Well before we had television, we had books. I read all her books almost as soon as I could read. The book mobile came to our rural community every two weeks. It was a big deal. I just downloaded the pattern. I’m in my eighties and I’m working on using up as much of my outrageously large stash as I can! What other old ladies out there are doing the same thing?
Loved your post. 😊 I’m turning 70 this next year and it occurred to me recently that I probably have enough fabric in my stash to last me the rest of my life 😂. It didn’t stop me from buying just a little more fabric that I fell in love with but I’m determined to make a serious dent in what I have.
Thamk you so much for sharing this! I grew up with watching Little House on the Prairie and reading all of the books. I definitely think I'll be ordering this kit.
Wow!!! I love this line of beautiful fabric! I did watch the Little House on the Prairie along with my family as I was a little girl. Loved that show!! 😊
I loved the Little House on The Prarie show! She’s been in our homes a long time. I’m glad to see she will be in our homes again. I love the fabrics and the pattern I like anything that travels not only do I like the table runner but that would make an awesome quilt. Best of luck to Melissa looking forward to finding more of her fabrics.
I always enjoy your tutorials. I love the Modern Prairie website and have participated in several events they offered. I hope they'll come out with another fabric collection with more modern shades/combos...as I am not crazy about this particular fabric design.
Beautiful fabric line!❤ You always give such clear instructions and make things look ‘’sew very easy’ 😊♥️ Love that about your channel. Sew thank you. I downloaded the pattern and I’m going to keep your video close to make the tablerunner😊♥️
I follow Melissa’s Modern Prairie! I love this pattern and have fall fabrics that would make such a beautiful runner ! (I have way too much fabric that I have to use first before buying more but would love to see if she has more kits down the road!!) I Would love to see what design you used to quilt it and the finished product!!
Very nice. Don’t know if you noticed before you quilted it, but one of your 4 patch is turned the wrong direction in the outer border. Love your videos! 😊
The fabrics, your instruction, and the blocks you created are great. But the pattern itself seems off to me. The black squares in the 4 (total), middle 4-patches on the border(s) don't line up with the 4-patches in the blocks. Someone else mentioned that you had it turned the wrong way, but.. no.. Just a poor pattern design.
Lol Do you realize you called her "Laura"" when you said she had been a prairie girl all her life and now she has come out with a line of fabric? That shows how ingrained her character has becone with herself in our minds and memories. Her fabrics are beautiful!
Hate to say it but those are terrible colors. I realize it's supposed to have a vintage look. However, my great-grandmother's quilts made on the farm in Northern Ireland, in the early 1900s look like gorgeous silk fabrics. Pale blue linen look fabric that shimmered like the ocean on a sunny day, with white sashing. It looks like it was ready to go out to a ball. No dark dread colors.
@trishalivingston9171 I don't hate to say this but that was just bloody rude and a pity you were not taught manners from your elders. There is a saying that many were taught and that is "If you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all". Just because you don't like it the colors does not make it terrible it just makes different and not everyone has the same taste. I will not disrespect your ancestor but from my personal taste I would not like anything that is silky or satin for a quilt. It is all personal choice and one is no better than another. A quilt made with love, no matter the material or color, is special and would be cherished by those the recieve it. (Laura (Sew Very Easy) if you wish to delete my comment I do understand but I simply have no tolerances for uncalled disrespect.)
Beautiful fabric & pattern. I love them.

Oh my .... Melissa is a busy woman. And this pattern is lovely. It seems to go together quite quickly. Thankyou Laura. Hugs, Chel 🌸

I always enjoy how you take something that looks tough to make, but after explaining, tips and showing the steps, it now looks doable.
Thank you for the great video! I think I will get the fabrics since I grew up with little house on the prairie!
Laura Ingalls were my bedtime stories years before the TV series came out! It's nice to see Melissa Gilbert is keeping busy 😊
Wow!!! I love this line of beautiful fabric! I did watch the Little House on the Prairie along with my family as I was a little girl. Loved that show!! 😊

Great video! Thank you!
Thank you for a great tutorial! The blocks looked very complicated but your explanations make it look like something I could tackle!❤
I think this is a gorgeous table runner! Your instructions are always so relaxed, but clear! Thank you, Laura!

@@SewVeryEasy I didn’t notice but it is a beautiful table runner!
Maureen McCormick also has a fabric line.
Love your channel. Do you have a pattern for the quilt on your back wall? Love that quilt.

I like the pattern and fabric, but this tutorial in putting it all together is very confusing.
