The kimono was a fabulous pink-white-and turquoise print, that extended to her knees. She carried a large shopping tote made of a hand-woven Guatemalan textile in vivid shades of pink, white, and black. She wore an extravagant amount of silver jewelry to highlight her snow-white hair in her signature angled pixie cut. To go shopping. Her philosophy was, "No one will treat you well unless you treat yourself well, first." Bravo, Mom!

Nikol, I just want to thank you for all you do. Three years ago I was diagnosed with a bone marrow cancer. I always loved doing my makeup, I had been a flight attendant so appearance was important. After the diagnosis, I decided that I wouldn’t buy any new makeup, I’d just use what I had. It didn’t much matter how I looked. But then I found our channel and started trying your makeup and watching your videos and started feeling better about my looks. I will be 77 next month and still work full time. I have your 9 piece set of brushes, and just love them. I have shadows, Just Peachy and the eye primer. I have three colors of the waterproof eye liner. This is the first eye liner that has not smeared or come off because of my sometimes watery eyes. I just got the gua sha and heated curler, love them both. And, I joined the Beauty Reinvented group in December, and January was the last time I had my hair colored since 1995. I am very excited watching how the new color is coming in. So thanks to you Nikol, and the ladies on Beauty Reinvented, am feeling better about myself and my life, I am not giving up. And I want to look as good as I can!

But since I've had a really bad case of Covid, my hair has fallen out and my strength has not come back completely. I feel like my face has melted and I feel so ugly any more. My hair is coming back in so slowly and it is salt and pepper because I can't put color on it yet .( I was a blonde and always have been). Well, because I've not seen my real hair fully until now. It may not seem like it but your strength will come back. And hair - I'm proof (I took biotin). What helped me after awhile to help it (strength/endurance) along is a few yoga positions every morning (down dog - cat /cow - warrior pose... ) and bicep and squats with only 3# weights. Every other day. I mean MINIMUM devotion and stress. But your body will react so quickly regardless, and you'll feel stronger very soon even with just that little.

Decided to treat myself during your sale. Got Off the Grid shadow palette and your new brush set. I have so many mismatched brushes, most unsuitable for travel because they are too long to fit into a makeup bag. I had bought the Choices palette in a previous sale and was impressed not only with the quality of the highly pigmented shadows but the 'solid' packaging that makes an expensive 'snap' sound when you close the lid. I may be clumsier than most but always seem to drop a cheap palette, breaking one or both hinges, making it unusable unless I wrap a rubber band around it. You definitely give value for money!

I know, right? Sometimes I put my makeup on and I look at myself in the mirror and just feel so discouraged. I’m 64, widowed two years ago very suddenly and it has drained me emotionally, physically and spiritually. I’ve never felt so old as I have since he left me. I look tired, especially around the eyes and I’m sure the ocean of tears I have shed the last two years hasn’t helped. I lost nearly 30 pounds in the two and a half months after his passing and I feel like it has made my face and neck skin seem droopier too but I could be wrong. Maybe that’s what I see. I am so happy I discovered these videos because it’s helped me think about buying actual makeup and brushes because I’ve never really owned any.

Chronic illness is the best teacher. When you’ve been diagnosed and you know there is no cure, you go through all the stages of death. You have lost who you were and are now someone different with a warrior attitude. I have gained weight, lost weight, repeat. When the day comes when you look at yourself squarely in the mirror, say “I love you so much” and profoundly feel it, you’ve won. I am loving your eyeshadows you’re applying. My eyelids are completely hidden now and very mobile, so I put a touch of pressure around the orbital bone area to apply my eyeshadow. I SO rarely go anywhere there’s no reason to wear make up. My hands shake so applying make up is always a guessing game, lol! How will this turn out today? I might begin practicing putting on 3/4 eyelashes, that sounds like another interesting project! Nikol, I love how inspiring you are to women of all ages. You mentioned how some viewers criticized your use of your products in your videos. Yes, you do use your products but you also use SO many other products from other beauty companies, which I greatly appreciate. You truly give us a full range of products outside of your brand that you test and pay for out of pocket. For those of you who haven't used any of Nikol's Fresh Beauty products, I recently received my first order and couldn't be happier. The heated eyelash curler is wonderful. Yes, it takes a few times to get the hang of it, but it's worth the effort. I also ordered the Gua Sha and am trying to decide which face oil or serum to use. The mascara is one of the best I have used. My lashes don't clump and the product placement is great. I also ordered two eye shadows: "Fresh Beauty" and "Bottled Blond." After staying away from shadows with a "sheen", I'm glad I have these two palettes. I'm getting used to how the colors work for my color and shape. I've also rewatched some of Nikol's videos to understand her technique. As 61 year old woman who loves fashion and beauty, I keep returning to Nikol's channel for inspiration. Thank you, Nikol.

Refrigerate your primer, sunscreen,liquid foundation, moisturizers and especially, your setting spray. Keep a small, handheld-size electric fan handy in the room where you apply your makeup, and hold it in front of your face after each step of your routine. These tips seem simple, but they work!
Why do people who take advantage of your free tutorials and advice, knowing your a professional esthetician and makeup artist, take issue with you for introducing your products? It's ridiculous, no one is expected to make a purchase if they don't care to, and you get good info to boot! I for one appreciation knowing of a new beauty brand I might like to try something from, as well as the fact you freely share your expertise. Nikol, you worked hard to create your brand, and deserve to promote it on your platform, if people don't like it that's their loss.

It depends if my brushes are really dirty from using multiple times I will give them a wash. I don’t like over washing. A great tip is to spray a brush cleaner on them after use and only do a deep clean once a month.

Suggestions on mascara and eyeshadow that doesn’t burn the eyes? I’ve tried so many different brands including hypoallergenic and gave up. I’m 76 years old and didn’t have this problem until I was in my 60’s. Any suggestions appreciated. Sometimes, even foundation makeup causes my eyes to burn .

Nikol, I really love your videos and your attitude on aging. I'm 73 and my mantra for almost everything in life is "I'm not done yet!"
Chronic illness is the best teacher. When you’ve been diagnosed and you know there is no cure, you go through all the stages of death. You have lost who you were and are now someone different with a warrior attitude. I have gained weight, lost weight, repeat. When the day comes when you look at yourself squarely in the mirror, say “I love you so much” and profoundly feel it, you’ve won. I am loving your eyeshadows you’re applying. My eyelids are completely hidden now and very mobile, so I put a touch of pressure around the orbital bone area to apply my eyeshadow. I SO rarely go anywhere there’s no reason to wear make up. My hands shake so applying make up is always a guessing game, lol! How will this turn out today? I might begin practicing putting on 3/4 eyelashes, that sounds like another interesting project! Nikol I love your videos! I’ve never purchased your make up, however the eyeshadow compact and concealer would be beneficial. Nikol, I love how inspiring you are to women of all ages. You mentioned how some viewers criticized your use of your products in your videos. Yes, you do use your products but you also use SO many other products from other beauty companies, which I greatly appreciate. You truly give us a full range of products outside of your brand that you test and pay for out of pocket. For those of you who haven't used any of Nikol's Fresh Beauty products, I recently received my first order and couldn't be happier. The heated eyelash curler is wonderful. Yes, it takes a few times to get the hang of it, but it's worth the effort. I also ordered the Gua Sha and am trying to decide which face oil or serum to use. The mascara is one of the best I have used. My lashes don't clump and the product placement is great. I also ordered two eye shadows: "Fresh Beauty" and "Bottled Blond." After staying away from shadows with a "sheen", I'm glad I have these two palettes. I'm getting used to how the colors work for my color and shape. I've also rewatched some of Nikol's videos to understand her technique. As 61 year old woman who loves fashion and beauty, I keep returning to Nikol's channel for inspiration. Thank you, Nikol.

I love your insight on fierce aging. Do you have any videos for perimenopausal issues? I live in south AL and sweat so much in summer as it is that I can never wear make up. Refrigerate your primer, sunscreen,liquid foundation, moisturizers and especially, your setting spray. Keep a small, handheld-size electric fan handy in the room where you apply your makeup, and hold it in front of your face after each step of your routine. These tips seem simple, but they work!

Why do people who take advantage of your free tutorials and advice, knowing your a professional esthetician and makeup artist, take issue with you for introducing your products? It's ridiculous, no one is expected to make a purchase if they don't care to, and you get good info to boot! I for one appreciation knowing of a new beauty brand I might like to try something from, as well as the fact you freely share your expertise. Nikol, you worked hard to create your brand, and deserve to promote it on your platform, if people don't like it that's their loss.
What??? !!! Yes, you do promote your products at times, one of the many things that you do is that you use other products. For example, you use eye shadows from different brands and you recommend the ones that you like. Therefore, you are not like others who only talk about their products. It just seems to be my luck that when you have sales is the time that I am strapped for money!! Lol. Out on disability this month and you are launching a sale. It depends if my brushes are really dirty from using multiple times I will give them a wash. I don’t like over washing. A great tip is to spray a brush cleaner on them after use and only do a deep clean once a month.

Suggestions on mascara and eyeshadow that doesn’t burn the eyes? I’ve tried so many different brands including hypoallergenic and gave up. I’m 76 years old and didn’t have this problem until I was in my 60’s. Any suggestions appreciated.
