Better team won that game, we were just more physical and our offensive scheme worked just a little better. Gives the team some momentum in recruiting and offseason. Can't wait to see how we do next year.
One would think that in order to be called for targeting it would have to be intentional. Then again we are talking about a league that took over a century to make a playoff system that can't even represent all 5 of the power conferences at once much less anyone who deserves a chance.
Jacob Wang no that year three 5-7 teams made Bowl games and all of them won. Nebraska, Minnesota, and Central Michigan were all 5-7 and won their bowl games
i might be off topic first off GBR was a pretty bad year, but this game they played good D when they had too...Also they need to figure out the Helmet to Helmet Ejections for tackles that are perfect, i mean thats my opinion. Not just because im a nebraska fan but for all the calls i have seen this year alone!
Mike Riley was not the coach Nebraska needed when they replaced Bo Pelini, but here's a challenge for ya: watch this game recap and honestly say the Huskers are in a better place today in Year 3 of Scott Frost than they were five years ago.
All I ask for now on as a husker diehard (well a more realistic one) is 11 wins, it frustrates me that in 2009,2010,2012, and maybe even other recent years we were never able to get that 11th win and I used to be a national championship every year guy but I realized college football is loaded with good teams and Nebraska can't bank on 3 stars and overrated 4 stars like they did in the early Bo and Carl days, husker fans just need to enjoy watching their team on fall Saturday's and even if ESPN wants to disregard us and our loyalty to a shitty program like Iowa then wuttrr it shouldn't mean anything, we go out on a winning note and that's why I'm proud
there's a lot of bowl games so some 5-7 teams got invites. nebraska had a win over michigan state (team who went 12-2 and won the conference), so that win helped them a lot to get invited. 5 win teams making a bowl is rare though.
It happens when not enough teams met the threshold win number, which is 6. From there the teams are picked from 5 wins with a minimum team GPA set to pick from those teams. Most years there isn’t even one 5 win team in a bowl game, but this year there was 3.
How do two 9-2 ranked teams face unranked teams in their bowls? Neb95 beat 1 team that faced a ranked team in their bowl. CO. Part of the farce that occurred in 95.
I get that Matt Davison is a legacy icon for his play in that Missouri game, but cripes he's a terrible radio announcer. He has the wrong style of voice and he is also too emotional.
He is terrible. Like listening to nails on a chalkboard. He turned one play into a career. He works in the Athletic Department serving as Scott Frost's friend.
Nicely done! I enjoy the way you sync'd the radio announcers with the video. The radio announcers do so much better than the TV ones
Nebraska has excellent team announcers
Any time Nebraska beats UCLA is A Great Game :)
Nate Gerry is such a beast.
Better team won that game, we were just more physical and our offensive scheme worked just a little better. Gives the team some momentum in recruiting and offseason. Can't wait to see how we do next year.
At 5:28 the ref in the background even shook his head at the call on Nate Gerry
That was the worst call I've seen in a while.
+GarrettGTA yeah I know it was.
This game doesn’t get talked about enough.
that targeting call was BULL!
Michael Ward ikr
MarfeeWarfee if Pelini was still there we would’ve been in a better bowl game
Tommy was a force when he was on
LOVED attending this game!!
I absolutely love these highlight videos with the radio call
No Cap Riley had some good play calls in this game
Thank you for posting brother. This was great!
Mike Reiley got some extra sprinkles after this game
love your vids man..thank you so much for posting. :)
Love the last minute and a half!
5:30 look at the ref in the back shaking his head
So happy Nebraska won. The PAC 12 is so overrated. It was a tough season for Nebraska, I'm glad to see them end it on a good note.
ya know the best part of Frost being gone is I never need to hear Matt Davidson ever again.
about 7:13 at the 45yd line can see the start of the scuffle bottom of the screen
That Nate Gerry hit still pisses me off

The only problem with that would be the way you determine “intent” without being in the mind of the player
Were both teams 5-7 that season?
Jacob Wang no that year three 5-7 teams made Bowl games and all of them won. Nebraska, Minnesota, and Central Michigan were all 5-7 and won their bowl games
Can’t wait to have another QB leader like Armstrong
He definitely messed up a few times, but I'd say he was our best QB in atleast 10 years.
5-6 won three times that Bowl season. Husskers, 'Sota, umm, Fresno or SDSU?

When you win your bowl game and still finish with a losing record, there are too many bowls. And I say this as a Nebraska fan.
Just don’t watch them?
@@andygygi5135 Lol true

Well now they are better, almost beat Oklahoma Mich state and mich 😂 only problems we have are finishing what we started with those teams
Head to head out of bounce at 5:55. Not called after the previous play ejection. Hum ????

+Mick Claeson I do. I hate ES(EC)PN and could care less what they say about my huskers.
Would settle for 6 wins

Face masking at 1:22
Reiley could win the big games and get smoked on easier opponents GBR !☠️☠️🌽🌽
@ 1:44 josh rosen runs like a girl
Blackshirt- D lol, ya he does
5:28 terrible call you can even see the ref shaking his head as it’s a bad call
When one of nebraskas worst defenses beats a 1st round QB
Lmao I forgot Rosen went first round
Tommy gets face masked right in front of the official and nothing.
That no call on the face mask still pisses me off. 1:23
