Manthali - Striding on the path to Prosperity

Although Tamakoshi River flows through this city, Manthali valley still runs dry. Despite the arid location, farmers here earn money by transporting locally produced dairy products to the capital. Local resources are cleverly utilised. Lokta bushes are collected from the forest and made into Nepali paper. People here face acute water shortage, but sweet orange juice is sold in plenty. Similarly, Dhaka and nettle fabrics are produced locally to help the economy. Despite its geographical complexities, Manthali is striding forward on the path of economic prosperity.
