Suddenly, your RWR goes off, and a blip appears for but a second on radar before disappearing. Your RWR does not stop. You have no idea where the missile came from, nor how close it was fired. Suddenly, your aircraft explodes. You are dead.

👏 awesome love the team up with the F35 this is really what is was designed for, as a support/addition in a strike group
I’d love to know the actual laws of war concerning surrendering in a fighter jet, and would any ally aircraft be given the same courtesy

If they offer to surrender, why wouldn't you take that offer? So long as surrendering means the pilot landing his aircraft at one of YOUR airfields. You certainly wouldn't let him go home so he can come back and go up against you again another day.

That guy never would have given you the same respect. He probably went back to re-arm and will come back out and try and shoot you down again. If it’s a target you take it out it’s an asset that you let your enemy continue to have. He could easily have ejected, and you take the asset away.

You're a better man than I. The guy with the landing wheels down would have gotten a bullet in the wingtip. Surrendering means losing your plane. You get the chance to slow down and go to a desirable altitude for ejection. But then you either eject or you go down with your plane.

That surrender was unexpected but also witty, but also that he could have proved lethal for the f22, but the stealth worked as a deterrent for his missiles, if i were in that f22, I'd have let him go too, you have to respect his attempt and wits and also saving a whole fighter jet from being burnt down to nothing.....
