  • This video covers a brief history of automation in clinical chemistry, the forces that drive automation, and its advantages. We also look at the difference between continuous flow, centrifugal and discrete analysis, and the difference between random access and batch analyses. And we finish with what to consider when selecting an analyzer and future trends in automation.

Hi Ma'am, this is Joy from Philippines. I'm a 4th year Medical laboratory science students currently taking Med-lab assessment & one of our task is to summarize each chapter of Clinical Chemistry book by Michael Bishop et al., 8th edition. May I know if you used same book as I for this lesson? Thank you so much

Hi Joy! Yes, I am using the 8th edition from the Michael Bishop book. I sometimes also add some information from the Larson book, which I use for our sophomore/associate level clinical chemistry class.
