One of the most underrated guitar players ever
Happy 61st Birthday Jim "Reverend Horton" Heath. 11/02/59..
Texas Born, Texas Raised and one kick ass performer.
Cheers Rev.
Seen these guys years ago...didn't know who they were at the time...mind blowing...if you ever get a chance to see these guys...trust me...you won't be disappointed!
Have see The Rev about 8 tunes since ‘96. Always great show.
Seeing them in concert in 2023 was the ONLY time I saw a concert where within the week following I bought a new bass amp, new strings and a new pedal. Right up there with Chuck Berry, who I thought was orgasmic.
One of the best songs ever.
I love Jimbo’s subtle Cool Guy expressions- along with the big bass thump, a pleasant experience. And drummer dude just knocks me out- he’s so aggressive yet not overwhelming. And of course, the guy who denies he is a reverend- thus proving it! Rock on fellas
This song always makes me want to go on a road trip...
holy Crap.
Agreed! This is classic music that even our parents and grand-parents could enjoy!
GREAT live show,, jim , jimbo, they are something to see in your lifetime,, do it QUICK
Jimbo's bass sounds BAD ASS!!!
Thank you for this post!! Saw them live in Seattle a year or 7 ago. Best time I have had in ages!
Thanks for rockin' my soul Reverend Horton Heat!!!
Gretsch guitars just hit different. I have a Gretsch Country Club and a Gibson SG...I'll take my Gretsch over my Gibson every day of the week.
The Rev Rules!!!!!!
The Cramps started psychobilly, The Reverend perfected it. There's nothing better.
Man ,that chord at 4:06. what a good idea.Bass player plays for the song, what a band!
This song is about my life.

Unrivalled.
HOUSTON!!!!!
one word AMAZING!!
If I believed in the devil her name would be Heron. Once you give her up she'll case you for eternity and that's a log fukin' time. The pleasure we had was not of this world. My friend told me don't fall in love with her, but I did anyway. It's been 7 years and miss her so much. 👿
Bring It! Yeah Baby Yeah!
Dang that is smooooth
That's the sedate I've ever seen these guys
I like when the lights dim when you hit a whammy bar :D
@xshaman100 "I got a whammy bar mamma!"
Don't forget they only got the name 'tremolo' because Leo Fender got it mixed up with vibrato with the stratocaster, so he called the amp featuring tremolo the Vibrato amp, and the virato arm a 'tremolo arm', but it stuck and sounds better!
That's what I read somewhere anyway
I love how the audience stays quiet during those soft lead parts the Rev plays. Shows they appreciate good Psychobilly! Thanks for that live upload! I always thought Thorogood was awesome and still do, but now....... well y'all know what this ol' drummerboy's gonna write, right? :)
Pappy and harriets pioneer town!!!
he's not dead. He's playing here in St.Pete, Fl in October
Pretty cool how he's touring from beyond the grave.
yeaaah
nice...

Junior playboy al contrabajo
Nose up to the mic, that's the only way to do it.
Anybody who doesn't like rockabilly and psychobilly is no longer my friend! Just kidding, but I'm kinda serious too.
I'd make a deal with the devil for that there big ole' orange guitar....
No need. You can buy it at guitar center.
a rare error by thr Rev during the solo. He saved it like the consumate professional that he is, however.
I will answer for him, since he has been dead a few years now.... Not likely.
