all people are so impressed by the performance....as am I....but most don't know that the bass player, Leonid, selects all the songs and transcribes each part..he does this by ear....once he gets all the parts charted, the performers get the charts/parts and have two weeks to learn their stuff...and his mixing talents are world class...kudos to the one and only Leonid...
Great reaction, Jeff! They nailed another one! On a quick side note, even though this song does have a little bit of a pop sound to it with a beautiful melody, it was released off Chicago VI in 1973. Chicago was definitely a band ahead of its time….they could do it all! I’m always thinking what else they could have given us if Terry didn’t pass away so soon! We are blessed to have what we have, though and so grateful to Leonid and his awesome musician friends for bringing us all back to the fabulous music of all the bands that they are paying tribute to!
Just Beautiful, spurred so many love affairs. Sang it to my girl Sue. She said how sweet, but take some singing lessons Jimmy. Such fond memories brought back by Leonid. Thanks Jeff,,:))
A reunion of Sergey and Serge for a while would be awesome, that was my favorite iteration of the F in L&F. Though I must say, not likely to happen, Daniil and Mikal are doing a great job. Took Kony a while to get his feet under him, but he is so in the groove now.
Serge is the best! Honestly, I like L&F versions better than the original, and I say that as a huge Chicago fan - my first concert when I was 13, 1970, Honolulu.
to be fair, unless Peter Cetera is doing all the backing vocals, the L and F backup singers are world class voices, so its tough to compare Robert and Terry to Ksenia Buzina.
It didn't take me too long after hearing Serge to believe he does Peter Cetera's parts better than Peter did. I think if Chicago had been able to record with equipment as good as what Leonid has we might not be as impressed with the stuff L&F puts out but honestly I like listening to L&F more than I do the original. That said, there is no way Leonid could have done all these songs without the talent of the original band as they wrote all this stuff (well, most of it anyway).
Why it looks to me it is Chicago playing as in the good old days, the 70's. No it is Leonid and friends my favorite cover band. Thxs Jeff . A thought for Serge victim of this stupid war.
Jeff, do you agree that Leonid slowed their version just a hair? I like it because you can hear how accurately they are with every note. Another smash cover for them!
This is a wonderful melodic theme. In all of L&F's work, the horns do a wonderful job paying attention to articulation, better than Chicago did. Every little background quarter note, for example, is the same for all players, whether longer or shorter. It's very tight. I wish they did more improvised solos than copying the original -- that was interesting a fun to hear.
Jeff Brad and I are so bummed. Leonid and friends doesn't have time in their schedule to come to Eugene. They're playing in Portland and it's a very scary place these days. But I just might risk my life and my daughters to drive up there. Like I said we're bummed. I haven't told my daughter yet but her and I will have a decision to make😢😢 😢😢😢
saya sangat mengagumi karya² david foster, tapi sebagai fans chicago band saya sangat benci ketika dia mulai mendekati band ini, karena sangat merubah karaktet dari band ini.
Oh so good.

I close my eyes and just listen and I swear they sound better than the original.
Beautiful cover, really do miss Serge's voice. I was very happy when Michael joined and handles this well too! Can't wait for you to see them!!
The Quality of these musicians is excellent to the point of accurate replication of those they admire for great music = CHICAGO
My wedding song
Love watching your reaction! It really makes you so happy!

SO DAMN GOOD !!!!!!!!!
ONE OF MY FAVORITE EARLY CHICAGO😊
awesome. its so nice when they bring in a "friend" to make it as good as it gets.
Thanks, Jeff. Another great cover!
Yessss,the memories😮❤❤❤❤❤
Serge was expressing his inner Joe Cocker!
Exactly!
Much respect for Michael, but I do miss Serge so much! What a beautiful soul!
Agreed completely!! Really would love for Serge n Sergey to come back ❤❤❤at least for one season of the tours

Beautiful!
Reminds me of how Joe Cocker used to wave his arms when he sang.
New Chicago cover out now! Mississippi Delta Blues ruclips.net/video/dpu2r5WM71I/видео.html
Yup -- and it's HOT!
Jeff, Serge reminds me of Joe Cocker and how he stands and moves as he sings.
One of my favorites

So very awesome. Ksenia is the ultimate shaker player! 🙃 Thanks Jeff!
I had a fever and a part of this video was the prescription
🤣👏👏👏
New L and F drop ,say a little prayer.Wow.

have watched this Leonid track many times but watching Jeffs reaction was the first time I’ve noticed the cowbell 😂😂😂

I just compared them, very close if not spot on, like 1-2 bpm.
L&F, 3min48sec. Official Chicago versions 3min43sec and 3min46sec

If course the cow bell
Love the cow bell! Seems to be there in almost every song. And bongos (or whatever the proper term is).

"Come back for more." He says.
Oh, OKAY, since you twisted my arm I will I guess, but don't think I'm going to like it - except totally!
OFF TOPIC Is anyone familiar with Paul Hardcastle ?
saya sangat mengagumi karya² david foster, tapi sebagai fans chicago band saya sangat benci ketika dia mulai mendekati band ini, karena sangat merubah karaktet dari band ini.
He definitely took them in a different direction
ya dia berhasil membawa peter cetera ke arah yang lain 😢
i am disappointed that the clarinet player didn't match the original solo..
