I grafted my CC onto yellow dragon fruit. It grows incredibly fast now. New pads are growing out of the nodes. Geneticly, CC don't grow that way. It took on the dragon fruit's growth rate and pattern. Any new growth that is propogated from this plant continues to grow in the same manner. I absolutely love it and can't wait to see how it blooms.
Im from a tropical area .. 3 months of continual heavy rain after 4 months hot and dry peaking at 45 C.. my CC roots struggle to stay rot free here .. phyllodes struggle to stay hydrated and sunburn free.. will like to try this method.

dragon cactus po ung pinagtusukan or ung kinabitan/grinaftan ng crab cactus
Is it really possible? I've tried a few times, but it doesn't work.
It needs to be grafted at the centre/core of the rootstock, not on fleshy part. ruclips.net/video/Q4BVkHSwOCM/видео.html

I'm so confused, why on earth would you have to go through all that?!
In most humid zones there are chances of root and stem rot.
