- In this video we show you how to upholster a custom bench seat cushion to fit any space in your home! We show you how to make a template of the space you want to make the bench seat cushion for and then what foam to use, how to make a template for the fabric and then how to sew the fabric...if that's what's required! Upholstery beginners can skip the sewing if your custom bench seat cushion doesn't have a large curve like this one.

Legit question: what would happen if you didn't use the glue on all the layers of foam and stuff?
I am about to redo our dining chairs. I reupholstered them about 7 years ago but only replaced the fabric. This time I am replacing all the foam and everything because they feel like I'm sitting on concrete now lol. I want to do a good job and understand why I'm doing what I'm doing.
I'm also going to use leather as I have little kids and they have ruined the material on the chairs they are covered in stains and I want something I can wipe clean.
Thanks any advice is greatly appreciated.
First I would go for a stain resistant fabric. Look at Sunbury fabrics are bomb proof. Definitely glue the foam as it can move if not fixed down properly. 📎🙌⛏️🧵🪡📐

Do I need a industrial machine to upholster my lounge? Where do I buy supplies??
Hard to say. I'd say if you are sewing cushions then yes you will need an industrial machine. I get all my supplier from my local upholstery suppliers. Though ebay and amazon would probably have some too. 🙏😊✂️⛏️🧵📐

Hi is there a particular make of spray glue you can recommend please? also, would you be able to do a video on how to make a bench seat using webbing under cushion instead of wood? apologies if you've already covered this in another video, I'm steadily working my way through them all!

Hi Neil , what’s the best indoor outdoor thread to use on cushions?
I normally use a 36 or 40 thread. Not sure whats stronger. Coats is one of the best brands for thread! 🪡🧵🙌
