I was told that Seminaries don't teach about the Feasts. I'm not sure that is true, but I know that I have been in church all my life and never learned much about Jewish Traditions until very recently. 🤷
I learned this in church 35 years ago. God lead me to a great church. Many things my pastor and associate pastor taught way back then are just now being taught. But there were several teachers on Christian television back then that also taught these types of things. What denomination did you go to?
So many Christians today aren’t aware of our religion being directly connected to the rituals of Judaism. I’m so glad my parents taught me how special & chosen the Jewish people are in the sight of God & the world.
“And you shall eat it thus: [as fully prepared for a journey] your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste. It is the Lord's Passover.” Exodus 12:11 AMPC
Are there any printable resources to go with this? I am wanting to use this series in a small group but I would need some material to go along with it. Thank you.
You must use the Bible as foundation for all things commanded. The King James Version Bible is plenty accurate. The Bullinger version of the KJV is better.
@senatorjosephmccarthy2720 I realize I'm to use the scripture, but having scholarly instruction for context and understanding is not wrong. I'm also not one who believes the KJV is the only acceptable one. What do you tell people who do not speak English and needs a translation where certain words cannot be translated exactly as the KJV defines it. Sorry.
In the Catholic Church, passover or easter as its known here in the US has roots in Jewish tradition. The Jews sacrificied a lamb and used the blood to mark their doors, so that God would pass over their homes and not harm the inhabitants of that house. Now, we have Christ, the lamb of God that sacrificed himself for the forgiveness of sins and the redemption of all. He is the new lamb, and the living bread sent from heaven. John 6:51 Jesus said "I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man EAT of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my FLESH, which I will give for the life of the world."... "For MY FLESH IS FOOD indeed, and MY BLOOD IS DRINK indeed." In Mathew 26:17 Jesus celebrates Passover with the disciples " While they were eating, Jesus took BREAD, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; THIS IS MY BODY.” During mass, a Priest with consecrated hands will raise the host which is unleavened bread, repeat the words of consecration (Mathew 26:17) and the Holy Spirit transforms the unleavened bread to the body, blood, soul and divinity of Christ which was given up for us on the cross. This is passover in today's society which is rooted in Jewish traditions from more than 3,000 years ago. It was not a stolen concept or idea from the pagan god Ester. Not only that but only in the US and some other country is Passover is called "Easter", everywhere else its called Passover. A trick of the devil, he knows the US is a highly influential country and since no one reads the Bible and believes whatever is on the internet without doing research, will it flies like flies. Same with Christmas.
Now what these men say in this video is very profound, and it is very meaningful for me. However, as a Roman Catholic (Tridentine not Novus Ordo) I disagree that the unleavened bread becomes a "symbol" of Christ. But maybe they just didn't want to come off as a branch of Catholicism. Otherwise, I found this video quite uplifting spiritually.
Thank you for commenting on the video. We appreciate your perspective-taking response and are glad that, though you disagree with the unleavened bread being a symbol of Christ, you still found the overall video meaningful and uplifting.
The blood of the Lamb over the doorpost... Yeshua said that He is the Door, and he shed his blood. This is the Jewish year 5784 which means the Door--> could this possibly be the year that the Lord comes for his people ?
Jewish teaching appeals to many but can distract with interesting, non-essentials that interfere with individual salvation. Every soul no doubt expected by our King will be reached but followers nevertheless must actively live by listening, obeying and receiving Holy Spirit empowerment. In this manner He will know them. Everything else however interesting is dangerous folly. Please re-read Revelation 2-3. ❤
Nonsense , to say that the industrial cracker with holes to cook faster which was developed in the united states is a reference to the death of Messiah. Terrible analogy!!
The NAME of the CREATOR of the Universe is YAHU'AH the Messiah's MASCHACH'S NAME is YAHUSHA Hebrew bears the NAME of the Father YAHU'AH. Hebrew not english nor greek nor arabic, nor lord god jesus christ jehovah yahweh yeshua yahawah yahawashi. They're pagan names and titles. The Hebrew alphabet doesn't have letters e, f, i,.j,. O, v, w ..
This is wonderful. I am 73 years old. I have been in church all my life. Why is this never been explained to me from the pulpit before?
We are so thankful that this video was meaningful to you.

It's true. It's not a "Jewish" feast. It is THE Lord's feasts! Let's follow the Torah!

What Scriptures tell of Yeshua saying anything about a 4th cup of wine?
I Timothy 3: 2.
Titus 2: 12.
I Peter 4: 7.

You should.
And if you used sarcasm, it is well placed.
