With such an action packed face It would have distracted me all 6years of grade school. That’s why I loved Casio all those years growing up.

YES!!! I’m in the US and picked it up in gray. Loving it!
Got the “sand” color variant last week as a watch for fishing/camping. The buttons are not as obtrusive to use as I initially thought. It is very good size in my 7.25 inch wrist. Gives off a military type vibe for sure. Cant wait to put it on a metal case with sapphire crystal. Ultimate budget beater. Need to get one of those f-91 shirts! Thank you for the awesome content.
does this watch have a fishing assist function?
I have a couple of Casio Tide Graphs, useful to me as I live on the coast with really high tides, WS 1300H & GLX S5600 G-Lide. They're both more practical with their larger tide graph and moon phase. I like the look of this new one though.

WS1500 was my summer holiday watch last year. Bought it whilst back in the UK for £23. Absolutely love it

I got myself a ws1100 and ws1300 and have found only the ws1100 is a good fit for my comparatively sized wrist while also having the tide and moon features. Greetings from Australia!
I already have a tide graph with the WS1300... Having said that, I wear that watch to the beach, so I suppose I could wear this one when I'm just by the coast but not physically on the beach... Yeah, thanks Russ, you've convinced me: I definitely *need* this watch.
Im with you there. I already have a WS-1500H on my left arm and I need this one for my right arm.
Tide graph is quite useful if you live near the coast and want to make a quick trip to the beach. If you can do without the Royale clock dial I'd be looking at the £35 ws210 tough solar or pushing the budget to either the gshock g7900 rescue or gw7900.
It looks like the dash board of my 2015 astra very complicated with all the buttons but my being a boy that likes his toys it's definitely up my street
Got a ws1500h last year..similar to this but wo the tide graph and a circular dial.
It's cool! I like how the dials are different colors, but I surely miss the world time feature from the AE-1200. I hope they release a version with better buttons, but overall this would definitely be my daily if I lived near the sea!

Casio made something amazing in this watch. Can't wait for it to come out in the U.S. On another note I'm so happy I put my order in for the Mad Hacker before this hits the shores of the U.S.A. I need a bit of space between purchases to tell myself I'm being disciplined 😂
A few years ago having become a bracelet swapper I took my TX by Timex with fake screws..... and did try to remove the screws..... Did not end well!

Have none of you had a recall for this particular model?? I was asked to return the watch by Casio Europe due to a "software bug". I don't know if there are any other issues, but in my case it was not possible to set pm times in dual time mode. It then also disappeared again from the local Casio websites.
Might get the ws1600 just cos I can't wait until the 1700 lands in the UK 😊

@@lawncrow you could directly contact skxmod to verify all 4 models fit their same case. If so then a 1700 could almost certainly be moved to a 1200 case.

Apparently the WS1700 module can fit in an AE-1200 case - I saw someone tried that mod and it looks pretty cool.

As an owner of a WS-1500H i can say it can take a beating... From door knobs and gate bolts. Im 3 large scratches in. And i gotta say i am legit seething for the WS-1700H I feel I need both of em. I still dont get why the moon phase is smaller i thought going square gives it more space.

I have seen their transparent GShocks recently and I am tempted. The ankle security bracelet has been removed so I have the space.
Me too, but as you can guess, the glorious transparent resin turns yellowish with time... I am tempted from the 40th anniversary transparent square, and it's barely legible

Picked up the black model and LOVE it! BUT! If anyone has seen online, the Dual Time feature will NOT show or change to PM! sent mine in, and waiting to hear back on a fix or replacement!

First thing i noticed on the profile shot are the buttons so close together. I wonder why? They are already difficult to push
I have a w-735M and it's useful, alarm countdown timer( reat for cooking) a loud alarm and a discreet vibration alarm, great illumination and a 10 year battery!! And all the buttons are accessible easily. Who's this one for? But all Casios are great even the budget ones......I still want a calculator watch...BECAUSE? BTTF?

think i'd prefer to spend a bit more and get a G-LIDE square with tough solar, and tide / mooonphase. better dimensions and better specs overall. great budget release though!

I've seen it done if your not keen on the case the module fits in the AE1200 case! A mod I plan to do as soon as can get hold of the ws-1700! 😁👌
Exactly my plan too! I don't care too much for the watch but I always wanted a moon phase display, and that in the 1200 form factor seems ideal!

I prefer the WS-1500H as it is a Budget watch & more importantly it has dual time feature which is unavailable in WS1700-1a
In my watch case it is written made in Thailand. But in strap buckle it is shown casio china. Is that normal?

It's not Sam Fox Strip Poker on the ZX Spectrum but i like it.
I have a WS1400 and a Royale, so I'll pass on that one (feels like a mix of them). But it's not a bad watch at all if the price will be right
📣 NO TO FAUX 📣 ... It's a no to the faux screws from me sadly. Quite frankly, it doesn't need the fake screw look to make it appear beefy and rugged.
I have the ws1700 ordered today for 46€ it comes monday loking out to arive
But this model is still missing a lot of features: MIP display, stepcounter, HR Monitor, Altimeter, Barometer, Thermometer, Multiband 6, Solar, bluetooth.
Did I forget anything? Oh yes! Affordable price. Let´s say, 300 (in whatever currency you desire).
That would be my instant pick.
