No, Colorado has to win. The final score is deceptive because USC could have won by three touchdowns easily. The Trojans let Colorado back in the game to make it more dramatic.

@@brandondyson7769 Shedeur is a system QB who played against an awful USC defense, and you can argue that he cost Colorado the game with his first half mistakes. Caleb Williams doesn't deserve a second Heisman for inflating his stats against these kinds of teams. The season doesn't start for him until he plays Oregon, Washington, etc. Quinn Ewers is proving his Heisman case right now against a Top 25 team, as he did against Alabama.
Right now, my Heisman ballot would read: 1. Quinn Ewers, 2. Drake Maye, 3. Box Nix, 4. J.J. McCarthy, 5. Michael Penix Jr.

if they get real top tier D1 linemen they will contend. Till they do they will struggle BIG TIME with any top tier program. Bama and Georiga have elite skill guys yes, but they win every year cause they have 3 first round picks on each side of the line.
They have some excellent skill guys though, and Shedeur made some impressive throws down the stretch when they opened the game up for him. First half was pretty much just screens and hitches
Loaded is a stretch. Most true freshmen struggle or redshirt. If you think they'll be loaded next year you'll be in for a disappointment.

This was the perfect game for CU. All those recruits that were there have to be thinking if I was on this team,we would have won this game! Packed stadium rocking,celebs and NFL legends on the sidelines,the world watching. Colorado is looking like the place to be.
I keep telling folks the same thing. These young guys want the exposure that comes with CU. And they look like a fun team to play for. They're gonna be ready next season

The Oregon and USC game showed how players' mentality and coaches can affect a game outcome. In both games I expected CU to fall and if they came within 14 points I would be impressed, this game with USC showed that; however the two freshmen that started today could have also been the factor.

CU could have just folded when they were down by at least three scores, but did not. Looks like CU made positive adjustments on its offense. Special teams and the defense, especially the secondary, still need major work.

Dude it wouldn’t have enough difference.. thats not how football works. First their defense as a whole cannot stop the run let alone anything else and their offensive line cannot block.. thats why they’re getting scored on so much..

I'm impressed! Colorado needs to work on their slow starts, but USC is a top 10 school, so great game! Buffs need some speed on both sides of the ball, but I already knew this at the beginning of the season and knew it would hurt them when it comes to playing Big Schools but great game. If they can stay healthy and protect the QB, they'll win more games. I do see them losing 1 or 2 more games but that's ok because they already looking better than last year, congrats to both schools
I am a neutral fan, but I think that CU can squeeze out three more wins this season and become bowl eligible. That would be a major improvement from the one victory team of last season.
Put USC up against a top 10 pass defense and they will be exposed. They have a powerhouse offense and nothing else.

USC was up 41-14 with less than a quarter and a half to go in the game.
The fact that CU was able to make it a game speaks to the Buffs talent and grit. It also speaks to USC needing to improve dramatically on defense.
USC's defense is once again their biggest liability, and the reason why they won't be undefeated at the end of the regular season.
Forget undefeated! If they can keep it under 4 losses this season I will be impressed. I just want Alex Grinch gone before next season.

If you look at the team stats, it's almost like loss for USC, with The Buffalos getting more rush yardage by far, more TOP, and more 3rd down conversions. They really showed their resilience in coming back at the end of the game. They just had no answer to Caleb WIlliam's pinpoint passing.

Even though colorado lost their last two games they went from 1-11 last year to a team that will probably make a bowl game this year. Way to go Deion!
CU has seven chances to win three more games this season. They need three more victories to become bowl eligible. It just so happens that in its remaining schedule there are currently three teams not ranked in the top 25 that CU has to play. Bowl eligibility would make this team wildly more successful than the team of last season.

Already has double the wins, already improved program culture, and already improved the roster. All that’s left is to qualify for a bowl game. USC is highly overrated, in my personal opinion. You take away one guy, Caleb Williams, and your left with a team with an average defense and slightly above average offense. Oregon is a much more complete team at all three phases. I think USC's defense will be this trans downfall at some point. I think the PAC12 comes down to Oregon vs Washington.
