    The 2023 camping season continues, in a NEW RV!
    The hottest new RV Floorplan! The Salem 29View from Forest River! We’re real owners, not sponsored or paid for, and we bought this RV because it will hopefully fit our needs better than any other! Join us on our first camping trip with it where we’ll be providing real world experiences with it!
    It’s a short drive over to Black Moshanon State Park. We’ve been wanting to check this beautiful Pennsylvania State Park out for quite some time, and they just so happened to have a site available for this weekend. Setting up this camper for the first time, in the dark, was no fun. Fall camping can be a bit of a challenge with the time change, but totally worth it if the weather cooperates.
    While there, we make a day trip north to Pennsylvania’s Elk Scenic Byway, to hike on the Chuck Keiper trail. This trail follows Yost Run down to twin waterfalls, Yost Run Falls and Kyler Fork Falls. We love uncovering these remote Pennsylvania waterfalls here in the quiet wilderness.
    After the hike, we drive over Fields Ridge to check out one of our favorite scenic overlooks. We chase a flock of turkeys down the old dirt road on our way to take this one in.
    We appreciate you watching and hope to see ya’ll down the trail!
    Next Week; We’re looking for a “majestic overlook!”
    Our journey continues every Thursday at 5:00!
    Subscribe for Adventure!
    Friends, welcome to our RV Camping and Adventure channel. Ryan and Rachel here, we are weekend warriors with a mission to highlight RVing in the eastern United States. We are joined by our daughter Sarah, son William, and our two dogs (Trigger and Lilly). Home is in Pennsylvania, and while PA is our favorite State to explore, we’ve found there’s much more to explore! We’ve traded in our Wildwood, and we’ll be camping from now on in our 2024 Salem 29View! We’re pulling it with our 2021 RAM 2500 BigHorn. We hope you will subscribe, join us on some of our adventures and be inspired to go on your own adventures.

    "Unprepared, but prepared as we need to be" that is a perfect quote for adventuring...Entertaining, engaging, and heart warming, just a spectacular video. It's hard for me to stick in for near 30 minutes, but as I have said before, you really have a special knack for telling a story that keeps me invested and on the edge of my seat. You guys do an amazing job of highlighting the underappreciated beauty of scenic Pennsylvania. And the view at the end, that's a priceless experience, great upload!

      I was a little concerned about the length of this one, but the story just kinda came together! Luckily the best parts are at the end!
      I’m so glad to bring my content back to Scenic Pennsylvania after such a long hiatus! A few more episodes to come from here!

    I wasn’t prepared for how beautiful the Chuck Keiper trail and its waterfalls would be and you both did an excellent job featuring it in a video that was jam packed with great family moments, one beaut of a camper, and a few challenges this family always perseveres through and overcomes. I am constantly inspired by you both as a parent and outdoorsman and it’s videos and advice like these that make me feel like I can do it too as I introduce my new son to the great outdoors, keep him engaged, and juggle creating content as well!

      This are was shockingly beautiful, definitely worth checking out. We think it’s great to get the kids out in the woods, and they crave it just as much as we do. We’ll be back out camping here soon and very excited to do so!
      Thanks for watching!

    Nice video! When I was a lad in the 70s, we had a camp near there. Back then, it was common to see 20-30 deer at a time. Thanks for bringing back some memories.

      We used to have a plethora of deer around here, now it seems they’re moving into more developed areas where they can’t be hunted. I appreciate you watching, and I’m glad you enjoyed the video!

    Looks like a beautiful area to visit. Your new camper is so nice. I love how it has that countertop seating. Looks like one of many nice features it has.

      We really like the countertop seats, I always thought having a dinette was a waste of space, this works much better! It definitely helps that Pennsylvania has so many beautiful places for us to take it!

      Definitely hard to go anywhere without forgetting things. The camper definitely makes it easier to remember things, since most things just stay in it.
      I appreciate the encouragement! Thanks for watching!

    Finally got to watch. Black Moshannon is an interesting campground. But, such a beautiful area. I got to get back up to Sproul SF before 🟣🦎 gets their map out and the area becomes famous...😊
    Great video. Cool to see your son leading the way already!
    One thing for sure, vistas are a great place to just feel right in the world.
    I am laying here staring at my backpack thinking about being camoed by those waterfalls.
    Thanks for taking us along. Cool stuff!

      Once people realize how awesome Sproul is, I’m sure it’ll become more trafficked. I’ve always really enjoyed this area!
      The boy did really well on this hike, really excited to get him out in the woods more!
      Could you imagine camping by those falls? Probably the most peaceful experience one could have!

    Super sweet camper! You guys will make many memories in it for sure! I've done the CKT before and I would definitely not attempt it in summer as the stinging nettles are ferocious! From what I hear, on the west loop, the blowdowns on the trail are everywhere.
    I'm not sure it gets much maintenance.
    There are lots of other trails that in my humble opinion would be much better for getting into backpacking like the Old Loggers Path, Allegheny Front, West Rim. (just my 2 cents)
    The waterfalls on the CKT are beautiful though, I can't argue that!

    • @mountainsintomemories
      @mountainsintomemories  6 месяцев назад +1

      I can definitely see stinging nettle being a problem in this area. I can't see myself backpacking anywhere in the heat of summer...
      LOL at the Allegheny Front Trail, as I'm editing this weeks video, I'm thinking it may be a long while before I attempt any hiking on that one again. I would like to do the West Rim Trail one of these days.
      We do have backpacking plans this spring, albeit not in Pennsylvania. Stay Tuned!

    This is my fav TT! I’m def scared to tow so I’m happy to see things in real life. Thanks for sharing!!

    • @mountainsintomemories
      @mountainsintomemories  3 месяца назад

      If you have enough truck and a good hitch; towing is not a big deal. Backing into sites can be challenging sometimes, but usually that’s not a problem either. Certain things, like being slightly unlevel, it’s best to just shrug off and keep on rolling.

    • @AleeshaNash
      @AleeshaNash 3 месяца назад +1

      I don’t have a truck yet so that’s what I’m buying first. Seems like it’s nice to have access to a separate vehicle but a smaller Class A was another option.

      The windows on the Salem View are unbeatable!

    • @mountainsintomemories
      @mountainsintomemories  3 месяца назад

      Personally, I’d rather have a truck and tow my trailer; vs, motorhome towing a vehicle. I think having a separate vehicle is a must.

      Good to hear you’re enjoying your 6.4! I’m excited to get out on some longer trips to see how it does pulling this beast! How much does your Rockwood weigh? Do you have 3.73 gears?
      I really enjoy hiking with the kids, they have tons of energy, just need to channel it towards walking the right direction!
