I feel bad for teams with terrible radio announcers. We may not be the best but we have the best radio announcers here in Nebraska
I agree
+flyingtomato The MSU Radio announcer has been the voice of our football game for 38 years. He is an icon in the State of Michigan....but needs to retire because he can't describe a play to save his life.
IKR
Totally agree. If you go through RUclips and play greatest plays videos that use the radio announcers, it’s not even close. The Nebraska calls are so clear, with great crowd noise, and strong voices. I think it’s the best by a fairly wide margin. There is something to be said for tradition, though. I can respect that with Michigan State. Iowa football has a great play by play voice with Gary Dolphin. I would put Iowa toward the top. The Ohio State play by play voice, Paul Keels, has a BOOMING voice. That’s another top notch broadcast.
That goes back several decades too. Kent Pavelka "Towchdown! Touchdown! Touchdown!" Still gives me chills.
They were ahead by 12 points in the fourth and we managed to comeback and beat em!!! GBR
Im a husker fan, and that was a terrible call.
He was forced out of bounds, he was also touched while he was out of bounds, and since he was touched, he’s an eligible receiver.
Best believe we riding if the fan belt running
Eli Gold. Hands down, the best radio announcer EVER. Best sportscaster in the booth on tv? Keith Jackson. I sure do miss hearing him.
+HokeeDokeyHorses .HokeeDokeyHorses I do not disagree. Keith Jackson is one of the best ever. However, I think you have to admit that it is very close race between the three: Gus Johnson (Fox), Dick Vitale (ESPN Basketball), and of course Keith Jackson. I'm not sure if I can even pick one that is the best. It's a 3 way tie for me.
Well, I'm an avid college football fan, have been since I was just a little bitty girl. So Dick Vitale I'm not too familiar with, and I don't remember hearing Gus Johnson's name. I loved the anecdotal way Jackson would describe the players or what they were doing. To my Daddy, he's on par with Cosell, another great I don't remember too well.
@@HokeeDokeyHorses”I’m a lifelong college football fan” how do u not know Gus Johnson
kno it all got beat 🧑🍼
The receiver was absolutely not forced out of bounds but it's not like MSU that year should have been playing a 3-6 Nebraska so close that a single blown call decides it.
Are u blind?
he was definitely out of bounds and there was definitely contact with the dback. was he forced out? i couldnt tell. there were no officials close to the play, so they didnt get a good look. i dont know.
I personally thought it was a really bad call it didn't look like much contact was made by the defensive player let alone pushed. But as a huskers fan we really needed this win even if it was in dramatic fashion
as I understand it, with that ruling called, the only way to overturn it would be if the defender is not even touching him. Since he had a hand on him, the ruling had to stand. There is not mention of how hard the player has to be pushed in that rule from what I gather
+Brian Schaefer I understand the logic why it wasn't overturned, but I also understand why other a lot of other people are upset with the call as contact was made it looks like he could have had the strength to keep himself inbounds. I would also argue for the call that it's hard to re-establish yourself as a player at full sprint, as I've heard people say he was in full stride out if bounds for a few steps.
owen west i understand why the contact counts, because you dont want to be be splitting hairs and such. but why is it not reviewable?
They did review the touchdown and they said the play stands as called
dannyzep92 sorry I wordesw that wrong. What happened was he was continued to be touched after he went out of bounds. The player is not an eligible receiver unless a player touches him while out of bounds. So it wasn't the contact in the end it was the fact that he touched him while out of bounds making him a eligible receiver.
From a better angle, it's clear the receiver was not only forced, but touched out of bounds as well. Therefore, he's an eligible receiver. No dog in this hunt, but those are the rules I reckon.
Oh well lol go huskers
One of the worst calls of all time
Go Green. -9/26/21
10 seconds of Sparty silence
@Cayden Ritchie then what happened
@Cayden Ritchie bro chill he's making fun of the radio guy not the team
Payback for the no call interference the year before

He quite clearly didn’t go out of bounds on his own
That's a lot of words for someone whose head is in their ass
Receiver was sandwiched between defender and sideline.
Defender went out of bounds.
Baring some kind of time warp or out of body experience, the only intelligent conclusion that can be drawn is the the defender forced the receiver out of bounds. It's simple physics. My opinion doesn't mater. It's a fact.
BWAHAHAHAHAHA. After further review, Michigan sucks.
Nebraska still sucks… 5 years later
BLOWN CALL
BS He obviously was not "forced out". They should not have given that touchdown to them. Smh that state is now not undefeated because of this bad call.
+Justin Mack He was not TOUCHED watch the replay. He stepped out of bounds and that was his own fault.
+TheRedDiamond FTW He was touched! Photo shows Brandon Reilly out of bounds and a Spartans defender touching him. Thus, being a eligible receiver. look at this photo: pbs.twimg.com/media/CTRA6aeUwAANtPR.jpg:large
+Tony McMahon I do not see any contact in that photo m8.
+TheRedDiamond FTW look at the arm of the MSU player. You may need to zoom in a little or go to 2:26-2:28. In the video if you pause and look very closely, you can see a defender holding the receiver back He is stopping Brandon Reilly from coming back inbounds.
Tony McMahon To me that looks like he is putting his arm in front of him. But ya.
Bad call, you didnt win Nebraska. Go UW Huskies!
+alex graham haha good luck UDub. Stay dry.
not a bad call. Don't be made because we won.
I'm not "made" you won, I'm a Washington Huskies fan giving a non biased opinion. Bad call, you didn't win.
+NvDubs250 Actually it was a bad call. We all know that he stepped out and was not "pushed".
alex graham Nice win over State. You guys got a great coach. Def an upgrade. Good luck.
