get some facts and 9 times out of 10 they are wrong. As for my sled it is a 680. It started as a 600 but I have done a little work to it. Just like how you can look up 2003 Polaris edge xcr 800 and nothing will show up about it. But I am in the processes of building one to say I am the only one who has one.

Oh yes, it has good sound. And the sound of music to my ears is the 1997 , MACH Z 800 Tripple. How sweet it is. My 1997 v-max 800 was just to dang heavy and drank more gas than an F-18 super hornet.

I've have had a 96 storm, a 97 storm rmk, a 96 ultra sp and a 96 xlt special. The ultra was by far the fastest. I couldn't keep an engine in the 97 storm no matter what I did.
I had a 750 storm and a 96 800 dial them in and the damn things would run !!!! 370’ 380’390! On the mains with a clutch kit and ✋ Thunder cats and moch z’s and maybe a tooth off the top gear ‘ with a can 💯
All three of these sleds are nice. I would like to be able to find myself a Indy Storm. They are nice sleds of the Polaris line. The Centurion is sharp.
I had an 91 RXL 650 that I restored and sold last year. Kinda scared of the efi computer thing. I know my way around carbs so I'll just stick with what I know. Hope you get her running soon.
I got a 01 xcr800. Convert the water pump to custom electric. I also put a voltage retifier off a honda 200sx...converts it from AC volts from the motor to12vDC to power anything you want

I had a 94 they were not that fast. I bet your 93 was faster. 115 on the speedo was as fast as she ever went maybe 105 on radar.

No such machine 680 ultra or 750-800storm depending on the year then xlt 600's....

pipes on an ultra are faster than the storms lol. best part is, ultra and xcr 800s share the same crank and crankcase

Had a triple 500 Centurion thumb pulling three carbs is murder. The 800 storm always had problems.

You can get the evo for less then 10k canadian with all the upgrades and a 144 track
That 650 sticker is proper. Looks like the stock "500" one it came with.

I had a 96 storm those thing were an animal for their time! Had 198 studs in it and it would rip the skis up all day but don’t skip a gas station

What's good about the triples is when you Jet the carburetors you put different sizes and each carburetor it works good that way

@@paulcook68 engines with triple pipes sometimes need each carb jetted different to even out the EGT ( exhaust gas temp) for each cylinder.
Had a 650 with Pro 5 pipes and mod. That sled had a cackle you could hear from a distance. Probably and example of legislated silencers...
