      It IS all about confidence. Weight training builds muscle but more importantly builds confidence.

    1. Pushups - 15 reps
    2. Goblet Squats - 25 reps
    3. Chair Sit Ups - 30 reps
    4. Thrusters - 15 reps
    5. Goblet Curtsy Lunges - 12 reps each leg
    6. Rear Delt Fly - 15 reps
    7. Hammer Curls - 15 reps
    8. Overhead Tricep Extension - 10 reps each arm
    Rest: 15 seconds between each set

      Thanks for the summary . Although I thought the push ups were only meant as an initial warm up. And hence , not necessary to repeat if performing say , 2 or 3 complete rounds ?! At least , my lazy fatigued ass hopes so 😅. Lol 😊

      With that short rest time, just remember that isn't a focus on building muscle. It certainly will, there's no doubt, but a 3-5 minute rest time is more for building muscle. Chris is misinformed. Shorter rest DOES NOT equate to more muscle building.

    I am an almost 62-year-old female (probably not Chris' target audience :)), and I am using this workout to combat muscle loss that can come with aging. I am finding it a great well-rounded workout for that purpose. I modify the goblet curtsy lunges because of a meniscus problem in my knee by not going down as far, and I do pushups with my knees down (hoping to do full eventually); other than that I can keep up and do the moves as taught by Chris. I use 5, 8, and 10 pounds depending on the move. It is quick, efficient, and I enjoy it so it is easy to stick with it.

    I started my weight loss journey today. Got some dumbells and used this guide. I was Gassed and nauseous 5 minutes in. But im going to keep at it!! Starting weight : 320 lbs.

    Warmup : 15 pushups

    Log:
    20. March 2024: After being unsatisfied with my body more and more I finally decided to buy dumbbells. After intense research (10 minutes of googling lol) I found this and decided this will be my workout. I am writing this log to keep motivation and to maybe inspire should I keep going.
    21. March 2024: They arrived and I did the workout for the first time. Today was just a test and I didn't write down how much of each I was able to do but I do feel like my body is burning.
    22. March 2024: I finally did a proper round and these were my first ever results:
    2 Sets for each with 1:30 minutes rest between each set and 2:00 minutes between each exercise.
    Pushups: 10x, Goblet Squats 25x, Chair sit-ups 15x, Thrusters 8x, Goblet courtesy lunges 0x, Rear delt fly 8x, Hammer curls 20x, Overhead tricpes extensions 5x (7Kg Dumbbells for everything).
    24 March 2024:
    I've settled on one rest day for now and besides needing to do 3 sets of pushups today (10/5/5), everything else remained the same.
    26 March 2024:
    I finally tried the courtesy lunges today, I did 5 but they didn't feel right, gonna have to figure them out. I also decreased rest time by 1 minute in total (1:00 between sets and 1:30 between exercises.
    28/29 March 2024: I did it sometime during the night so I don't remember if it was the 28th or 29th. Nothing interesting happened through
    1 April 2024: as a cruel April fools joke, my stomach decided to not want to keep my last meal in and I prematurely stopped before I got sick even more. I managed to finish the first set of thrusters but I just can't today. Hope I'll feel better tomorrow.
    10. April 2024: Yeah I didn't get better after 1 day. But I finally got back to it today and now I basically did everything like I did last time I wrote it down so yeah

      Keep going dude, You are doing great.
      And for courtesy lunges, ALL the work should be done by the planted forward leg, Up, And down.
      If you cant do them try standard lunges.

    This is what i'm talking about. A simple workout i can do everyday that works my whole body. So glad i found this video. I started my weight loss journey at 396 lbs. and i'm down to 323 as of today. I'm at the point where i feel good enough to start working out and this workout is gonna help me immensely. Got my dumb bells. Time to mold this body.

    Hey Chris I love the way you provide the variations for the difficult exersices and the concept of quality over quantity that is working for time instead of just reps is a really great way maximize correct form reps which you explained in my point of view in excellent way so I thank you Chris have a successful year.

    Just did this workout for the first time (28/03/24) and I went straight for two sets (unafraid)... It's the most intense BEGINNER workout I've ever done! I love it! I'm gonna be back in 48 hours to do it again!

    Hi Chris , thanks for continuing to provide these fantastic and well thought out workouts .
    I was wondering about your opinion regarding specific neck training exercises . Is this safe or even desirable ?! If so , do you have any favorites you could list ? Or advice in general about training the neck muscles ?

      @@KaranM-yb9hx For beginners you should buy a 5lb and 10lb weight that way you can alternate between the two and start building your way up. I’ve been on this journey but I started with the 10lb weight. This is day 6 for me and now I’m using a 15lb weight

    I'm a runner, but haven't done a full body workout like this in a very long time. I want to start to do this kind of a workout to build strength. I couldn't even finish this workout with 20 pound dumbbells. This has motivated me to do this every day (if I can bear it) until I can complete it as designed.
