I love these videos. I'm happy to see a new one showcasing the Urban Explore. Looking forward to February : )
Thanks, Ian! Congratulations on the new line. I’ve missed these episodes!
Congratulations on the new line!
Shimoda makes the best camera bags period. I had my action X 40 on from 4am to 9:30pm. It was ridiculously comfortable all day.
Thanks for making the best bags on the planet.
Thanks, I had a similar experience with my bag on this a day. Lots of time on my back, a nasty climb to the bridge and at one point later in the outing, noticed how "unnoticed" the pack had been :)
What a fun intro sequence, and I can appreciate it was probably fairly painful to make with all the setting up tripods, cycling back etc all in the dark
All for the love of the game :) I'd like to balance out the video efforts with image effort. We'll see how that works out :)
Thank you once again for these wonderful videos, Ian! Not only do you get up well before dawn I am also struck by how many times you must need to stop to set up a video camera for B-roll and then return to get that camera! This video confirms my decision to get the 25L. Also a couple good ideas on how to utilize the bags on my bike. And what awesome Autumn colors you had. Gorgeous!
Admittingly the B-roll can be a bit of an effort :) need to wake up extra early. But it's nice being out in the early hours in these places. Any other time there is rather meaningless, but at the unusual times of day... The feeling is different. Wish I could ride more through the night... But it would disrupt my life pattern a bit too much.
I aspire to create content like you do, Ian! Gonna start my journey with the Urban Explore 20L, shall take camp till the day you guys start opening shipping to the sunny island of Singapore. Cheers
Hi, you can ship to Singapore via T-Mall: shimoda.tmall.com or JD: mall.jd.hk/index-1000209562.html - if you need support in English email ian@shimodadesignscom and I'll forward you to English support. Both links are run by our distributor in China.
@@ShimodaDesignsthanks for those official links, here in SG too
@@ShimodaDesigns The Top Loader seems to be unavailable on your T-Mall store 🥲
A closed road? Cuz, wowzer, no cars on a ride like!! As always, these vids are so enjoyable.
Open roads, I don't think any were closed in this video. It's more the time of day. This road will get busy as the day goes, it leads to more views, a massive dam and many hot springs. Thank you.
Such a seemingly insignificant subject, but asbolutely gorgeous shots, the top down drone shot is Chef's Kiss👌
Thanks, the time of day, season and sun rise defiantly helped it come alive. But yes, fun making something out seemingly nothing. Literally people pass by without a second glance.
Nice! Really love all the shots you took utilizing all the cameras you brought with you. Also, Such a beautiful bike ride!
Thanks, nice part of the world over here :)
Wow beautiful footages.. I ordered a 20L in Boa and 25L in Anthracite. I cannot WAIT to get my hands on them!!
Thank you!
Hey Ian! Thank you for these videos! As much as I love the 20l, I think the 25l will be a better all around bag for me. Also, which bike lights are you using for front and rear? I just got into cycling and really like the flashing rear light.
Hi, The front light is Olight RN1500, the rear is Olight RN120C. I only use these lights for "missions" like this and usually ride a different road bike for daily rides (I do use the front as a flashlight at times too). On that bike I use a Garmin Varia Radar rear light with no front light. I highly recommend Varia if you're new to biking. It's tells you when cars are behind you and how close they are via your bike computer or phone. It also changes the frequency of the flashing to alert drivers and get there attention. Very handy and clever device.
@@ShimodaDesigns Awesome, thank you so much!
Hmmmmm At minute 5:30 it seems to me that you said... "Urban Explore 45 liter...." Really? Is that going to be a future bag?
Hi… 25 - not 45 :)
@@ShimodaDesigns Wow, that was fast..... Thanks! Turning the volume up I now hear the "25"... Ooops!
I own 3 Shimoda 30L bags .... and love them....including an Urban Explore 30. I have a couple of other brand's 35 Liter bags and I notice the extra 5 liters when I pack a bit more for certain photo trips. Thanks for such great products! Greg in Kawanishi, Hyogo
WANT TO BUY A Urban Explore 25 - Boa!But it's already sold out on kickstarter T.T How can I get one now?let me know PLEASE!!!
I like 20L ! But have one question, "Top Loader" can put in to 20L? like Action X 25L. Thank you
yes it can - its a perfect fit.
If only there was a 21L or 22L version that can fit a 16inch macbook pro this would be an INSTANTLY buy for me. Please make it happen : D
Sizes do not match… if it did there would be one. Personally I think you should ask Apple to make their 16.inch smaller. ;)
