Yes!!!! You read that right! It was such a joy to shoot this video because it is such amazing news!
In this video, I go into detail on the eligibility criteria and requirements to become licensed as a registered nurse in the Nova scotia College of Nursing (NSCN) in Canada. I also gave some tips on how you can prepare yourself ahead of the May 1st launch date.
As mentioned, the seven designated countries that are eligible for this pathway are : Nigeria, India, Philippines, USA, UK, New Zealand and Australia.
The changes take effect on the 1st of May 2023. If you are watching this video after this date, you can just proceed to the website and apply if you meet the eligibility criteria.

As in!!!!.....I am really hoping that it opens up to other countries too. I believe that the one for Alberta province for nurses is open to most countries....I am currently doing some research on it and would post that one soon.

Alberta has also done the same thing and has two extra countries on their list which are Jamaica 🇯🇲 and Ireland🇮🇪.
yes...yes....AHS is even more open because they are not restricting countries
@@healthcarewithtemi yes I love that they put my country on the list because I feel like the Caribbean countries are typically left out of things like this. But Alberta recognized that we make up a large portion of the successful IENs there. I was so happy because that’s the province I used to live in as well. Can’t wait to apply once I finish nursing school.

Thanks very much for the information and this will really assist many nurses achieve their life dreams of coming over to Canada. However, I thought the Conditional Licensure will be granted immediately to whoever has scaled through meeting up with all the documents needed including the verification and not necessarily after taking the NCLEX examination by the applicant.
Yes this is true! You can get a conditional license as long as you fulfill all the other requirements. My advice to anyone interested is to try to get the exam done and not rely on the conditional license. Remember that you may likely not be able to get a job as a RN in nova scotia with a conditional license.

I don't think so. You can get a job with it, the employer will employ you at the same level and paid as a Normal RN. Sitting for nclex outside Canada is not seamless

There is a pdf document that your council is to fill and send back to them. This form is on the nova scotia website. Let me know if you need help finding it

No. That is the amazing thing about this pathway. Everything I mentioned in the video are the requirements they need from you. They are totally bypassing the NNAS route this time around. You can click the link in the description for more info directly from the website.

Hello ,my wife just got a 4-months conditional license as a RN nurse, from NOVA SCOTIA pls what advice can you give her , should she also apply for jobs online from Nigeria or wait for the expedited nurse's program to respond?
she has to be on serious job hunt and most importantly start sorting out an immigration pathway to Canada. is she in the express entry pool?

Hi Janet. So, right now, I do not have a telegram group but it is definitely something I am looking into. There are centers in Nigeria for NCLEX-RN. Do me favor: type "NCLEX test centers in Nigeria" on google. I did so and I found some. Please let me know what you find.

Im a Philippine registered nurse, also nclex passer. I saw in webiste but im confused there are list of countries exempted for english test and Philippines is not included. But you said philippines is included
Hi Nie. Did you study for your nursing degree in the Phillipines? If Yes, then You don't need to do any English Test. From all that you have said, you are good to go!!...Please apply on May 1st.

Not for Nova scotia. However, the AHS sponsorship in Alberta is not restrictive of countries..that is amazing news for Ghanaian nurses. I hope to release that video soon.

Right now, Nova scotia is only doing for RN. However, there is a similar pathway in the province of Alberta that is open to RN and LPN. I would putting out a video on that very soon!!

There are direct links for the criminal check. Either use the link for their approved companies or get it done yourself in Nigeria and send it to the college

They have not made provision for that. However, if successful and you get a job....it would be best to consult an immigration consultant as regards getting a pathway for the spouse.

One more Question, I am a RN, I mistakenly clicked on initial registration LPN instead of initial registration RN, however, trying to withdraw that of LPN, I was told it's permanent withdrawal. I am scared to do that since I might be asked to use that same process one day for LPN maybe after I have gotten to a certain point. Please advise
