You state it exactly, ICT is fantastic, but can be overwhelming a lot of the times! Trying to keep up with him, can hurt your trading.....take one of his models, they work, and make it your own, make it simple. You are talking about this, helps me, thinking I was alone , and trying to chase all his models has left me discouraged. He is giving Amazing information but pick what you "see" in the charts and make it a simple strategy that works for you. Glad to hear your trading is getting better, thats awesome, that you again, and keep the content coming!!
I have one comment on 2023 mentorship. This year ICT has made a commitment to personally livestream on select days. This is a rare opportunity when the teacher presents himself directly to the students. I think that it is best on these days to submit fully to his talks and not miss out on any of them. Take copious notes so that if it is too much today, we can always go back to the notes when we are ready.

Thus video has been incredibly useful. I too have been overwhelmed with the 2023 mentorship. I am doing the exact same thing, Back to basics. I was feeling pretty bad about it, fell less so now. I have developed analysis paralysis trying to follow ICTs's 23' Content

Nice video! I'm in the middle of 2022 mentorship and ICT mentions this all the time. You'll never going to have a perfect entry, or exit, or lot size, there will be always something that wasn't perfect, but you don't need to be perfect to be profitable.

Okay, the biggest takeaways from trading are many, here are a few:
-Entry strategy is overrated
-Exit strategy is underrated
-If you feel overly nervous when losing and overly excited about winning you should reduce the risk until you barely have these feelings
-Most retail traders are undercapitalized
-Forward testing is 100 times more valuable than back testing
-Rule based trading does not work as well as discretionary trading from an experienced trader (cause trading is an art form, not science)
-The less indicators the better
-Do not read forums or Discord channels while trading, the input if other traders will add to your insecurity about your own trades

1 question, how did you know when to start trading live funds with ICT concepts or did you skip demo and go straight to trading live
I did this at first and then went to demo to better understand it but now getting much more comfortable

My wife and I have been studying and putting into practice ICT for a while now. Although we have experienced other trading strategies, ICT has been our number 1 (although we are not still profitable). Finding the common denominator in your losing streaks is key. I lost 14 times in a row in February because I was taking a bunch of premarket trades. Cut that out from my strategy and now I'm up 6R halfway into March. Less is more with a higher RR system

@@brianrockefeller3552 means I'm up 6x what I (R)isk. I trade around 4:1 Risk/reward ratios so my winners are 4x bigger than my losers.

Great video. I realized that for me, too much information does no good. Outside of daily bias, liquidity sweeps, FVG/OB entry, I don't need more than that.
I think it's good to have a big arsenal, but not good to use all of it.
I’m hoping to get funded this year - just one acct - that’s all I’m shooting for. I have a career outside of trading but I will say that I dedicate HOURS / DAYS to watching select few ICT traders and study his content - I think I’m about to reach the horizon on profitability. Especially once I took a step back and said that I’m only trading on certain days and waiting for Higher TF directional Bias to play in favor.

My biggest learning from trading is from Mark Douglas. Make sure to size trades properly, it’s not about making it all in a single trade. It’s about risking small enough to not blow up your account so your edge has enough time to play out over a series of trades.

I also have trouble with exits. My last account challenge was with 39% win rate. But majority of those losses were not taking profit when I should have.
I used to struggle with this but what helped me is targeting low hanging fruit as targets and exiting 70-80% of my position then letting the rest run. Also having pre mapped areas of liquidity to target

Biggest takeaway from your video is "1:3 RR with 50% winrate getting funded"
Despite knowing the relationship between RR and winrate, I have always been struggling to wanting perfection in trading and is still learning to fight with that feeling
I had the same issue, realistically don’t even worry about your R/R if you see a good setup your confident in take it and exit at your levels, you can be profitable even with a 1:1 RR just have to know how to manage ur positions if you see the position isn’t going your way get out at the best possible price and don’t wait to get stopped

[I'm not a beginner trader - just new to this approach, before I would say I followed pure price action, with a few technical indicators, such as MA, MACD, RSI and VWAP). ☘

Hi, Kimmel. One thing you may want to try is to add more contracts to smaller moves. For example, if you're trading the ES, you could put 2 contracts on a 5 handle move and make $500 every 5 handles. Even if you only hit that once per day, that is still 10k per month. Sure, it's not Lamborghini money, but it would be life changing to a lot of people.

Really try following along with 2023. You get to understand how he’s tape reading real time. That’s a benefit especially with the way the markets are moving. We’ll really be beast in smoother market conditions if you adopt his view on price during these choppy times

The more markets I trade, the worse my performance. So I've only been focusing on FX
Have you seen their updating the algo in the summer? It’s going from TP3 to TP2 so basically the market will be a LOT faster and attack areas of interest very differently. But hopefully the same things we learned from ICT will apply

Who is updating the algo and what is tp3?
Even with faster order delivery window shouldn’t matter if it’s coming faster. Price action will still be fractal in nature and we’ll be able to see the moves on the higher time frames since we’re used to seeing fast moves on lower time frames. Just my $.02
@@ryanslater6907 yeah it’s essentially just more orders in the market on a daily basis because they’re sent in faster. But I’m still interested what will change whether it be liquidity pools or timing at which certain moves happen
@@xonike the central bank. TP3 is how fast orders from the people that hold all the money can get them sent in. So 3 days. In the summer they’re supposed to be changing it to tp2 which is 2 days. Which means more Market orders from the big guys so the algo will have to adjust to the influx of orders
i agree with you, i'm aiming 3 to 5% profit per month (consistently) wich for some peoples is low but for me i'm only focusing on growing my trading capital. Pulling 5% profit per month from the market and you will soon be richer than you can imagine. Keep your good work !
