He does need to be humbled and I think people are getting ready to call his career over because they're more than a little skeptical that it will actually work.
It's the playoff hunt. That was the main reason for his benching otherwise they wouldn't be so eager to bench their #2 pick. They don't want to be wrong. They have veteran in the locker room that are losing faith and wants to make the playoffs so the HC have to make the decision to benefit them and the team.

I don't know, his attitude and demeanor when it comes to accountability is so flippant and automatic that, that doesn't go away with a benching. That's part of it, but it's also a signal that Saleh is running a business, not a QB school. Saleh has to look the other 52 guys in the eyes and tell them he's putting the best 11 out on the field on O and D. The players know Zach is the worst QB on the roster. Saleh would have lost the locker room if he kept playing Wilson.
All of his screw ups on the field can be fixed, but his lack of accountability makes him uncoachable. To play THAT poorly, then stand up and tell everyone you're doing fine just tells everyone you aren't going to improve.
Zach Wilson and Blaine Gabbert both got drafted because they "looked" like Quarterbacks if you were casting a movie. But if you watch the actual game tape, there was no way they should have been top ten picks.
Zach has troubles reading defenses, throwing with anticipation, throwing with touch, throwing in rhythm, and throwing with his feet set. Zach gargles Harry balls.
To think, at the draft they were comparing Zach to Rodgers. A year and a half later, he's being compared to Jamarcus Russell. Say no more. And, hmmm, maybe it wasn't Moore with the attitude problem.
The thing is that Wilson kinda reminds me of Rosen, comes from a wealthy family, self entitled, probably not the personality that other players would gravitate toward and it kinda showed in that moment when he said that he didn’t let the D down.
It sounds like the reason Zach Wilson is failing is because he can't put his ego aside. The guy has been horrible yet seems unable to admit that he has some things to work on.

Jets REALLY need to change their QB evaluation process. Two big wiffs in a row. And with both Darnold and Wilson...all the flaws for both of them were present by doing a deep analysis of their college experiences and performances. Darnold was a turnover machine in college....and that's what he became in the pros. Wilson played mostly really bad teams in college. Only faced 4 really good teams in college and lost badly to all of them. Big Red flag there that should have been caught. And his inability to make short screen passes should have been caught too. Never should have been a 1st round pick. In my view anyway.
I agree. The Jets' keep drafting these projects and immediately putting unrealistic expectations on them. Like you said, Sam Darnold significantly underachieved in college. But from the moment Darnold was drafted, the team, fans and media built him up to be a savior. What they should have done was acknowledged that he was a big project with a lot of potential, that he wasn't ready and that his development was a major priority. But this can't be, he was so flashy and has a strong arm and can run around and throw the ball hard like Mahomes! Maybe a brain with the capacity (and maturity to take the NFL seriously) that can actually read and pick apart a defense and know where to put the ball are more important traits than having a "canon for an arm"? Nah that's crazy.
The biggest joke of it all is that the real Mahomes can stand still in the pocket and hit a bunch of check downs if he wants to, look at the AFC Championship game from the 2020-2021 season. It's one of the biggest differences between him and someone like Kyler Murray. You can't be a master of anything if you never mastered the basics.
@@blakewilliams2185 Exactly, Josh Allen too. They're exciting to watch and they are able to string together some magic on broken plays and all that exciting stuff, but what enables them to do that is that they're good at the basics. They can still stand in the pocket and move the ball within the confines of the offense the way they need to, and yes as you said have got the basics down pat.
@@BlindTom61 Even Kenny Pickett. Though he went in the first, it's crazy he lasted until 20. Of course if Pittsburgh doesn't seriously overhaul their entire offensive scheme and bring in someone that can design NFL caliber plays they're going to piss away his next few seasons. If this trend of QB misevaluation continues for a few more years I think a few other teams will probably luck into snagging a QB that should have been off the board much earlier. I've almost entirely checked out during the off season this year and I'm still hearing people once again getting wowed by combine numbers and all that unimportant shit again this year.

The Jets have gotten it wrong with Mark Sanchez, Geno Smith, Sam Darnold, and now Zach Wilson... they really need to stop drafting QB's because they get it wrong every time.
I watch the first Patriots vs Jets game and I was confused because it felt like Zac was trying to throw the ball to the Patriots! I never seen anything like that before! He was throwing into crowds of Patriots with no Jets around!
I was so high on Willson , bull think this video is right, he is done in NY…! JETS have a fantastic team, let’s keep looking for that QB to take us to the promised land…GO JETS !!!
the thing that puts the nail in the coffin is his attitude and lack of accountability. that's the type of stuff that loses the locker room and there's no coming back from that.
Excellent presentation that I, a longtime Jets fan, agree with. I would love to hear how the Jets brass convinced themselves of Wilson's #1 worth. Whoever pushed that agenda was wrong and needs to be accountable.
I think this is a trend with the Jets at QB. Other teams have this problem, but the Jets seem to be the main ones along with Cleveland when it comes to shuffling through QBs and failing to find the next savior for the franchise. Outside of Namath, the only decent QBs I can think of for them are Ken O'Brien and Chad Pennington. Even then, those two aren't exactly the highest bar to clear, so the fact that the Jets haven't gotten remotely close to finding a consistent QB on even their level shows how they continue to stay bad despite getting everything else right.
@@KINGkong3747 Justin Fields put up 33 points against the same Patriots team Wilson just failed to score a TD against. Since that Patriots game he has put up 29, 30, 31 and 24 points and has broken multiple NFL records with possibly the worst offensive roster on the face of the planet around him.
Knew he was a bust the moment he declared for the draft and teams wanted to disrespect Justin fields over a kid that played no competition in college and was crowned a king off of one pro day throw … I’ll keep my receipts
Just look at how Tom Brady handles the questions the media throws his way. Even after his big comeback today, he pointed out the throws he missed and how the win was due to the team. That's true leadership. It's holding yourself accountable for your own play and not being afraid to call yourself out. Zach Wilson has a lot of growing up to do.
Remember the argument......he's not just a rich kid brat that's been trained and had everything handed to him. LOL. As soon as he hit the tabloids over the summer, it was over then. He's not like jamarcus Russell, he's like Todd marinovich. Entitled
Zach has physical talent (gun for an arm, good mobility) but that means nothing if you can't stand in the pocket, handle defensive pressure, or make easy/touch throws. Mike White doesn't have his physical traits but he is a far better quarterback.
Some guys aren't ready for the league right away. We've seen plenty of guys figure it out in Year 3/4. If we can get a veteran coach in here to help out we should still be high on Zach next year ✈
The defense is amazing sauce Gardener came in and instantaneously became a top five corner in the League Quinton Williams decided to put his stamp down as one of the best D tackles in the league and on paper they look to have receiving talent and before Hall got injured they had a hell of a running back James Robinson isn't working out right now but I have to imagine when Hall comes back he will look better of course that's going to be next year but the only thing that is shitty on this team is the fucking quarterback it's bad when Joe flacco is legitimately better than you.
As bad as he is, I hate when ppl make it sound like it was such a no brainer to draft on players they missed. They needed a QB, so I don’t blame em for passing on Chase, Waddle, and Micah. Nobody has Mac rated as high as the #2 pick.
Everyone keeps say Taylor Heinicke is not the future for Washington but I would absolutely take him over either Wilson, Trey Lance or Justin Fields. Honestly I don't get the Fields fans. He can run but let's face it he looked almost as bad as Wentz in the Chicago Washington game and Wentz's game was the second worst game I have ever seen. The worst being Josh Freeman for the Vikings. I'm not sure he completed a single pass in the entire game and I think was cut after that one game.
Take a look at the game we’re talking about here if you want to see the worst game… Plays in Pats redzone - zero Second half plays beyond our own 35 - zero 2 sacks (or was it 3? kinda lost count) 77 yards passing 2 dropped interceptions -2 yards in the second half I challenge anyone to show me a worse performance in any game by any NFL QB who wasn’t yanked before the last drive
A Jets D with Micah Parsons and literally anyone else at qb would have at least two more wins right now, even if Parsons had blown out his knee in training camp and hadn't played a single snap this year.

Brock Purdy...
They Drafted Him Because His Mom And Girlfriend At The Time Are 🔥
It's nice that other fans around the NFL get a taste of how us Lions fans have felt forever up until this pretty decent season
They aren’t done with Zach he still has a chance but it’s highly unlikely he succeeds at this point. We need to sign a guy or draft a guy and let Zach sit and backup until his contract is done
College QB's are hard to evaluate, it's not only their physical traits but their mental side too. Was Zach a leader at BYU?
his whole persona was built around messing around with his moms friend
3:09 wow this angle of Zachs throw... How did Devin McCourty not pick that off? Mike White played phenomenal this Sunday. JETS FANS RISE UP. We have hope. He is our Luke Skywalker.
Jets coaches continue to promote and praise Wilson. It's like they can't possibly admit they wiffed again by selecting him the #2 Draft pick overall.
Holy cow didn’t realize Flacco was still in the league
Zach will bounce back
Nahhhhhhhh he sucks
No way 😂
Tell us something we don't know they should've taken Justin Fields
I never understood why he went second. It always should’ve been Justin Fields going 2nd, but hey, as a Bears fan I’m pretty happy Fields fell to us.
I still remember all the people that were saying he was a better qb prospect than Trevor Lawrence after Wilson’s pro day career came out.
Obviously the stage is too big for Zach, combined with him going in to it thinking he was Joe Namath.
You had me at Zach Wilson Sucks.
Smashed the Like.
Zach smashed your mom
8:04, Joe is definitely rocking the inland-Fort Lauderdale resident, high school football consultant aesthetic.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the panthers want them
Bro put up 3 points and said “naw we didn’t let them down” bro what? Lmaooo
I feel like I was the only person that was skeptical when they drafted Zach Wilson
nope, I was too
I was very skeptical and very surprised how the just locked on to him!
Oooops! 😂
I saw him not impressed in college.
It’s illegal for the bears and jets to have a good qb
The Jets have gotten it wrong with Mark Sanchez, Geno Smith, Sam Darnold, and now Zach Wilson... they really need to stop drafting QB's because they get it wrong every time.
It's kind of hard to say how much of it is on Zach Wilson given the Jets are the QB graveyard.
I watch the first Patriots vs Jets game and I was confused because it felt like Zac was trying to throw the ball to the Patriots! I never seen anything like that before! He was throwing into crowds of Patriots with no Jets around!
Every time he throws you have to hold your breath
@@12mach He was hitting the Patriots right on the numbers though!
I was so high on Willson , bull think this video is right, he is done in NY…!
JETS have a fantastic team, let’s keep looking for that QB to take us to the promised land…GO JETS !!!
Orlovsky compared him to Mahomes 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
trevor lawrence is a much better draft pick than zach will ever be
i love it when players blame the weather. It was windy for both teams
Change of heart from your last video 😂😂 told y'all he's a mark Sanchez at best🤣🤣🤣
On the bright side, Canada is still scouting him because they know he can't go back to college at this point.
The Jets were supposed to draft Justin Fields what happened.
This is why you don’t base an evaluation on one crazy throw at a pro day
From day one I knew he'd be a bust.
He busted in your mom 🤣
1) He had that viral video that had the media comparing him to Mahomes.
2) He has a great smile.
You can say that again
I typed in “Zach Wilson sucks” and it literally came up 😂😂 I’m dead bro
Lmao I remember when people said he should go #1 overall 😂🤦🏿♂️
Who said he should’ve went over Trevor lawerence??
@@D.ocument.The.Journey BYU fans
@@D.ocument.The.Journey chris sims 🤦♂
somebody even had wilson as their mvp dark horse🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 THIS SEASON btw
the thing that puts the nail in the coffin is his attitude and lack of accountability. that's the type of stuff that loses the locker room and there's no coming back from that.
If the Jets really want to make it to the. Playoffs they need 2 continue playing Mike White.
Rich Eisen's quote in the intro had me rolling! As bad as JaMarcus without the Sizzurp, that is legendary.
Rich is so funny! 😂
well if wilson loses the locker room hes done hell never get the team back
Excellent presentation that I, a longtime Jets fan, agree with. I would love to hear how the Jets brass convinced themselves of Wilson's #1 worth. Whoever pushed that agenda was wrong and needs to be accountable.
ZACH WILSON PLAYS LIKE A DEER IN HEADLIGHTS....SCARRRED
LETS GO MIKE WHITE...LETS GO JETS
i agree he’s played poorly, but it’s still early for him to mature and improve
I think this is a trend with the Jets at QB. Other teams have this problem, but the Jets seem to be the main ones along with Cleveland when it comes to shuffling through QBs and failing to find the next savior for the franchise. Outside of Namath, the only decent QBs I can think of for them are Ken O'Brien and Chad Pennington. Even then, those two aren't exactly the highest bar to clear, so the fact that the Jets haven't gotten remotely close to finding a consistent QB on even their level shows how they continue to stay bad despite getting everything else right.
Pennington was on pace to be the highest completions % qb ever before injuries
They should’ve drafted fields. I’m blessed he fell to my bears 😂😂😂
Still not very good
@@KINGkong3747 better then -21 yards during halftime lmao
@@KINGkong3747 Justin Fields put up 33 points against the same Patriots team Wilson just failed to score a TD against. Since that Patriots game he has put up 29, 30, 31 and 24 points and has broken multiple NFL records with possibly the worst offensive roster on the face of the planet around him.
@@KINGkong3747 you sound like a dumb bitch that don’t watch football 😂 ima let the people in my replies continue to take it to u .. dumb dickhead
Fields sucks also
Knew he was a bust the moment he declared for the draft and teams wanted to disrespect Justin fields over a kid that played no competition in college and was crowned a king off of one pro day throw … I’ll keep my receipts
If Jets move on from wilson someone who can develop a QB will make him a star
REALLY?
LMFAO
@@chucklamantia3067 Absolutely massively talented and only 23
@@cocodrilo3042 Again REALLY You See That From What Beating Up On Inferior Competition In College
More like a p⭐️
Just look at how Tom Brady handles the questions the media throws his way. Even after his big comeback today, he pointed out the throws he missed and how the win was due to the team. That's true leadership. It's holding yourself accountable for your own play and not being afraid to call yourself out.
Zach Wilson has a lot of growing up to do.
I never understood why Jets drafted him, he was the same exact thing as Sam Darnold
This👆🏼
Nah. More arm talent but still just another YT QB the media wanted to push at the draft
I cant believe darnold is starting again this week the guy is a turnover machine
@@realjcoop182that sounds about white. I meant right
The Jets drafted Sam Darnold, then looked at a QB prospect *WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS* and said yeah lets do that again.
Remember the argument......he's not just a rich kid brat that's been trained and had everything handed to him.
LOL. As soon as he hit the tabloids over the summer, it was over then. He's not like jamarcus Russell, he's like Todd marinovich. Entitled
Wilson lacks literally every single intangible you need at QB
I won't be surprised if the Jets get a new QB at the draft, or they get Carr or Jackson (if the Ravens fumble the bag) in free agency or via trade.
This video is spot on.
If we can get a veteran coach in here to help out we should still be high on Zach next year ✈
Man just got benched for Chris streveler. Zack will be the backup for the Birmingham Iron at this rate
Send him down to the Texans … he would be an improvement over what we’ve got going on down here 😢
The Jets should of drafted Justin fields instead of Zach Wilson
Take a look at the game we’re talking about here if you want to see the worst game…
Plays in Pats redzone - zero
Second half plays beyond our own 35 - zero
2 sacks (or was it 3? kinda lost count)
77 yards passing
2 dropped interceptions
-2 yards in the second half
I challenge anyone to show me a worse performance in any game by any NFL QB who wasn’t yanked before the last drive
Zack Wilson is a bum
A Jets D with Micah Parsons and literally anyone else at qb would have at least two more wins right now, even if Parsons had blown out his knee in training camp and hadn't played a single snap this year.
Yeah he is legitimately terrible
