I really appreciate an eyeliner pencil that's smooth and creamy and not "hard". Does anyone else remember keeping a lighter in their makeup bag to heat and soften their eyeliner pencil? I've started using a smudge brush to apply my eyeliner. Being 55 years young, and often having trouble seeing to apply my eyeliner, I feel like using this trick just makes my eyeliner look perfect and gives it a softer look. LOVE this trick. I am so thankful that I found your channel. I never knew about color correcting before you. I always tried to "fix" the blue coloring under my eyes with concealer and the only thing I achieved was thick cakey concealer. Now I use color correcting and I don't have to use very much concealer at all. Thank you for teaching me so much.

Thank you so much for this tip. I’m 62 with a very droopy outer eyelid but lots of inner eye lid space and so hooded eye tutorials don’t always work for me. I tried this with a Sephora waterproof eyeliner pencil and smudge brush and got great results! I could bring product up onto the droop without skipping or creasing and it looks so good. Thank you again.
This eyeliner trick is amazing and stress saving. As a mature woman, my eyelids are not as smooth as before and it is always a challenge to have a nice line. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.
I love the look of smudging out a liner. I think it’s much too harsh for me just applying straight to the eye, but this has been my go to when I do use liner for years. It’s so elegant and soft, beautiful as ever and it’s super simple and you don’t have to be precise at all. To even soften it further and to look it in, you can lock it down with a translucent powder.

Wow. My husband has been saying "figure it out" for over 30 years we have been married. I would get so mad at him because I did not understand how or why such a kind, loving husband could say that to me. It wasn't until not too many years ago I realized how much I had grown into such an independent, confident woman and a big part of it was because he encouraged me to use my brain and skills to grow. I am now the proud owner of my own successful company. I am so blown away that your husband said those same exact words to you.
My Dad taught us from when we were very young to "figure it out" and it's just second nature now. It's still nice to have help now and then but it's really the best thing to be able to figure it out!!

Love these tips! I’m a 70 year old and used many of your tips this past weekend while on a mission trip to Mexico. As you might guess, their food is very salty so I tried to eat as much as I could so as not to insult the hosts but still woke up with bags and dark circles. My husband could not tell I had them after I applied my makeup so I call it a success! Thanks for all you do to help us more mature ladies!

“Figure it out!” I have married friends who want their spouse or children, like you said, to give them the answer. I worry about them navigating on their own in an emergency or, God forbid, a death. I find that, for myself, I remember the info better.
Love your new color palettes! They’ve certainly inspired me to try new options. BUT, about today’s video: I do something similar about eyeliner, but with a very small natural bristle paint brush and using an eyeliner color a shade or two darker than my main lid color. I think I was told this trick at a makeup party at someone’s home 30 or more years ago. Never seen it in any tutorials either.
Finally, thank you for your videos. I’ve learned a lot and my finished result is so more satisfactory than in the previous decades of wearing makeup.

For about 4 yrs now I've been using a similar technique with shadow. I dampen the brush tap it in shadow and smudge it into the lash line. Just like this technique on the video, it leaves a nice soft appearance. As we age (69 here) when it comes to makeup, less is more except for those special occasions

Thank you, Nikol! This is a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ tip…ran to the mirror to try this out. It’s the first under eye liner technique that has worked for me. It is not harsh like pencil liners and the brush is great for control. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great eyeliner tip, Nikol! I’ve avoided eyeliner simply because I can’t draw a neat line along the lid. This technique might give me more control.

Nikol, I love your channel ❤️. I also have two small hyperpigmentation spots in the exact areas you have. After my makeup is on, and if by chance, I can see one or both of my spots. I use your EYE PRIMER. I tap the spot, and it blends in with the makeup and blush flawlessly. Your products are amazing🎉

Hi Nikol. When you held up your eyeshadow quad I was amazed at the colors as I find it very difficult to see the eyeshadow colors clearly on your website. Maybe consider doing a video where you display the eyeshadows together while in your bathroom as the light that you were working with in this video was great.

I love your soft sweater it's very attractive. I use a lighted magnifying makeup mirror for years.. started in my 30s, and now I am 73 years old. At first, it was shocking to see myself in the mirror. But I found that if I would get my makeup to look great under maginification, it would look great to the rest of the world. Now, my vision is lower due to an "eye stroke" just happened, and I received treatment for the stroke, so I am not blind but don't see as well as I used to. I was a professional dancer and wanted my stage makeup to look great. It is how I started using the makeup mirror, and now it's just helpful to make sure everything is looking great. I watch your tutorials and re-watch them because I gleen so much information. I knew about how green kills red. But I have not found the peachy for under my eyes. I have very fair skin, and when I am hot or exert myself, I turn scarlet. I do have Rosacea and have a dermatologist for treatment. Which helps but not cure the problem.
Using a lighted magnifying makeup 💄 mirror is bulky but well worth the effort. ❤

I recently ordered your lip balm and pencil sharpener, I already had your amazing eye liner. Your products are really amazing. I am retired so I have to space out my purchases! You mentioned your discoloration and it looks like you got a slight sun exposure above and below your glasses. It is a very distinct line, but you do an amazing job with addressing it!!

Yes Niki absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately for me we don’t get your brand here in Trinidad (Caribbean) at I have looked & not seen it. We have the drug store brands Revlon, Maybelline, L’Oréal & Mac. Maybe some other brands. Anyway I do like trying your new techniques , improvising here & there . Thanks for sharing these tips with us! I was surprised at this makeup application, to me it looked very heavy especially between the eyebrows. That is very unusual... most of the time, your applications end up looking soft and almost "not there." I hope you and your family enjoy a peace-filled New Year!
I agree. I don’t wear foundation often because it ends up looking too heavy on my skin. This video reminded me of “too heavy” foundation. Still beautiful but more than I want.
