  • Do you realize that the United States has millions and millions of Small Business Millionaires?
They’re your plumbers, they’re your electricians, they’re your block mason's, they’re your HVAC guys, they’re your painters.
I am producing a series of videos dedicated to these folks.
This series is going to be for all wide range of small businesses
because everything I'm going to talk about is required for small business (regardless of the industry that you’re in).
I've got many many items that I'm going to discuss here, probably 40 to 50 different videos just pertaining to this.
    Everything from:
    • skill sets
    • State Licensing
    • Local Licensing
    •insurance
    • inventory
    • marketing
    • 401 K's to Roth IRAs.
It's usually not the skill set you possess that will determine
whether you will be successful or not, it’s how you operate the business within the skill set.
And I had a lady one time tell me, "the business of the business is the hardest part of the business."
It's not that we aren't good electricians or good AC guys or good painters or good mechanics. It's that we don't know how to operate a business when it comes to insurances and IRA’s, accountants, banking, inventories, supply houses.
It takes a lot of work to do this kind of stuff and I have people calling me all the time and asking me, "Hey Dave, what do I do in this situation?"
    I'm always trying to help.
So if you guys subscribe on my video and send me a little comment,
I will do my best to answer you back on this because this is a passion.
So what is the first trait of someone who has Millionaire Potential?
    Desire. Desire is huge.
You have to have that strong desire to want to get up every morning, jump out of bed, and get moving.
So you got to have that desire. If you don't have a desire to succeed in life.
If you don't have the desire to want to be self-employed, you'll never make it.
    So desire is BIG.
Next thing is you really just got to have ambition.
Ambition: you don't want to work for the other man, but you want to be the other man.
You want to be the one that owns the company, that has all the
control over whatever you're trying to do, whether it's a construction business, an auto business, whatever that is, but you want to have the ambition to get up and get it all started because our country and our society is built on entrepreneurs.
    Third, Self-discipline.
It takes a lot of discipline to get up every day and go in and make, sometimes, 50-100 decisions per day, pertaining to everything from employees, to commitments, to logistics, to how the money is going to be distributed, to payroll.
There's a lot of decisions everyday and you've got to make most of them,
but the biggest thing is you gotta have the right team ready,
and you've got to have that discipline.
Four: You've got to understand delayed gratification.
You may not get what you want today, but you're working at it and a long-term goal.
    I personally always had a one-year goal, three-year plan, and five-year plan.
I got up each day based on those 1, 3, 5 year plans, on what I was going to do that day, and the decisions I made.
Five: The next thing is value.
What kind of value you are you adding to society?
What are you doing for the consumer?
Why should one hire you and why should one call you to come to their home, or bring their cars to you, or have you to paint their house -
what value do you bring to society?
That's very important: the value that you bring. And that's why you need a good skill set.
You have a good skill set and you're good at your skill set, you will bring value to the industry, whatever industry that is, and you will be able to make a good living,
You'll be able to have those things that you want in life, and you'll be able to live comfortably.
I had a gentleman tell me one time when I first got into business,
He said, "If you're good to your business or your skill set, the business will be good to you.
Meaning that always do a good job, always be on time, always be polite, always take care of whatever the problems may arise, have good customer relationships, always take care of things in a timely manner, and most of all always be honest and fair.
Okay, so that's just the first segment of this. I want you to tune in to the other videos I'm going to put out and I'm going to elaborate on all these other things. If you like this video and you want to see more of them,
please share, please subscribe, and please comment, and I really appreciate you watching.
    Thank you.
