Excellent content. A lot of people argue that falling to one side or the other is “right” or “wrong”. I like that you break down how it’s advantageous either way, as long as you recognize the situation.
Amazing, the ONLY thing I'd change is that the choke should come from the extension of the hips, not squeezing of the arm; if the opponent fights your hip extension, then you add some squeeze, and as soon as he's worried about the squeeze, you go right back to hip extension.
actually you want to do a crunch and bring your whole body in compact.. combined with a tight squeeze on the neck. not trying to baby submit people.. in comp and real life you go all the way for the kill
As a white belt, I once got a purple in this position, while holding his head at a turned angle (not hyperextending) just to prevent him from turning the other way, at which point he abruptly stopped the roll and angrily said I was neck-cranking him
With rotational pressure, you can choke with one arm. You wanna imitate a gi choke by rotating your elbow to the right(note that in the video you are strangling with the right arm), pin the elbow down, reinforce your wrist with your head, and looking to the right.
8 hours of instruction perfectly summarized in 5 min 👏
This video is killer. Perfect camera angle and the clearest instructions. No bs intro or annoying music. Thank you.

With this one, we don't even need two arms to chalk one, right?
