Its a good advert for road safety with the rsa officer sitting on the bunk and probably a cameraman while the truck is doing 122kph
And hogging the overtaking lane....
@@Fearrbocht and speeding lol
As an Old Skool Lorry Driver I consider my Digi Card as A Friend ...Not an Enemy .....Much less stressful.
I've been a trucker for 20 odd years now and that has to be the most covert device I've ever seen for beating the taco, gone are the days of using a blank a blank taco disk or a wire under the dashboard.
I can't believe an Irish truck would fiddle the tach lol
Alot of irish truckers travel to the uk and mainland europe also
There all doing it 12 hours a day easy to fiddle tacos
And to Australia and back
An Englishman wouldn't, they dont do even 8 hours if they can avoid it.
@@irishboer7124 yes ,and I have it on good authority Englishmen don't like prison ,mind you they like driving because it is sit down occupation
The haulage industry is now over regulated I'm all for safety the truck driver is treated like a criminal now all the agencies want a piece of the pie it's the only job that u get fined for going to work that's why we the truck drivers were told by the r s a when we started the c p c coarse in 2006 it was a one off now we have to do it every year at 70 euro a pop it became a money spinner and we were told u are a professional driver now but the wages didn't match that's why u cant get the drives not worth the hassle any more
There in lies the solution. As a business decision if it doesn't pay stop doing it. Of the job is over regulated and I don't say its not how many hours a day do you think we should drive?
I'm completely out of breath after reading that. Try again with some punctuation.
@@qwertyTRiG sorry me being neurodivergent may play its part in me conveying myself clearly. Which bit do you not understand.
@@mjintegraleI got there in the end. I just had to read it three times. Sorry if I was snarky.
@@qwertyTRiG I think you were referring to @james-to9vh; and I have to agree - it is well hard trying to read something that has no punctuation. It just makes no sense !
Wow!
Fantastic find! Well done to the officers conducting the investigative work and discovering this device and many others! Getting these vehicles and drivers off the roads will ultimately save lives.
Thank you.
Is it not illegal to drive without a seat belt on or in a proper seat?
Yes but remember there is 1 rule for cops and another rule for everyone else
Exactly. While I'm not a cowboy and although rules are to strict, in my opinion they are there for general safety. Driving a truck at over 120 km/h with two men sitting on the bunk just to show it on TV has nothing to do with safety.
True but it does show that the bunk can hold 2.
Hes not a cop
@@petersmith2251
@@andrzejtrucker ah but it's alright, they were on a "quite stretch of road" 🤦♂️A Motorway in the middle of the day in a truck at 122km with two men sitting on the bunk is safe now? This is the most ridiculous show I've ever seen.
That is the most sensationalist description I have ever read 😂 take the thesaurus off whoever wrote that
I like Darren getting help counting
Darren had to put his hand in his pocket to count to 11.
Where can I get one of them black boxes?😅
You just beat me to that.😄
First this I see is he is sitting on the bed when truck is moving , is that not illegal ? driving in the outside lane of a motorway, is that not also illegal ?
It’s a dual carriage way / A road
@@carthstar the blue sign on the side of the road @ 03.56, it is a motorway.. speed limit for hgvs on dual carriageway is 80 km h.. it is 90 kmh ( as he says @ 4.10 ) motorways in Ireland

they make there own laws to do want they want but if you break the law they will screw you
Sat nav tell him what speed he's doing. What's the big deal
😂😂😂😂😂
It's not accounting for any work done the tacho could possibly set to POA as it thinks the vehicle is not moving I just want to be able to do the speed limit rather than stuck at 53mph & be able to change down gear when I want but when a scania is locked in full eco mode it is painfully slow getting to Edinburgh from near Preston Lancashire without a stop on 4.5 hour drive is hit & miss
Rev counter tells you aswell keep her under 1400
So many trucks missing rear reg plates lately . What's the story with that
The majority of Irish hauliers have been running bent for as long as I can remember, once the ferry docks in holyhead, the A55 is a race track , they overtake anything in front of them , carrying probably in excess of their weight limit , the weighbridge at Dunkirk, at the start of the m56 , is avoided by going on the A55 around the back of chester , and picking up the M56 , at ellesmere port , nothing is ever done about it , , it never will be , untill someone gets killed somewhere in the country, and questions are asked
I can tell you categorically having been in the haulage industry for over 3 decades in the UK and now in my 4th year back in Ireland you are biased , racist and downright ignorant of the true nature of the transport industry in the UK.
Personal experience proves the UK transport industry has its own issues as well as every country in Europe.
I can still remember the clandestine switches, the rigged weighbriges, the bent officials and the speeding trucks.
It's still happening today in every country in Europe .
And I'm not even going to mention the big conglomerates who dominate the industry in a cartel like fashion supported by subsidised equipment and nefarious tax schemes.
To single out Irish Trucks is simply ignorance of the industry in its entirety.😮
@@galwayvintagecollection3401 I also have been in the industry for 40 years + , u.k. and European, I now live in North wales close to the A55 at Queens ferry , I regularly travel on the A55, in a scania car transporter for vauxhall motors , I stick to the speed limits , I am tracked and if I speed I get a written warning , ...so , how is it that when I am on the 55, doing just below the speed limit , I am regularly passed by Irish trucks travelling a hell of a lot faster than I am , I don't think that I'm biased , or racist , but if by saying what I see is biased and racist , then I must be ,
@@normanedwards7220 yes you are very much thick!!
@@normanedwards7220 You're an english racist bellend one of millions.
You think this is bad...awhile back i heard a lorry was stopped in wexford the driver only had a CAR provisional licence which was 5 years out of date😂
My record is 127 kph...with the help of gravity a steep hill and vehicle gross weight 48-50 tons..😅
Wicklow company lol 😂
The man was only working on the bang. What’s the big deal?!🤷🏻♂️
Poor lad wasn't even doing any work 😂 he was solo. He was just heading home for a shower 😂😂
Poor driver 😢
Job well done , should be the same if not more stringent on hgv busses
And you'll be the first to complain when prices rise 🤦🏻♂️
I'm a driver my self for 20 years I no what's involved.
Better safe than sorry
Of course it's a Scania 😂
Is London?
That's every truck
I also think there's a problem with the no plate he didn't notice shouldn't it have been yellow. 😂
Irish reg plates aint yellow, they are white and run in this format.. year, county sold and id number. example "211D94731" 21 being the year sold, 1 stating sold in the first 6 months of the year (2 would mean later 6 months of year) D=Dublin, then id number
No what I implied was surely a southern reg truck would not do that it would have to be the bolder one's .
Look at your mans face its like christmas nothing better eles to be doing
Only saving lives.
Could be out scraping bodies off the road. Oh wait!. That's what he's trying to prevent.
Spend a fortune to get a license then all the agencies are doing their best to take it off you.
When you get any sort of driving licence you undertake responsibilities
What gives you the right to drive a truck at 122kph on our public roads? An accident can happen with you driving the same as anyone else, surely you should be doing these speed tests on closed roads or at least with a garda escort, ridiculous behavior and sitting up on the bed aswell not even a seat belt on you, if a member of the public did what you just did in that video their licence would be gone and the same should go for you, its a public road and i don't care how quite and safe you think it is, things can go wrong very quickly especially in a truck that size and at that speed, shame on you
thats all a set up just to make a video to make them look good i hope that garda had a driver licence to drive the truck
They can have the rest of the decade off now, amazing they catch people on TV but reality is you see no gardi anywhere
Police should be made to Walk or have a push bike, Ha Ha
In the US they don't have limiters and they're absolutely fine.
Why are Americans considered by the fed to be good enough to drive without a limiter and the European drivers are considered reckless by the EU?
Bloody Mick's eh?
