When you're laughing and swinging your head to the beat Jeff, we know you're loving on it!!
I love this song/video. On my play list! ❤️
Talk about upbeat! Can only type with exclamation marks! Jeff, I see you dancing in your studio after you broadcast this. Thank you. A happy way to start the day!
Nice! Swing Out Sister was my favorite in the late 80's early 90's. Whole band was tight. Corrine Drewery would love this tribute. Great reaction.😊
Always loved this tune. Has an awesome vibe. This is an excellent cover and even though I personally prefer Corinne Drewery's lower register from the original, Amy Bird provides a very charming and vibrant alternative. Can't say anything negative about their effort. Very talented group. Thanks for reacting to a great cover.
tyvm for posting this.
a great rendition of a great song. i was going to request the original but no need now. this was a huge hit when i first moved overseas for thirty years and it brings back so many great memories.
i have swing out sisters entire discography in my phone and it always uplifting to hear.
☮❤🙏
The original did not have real strings. And, they performed with Level 42 backing them up live.
Loved this track and the extended version from the album with funny comments. Indeed an era of great music, thanks Jeff for reminding us how good it was! Loved Manhattan Transfer as well from that time!
Yes, nice
Thanks, Jeff. Excellent cover! One of my fave tunes from the 80s. 👍
Geeze they were TIGHT! Fantastic vocals. You're right, NO JOKE! I need to look more into "Bird". They all FLY
Fabulous cover...
Fantastic cover. Great job by all.
This brings back many happy memories. I’d listen to this frequently on my Walkman (remember those!!) when commuting, couldn’t help but bop around. This cover is on point, it’s soooo good!!!
Loved my Walkman! 🥰
@@dotlund1096 me too!!! They were excellent quality, mine lasted until around 2002 when it suddenly stopped working. Memories 😊
Maybe if I had another one I’d walk 3 miles a day again! 😂. Doubtful but maybe….
@@dotlund1096 yes!!! Having a device like a phone playing seems off at times
Loved Swing Out Sister growing up. Great cover! This one brought back memories! This chart is from their "It's Better to Travel" album. There is another chart named "After Hours" that I always loved. You should give it a listen. This group gave this song a good treatment. I particularly liked how they ended it. Nice arrangement.
Amy's lead vocal performance is infectious -- she channels Corinne Drewery perfectly and adds her own style, which is just mesmerizing to watch. Andy Connell doesn't get enough credit for creating a uniquely English 80s pop sound with a nod to the London Swingin' 60s scene. I encourage everyone to listen to all the Swing out Sister albums -- they are truly great.
Here is the original "Breakout" SOS video from 1987 -- amazing! ruclips.net/video/IIOJdMdS56k/видео.html
Amy also posted a SOS cover of "Twilight World" -- ruclips.net/video/ummk-71c1og/видео.html
My next request for Amy is "Am I the Same Girl" -- ruclips.net/video/FN7HugJLI1k/видео.html
