Arie is not a bad guy. He had conflicting emotions and I think there was pressure from the expectation of being the bachelor to propose to Becca. He obviously needed more time to decipher what his heart truly needed....who the right woman was for him. I"m sure he had strong feelings for Becca....but he couldn't deny his feelings for Lauren. It was not easy for him to break up with Becca...but he did the right thing. If he did not break up with her, then he would have lived a lie and probably would have ended in divorce. Then all the critics would have lambasted him for having married Becca. With regard to public opinion, this was a catch-22 for him. But he had to be honest with his heart for both his sake and for that of Becca. He realized he could not give to Becca what she needed, what she deserved...He loved her enough to do right by her and break it off before making a huge mistake. This took strength and compassion on his part. God bless him. And God bless Becca in her future.

This show highlights the foolishness of letting your heart drive your decisions. That's what Arie did, and he changed his mind a few weeks after proposing to someone. That's what all of the contestants do and put their emotional well being and dignity on the line to win a chance at proposing to someone that they're not even in an exclusive relationship with.
I'm in the UK so I'm only seeing clips on you tube as it won't be shown here for a while. My fav season was Emily 's . From what I've seen in these clips so far I'm totally surprised by his lack of emotion in the final , really it's like he's going through the motions of being in love with both women. If you think of how he was with Emily @ how he felt about her you could see up If and feel for him. This time I think he wanted maybe to get those feelings back 're capture it what he had with Emily. I just didn't feel it in these clips with either women. I don't think it will last with Lauren it will fizzle out . The way he broke off with becca was like he was a robot. I don't think he got over Emily tbh and he wasn't right choice for the bachelor.

I think it's a classic case of the FOMO on a superficial show. Trying to form genuine bonds for marriage in this format is a recipe for disaster.

I put myself in both their shoes & like he said, he has to follow his heart.......we’re all human & we all change our minds.......she was badly hurt of course but to stay with someone whose only half in, neither of them would be happy & eventually breakup, so better sooner than later. It was the right thing for Arie to do & I’m so happy for him & Lauren. They actually make a cuter cple than with Becca in my opinion. I have a son the same age as arie & would want my son to be happy & in love with his wife. People fall in love & break up all the time, it’s life. And it takes 2

Becca should thank him and feel lucky that he told her what he is feeling and she should respect his decision. Lucky , because he told her now and not after marriage with kids then it will be so difficult and she will be hurt so bad for long time. Plus her family didn’t look they like him . But Lauren,s family loved him specially her father . And both family liked each other. And is very important I’m so happy for them they look marvellous together and their kids will be very good looking. It makes a difference that it didn’t happen all in one day he probably felt he had to make a choice when he wasn’t sure so he chose Becca and within a few weeks he was still thinking about the other girl Lauren he couldn’t get her out of his mind so at least he didn’t marry and divorce he wanted to be sure

Aries boring, Lauren's boring. They're meant to be. This was the most tired season of the bachelor I have ever seen. Arie was a terrible choice for the bachelor, he has no personality. He's so bland and there was absolutely no reason for all these girls to be swooning over him. You can find a guy just like him on the streets, he's not rich, he's not overly attractive, so I don't understand why these girls are so dramatic over loosing some average ass man. Lauren is the same way, no depth whatsoever. YAWN.

This show highlights the foolishness of letting your heart drive your decisions. That's what Arie did, and he changed his mind a few weeks after proposing to someone. That's what all of the contestants do and put their emotional well being and dignity on the line to win a chance at proposing to someone that they're not even in an exclusive relationship with.

I'm in the UK so I'm only seeing clips on you tube as it won't be shown here for a while. My fav season was Emily 's . From what I've seen in these clips so far I'm totally surprised by his lack of emotion in the final , really it's like he's going through the motions of being in love with both women. If you think of how he was with Emily @ how he felt about her you could see up If and feel for him. This time I think he wanted maybe to get those feelings back 're capture it what he had with Emily. I just didn't feel it in these clips with either women. I don't think it will last with Lauren it will fizzle out . The way he broke off with becca was like he was a robot. I don't think he got over Emily tbh and he wasn't right choice for the bachelor.
