Yes, looking at JESUS, the only sinless one, is our wisest course of action. We are all sinners, but “by beholding,
/Him/ we become changed.” Great reminder, Pastor Doug.

Love you pastor, your dedication to truth in scripture is what made me see the light and become a seventh day Adventist, I tried looking for any thing wrong about the doctrine taught but the more I dug the more truth I found

    Fully Agree🙏
But unfortunately many cannot do not comparing themselves, that brings jealousy, and envy to them….
Or they dare to think there are better than others as they do some good deeds or measurable service / ministry.
Provers 4:23 says that guard your hearts as life springs out of it.

Well stop telling people the sabbath is nessary for being saved thats a lie were new covenant in Jesus christ we do do ceremonial law only moral laws Jesus worked on sabbath ,he is lord of the sabbath he is are sabbath rest

    • @matthewkierstead5993
      @matthewkierstead5993 Год назад +8

Hey friend! The ceremonial law, instituted because of sin, was done away with at the cross. The 10 Commandments were in place before sin and are eternal. The sabbath was given to Adam and Eve before sin, and they would have continued to keep it even if they hadn't fallen and sinned.
      Matthew 12:12-13 KJV
"[12] How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days. [13] Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other."
Jesus broke the Jewish leaders' laws for the sabbath, but He never broke God's law for the sabbath. Notice how Jesus said that it was "lawful" to do well on the sabbath days. If something is lawful, then there must be a law, and the action of doing that lawful act doesn't break that law. In saying this, Jesus acknowledged that the Sabbath commandment was still in effect and that doing good, healing etc, wasn't breaking God's rules for the sabbath. Jesus didn't break the sabbath, because if He did He couldn't have been without sin which we know He was.
      Matthew 12:5 KJV
"Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?"
Jesus said that the priest's "profaned" the sabbath by doing their work on that day, but they were "blameless" because it was work for God that God had asked them to do. Again, Jesus never broke God's rules for the sabbath, and doing work for God on the sabbath (for instance, pastors preaching and ministering on the sabbath) doesn't break the 4th Commandment.
      Luke 23:52-56 KJV
"This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. [53] And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid. [54] And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on. [55] And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid. [56] And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment."
Even after Jesus died on the cross, His followers kept the sabbath holy "according to the commandment" which was still in place.
      Matthew 24:15-16,20 KJV
"When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand): [16] Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: [20] But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:"
In speaking of when the Romans would destroy Jerusalem, almost 40 years after Jesus's death, resurrection, and ascension, Jesus told His followers, Christians, to pray that they wouldn't have to flee on the sabbath day. Clearly, Jesus considered the 4th Commandment to still be in effect for Christians long after He would return to heaven.
      Isaiah 66:22-23 KJV
"For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain. [23] And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD."
God says that even after Jesus's 2nd coming, and this earth is destroyed and replaced with the new earth, that "all flesh" ,Jews, Gentiles, Christians, will continue to keep the sabbath holy.
Keeping the sabbath holy doesn't save anyone, just like not stealing or not commiting adultery doesn't save you either. We are saved only by the blood of Jesus. But "sin is the transgression of the law" 1 John 3:4. Breaking the 4th Commandment by not keeping God's 7th day sabbath holy, is sin. And those who choose to persist unrepentant in sin will be lost, because they are not fully surrendered to Jesus. I urge you to prayerfully consider this my friend. God bless!

@@matthewkierstead5993 no we do not have to keep the sabbath by celebrating even the ones that say they do sabbath don't even celebrate it correctly the sabbath isn't for gentiles anyway it was for the Jewish people only read your Bible better

    • @matthewkierstead5993
      @matthewkierstead5993 Год назад

@jholyroller6048 Read my Bible better? I wonder if you even read my entire comment? I have provided you with many scriptures that show that the Sabbath is still required to be kept and even by Christians. You have failed to provide even one scripture, but have merely presented your opinion.
The sabbath is for Gentiles as well. The sabbath wasn't only meant to be kept by the Jews. It was meant to be kept by anyone who wanted to follow the true God.
      Isaiah 56:3-4,6-7 KJV
Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree. [4] For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant; [6] Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; [7] Even them will I bring to my holy mountain...
The original words translated as "eunuch" and "stranger" both refer to foreigners or Gentiles. God said that any non-Jew that wanted to follow Him needed to keep the 7th day Sabbath holy. And those that did He would take to His holy mountain, Zion, or heaven. That was in the Old Testament. Now let's look at the New Testament.
      Acts 17:2 KJV
And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
      Acts 18:4 KJV
And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.
      Acts 13:42-44 KJV
And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath. [43] Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. [44] And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.
The New Testament says that it was Paul's "manner" or custom to go to the synagogue on the sabbath day. It says that Paul persuaded both Jews and Greeks (Gentiles) in the synagogue about Jesus. So even Greeks, Gentiles, were worshipping in the synagogue, church, on the sabbath day. And in the last passage I quoted, it says that Paul and Barnabas were preaching to Jews one sabbath day and that afterwards the "Gentiles" (it specifically says Gentiles) the "Gentiles" asked them to come back and preach to them as well on "the next sabbath." Notice that Paul does NOT say, "Why wait? Tomorrow, Sunday, is the new Christian sabbath." No, the Bible says that they skipped Sunday and came back on the next sabbath to preach to the Gentiles. Paul, Barnabas, and Jesus our Example, all kept the 7th day holy. All the early Christians did.
From the first page of the Bible to the last, only the 7th day is called God's sabbath and even Christians are supposed to keep it holy. Don't worry about whether other people celebrate the sabbath correctly. That is between them and God. God will hold them accountable. And God will hold you personally accountable for how you treat His holy 7th day sabbath as well. Please pray about this. It is very important.

And yet, absolutely EVERYTHING Jesus said to watch for has happened. Increase in knowledge (after computers? A lot!), Bad and good dealing places, everything accelerating (Jesus compared it to birth pains getting closer and closer), false teachers (you don't see any other religion getting all different sects to deceive people), Israel being destroyed and it's people scattered to the 4 corners of the earth 2000 years ago and then bring reborn in a single day with the same Jewish people), persecution and mocking (people like you all the time+ over 900,000 Christians killed for their faith last year alone), reprobate minds (where they cannot see why something is wrong to others-dude dressed as a woman, dancing under a sign"it's not gonna lick itself", for kids no less!), One world religions (opened in Abu Dhabi last year), notice no one has a problem if someone says muhammad but if you say Jesus Christ, they want your head?, One world govt (talk if it all the time now). Man there's a lot more too. All told by Jesus as "the beginning of sorrows". Call all stuff coincidence?
