Thank you ladies! 2yrs divorced. Buying RV, will be staying on daughters land and get to enjoy watching grandkids.
Honestly, will be working through PTSD that ex caused. It will be one of the few times im finally putting self first
Keep posting! Yall are full of wisdom.
Thats awesome! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this video. It was great. I'm 68 and will be living the RV life full time. I had finally talked my amazing husband for us to sell it all and live and travel in one. We have so much to get rid of here at home on the 2.3 acres. He had a ham radio business here for about 30-35 years. So much of that here. I lost my best friend (my husband) in Feb of this year. Because this place is too big for me to take care of on my own, I'm going ahead with our dream. I sold our tractor and bought an amazing RV. It's 23 years old (a 2000) model and it's in perfect condition. It just turned over to 33, 000 miles. $15,500 was the cost for this. The RV looked like it hadn't been used. The tires are new, the dash and front seats look not used. The engine compartment looks brand new. It drives like it's new. My work has been in the bus industry. I have driven school buses and charter buses for years. So I'm not afraid to drive an RV. I had gotten a Class C 28' Thor Chateau. The outside body doesn't even have rock chips over the driver area. I am redoing the entire inside though cause I'm not in the 80's wood. So dark. So everything is white and the kitchen cabinets are a sage gray color. I removed upper cupboards in kitchen for more head space and I removed the dinette. For just me I do not need an opposing bench seat. I'm replacing it with a 6 ft long butcher block table. I've redone the floors and this thing actually has a full size bathtub with the shower in the bathroom. Amazing! I'm now working on installing the new kitchen counters/ sink and faucet. I'm loving it.
One thing that is never mentioned about living in one (I feel) is you have all the things that are important to you in your RV. So anywhere you are, it's a comfortable feeling (I would think). Sure you're camping in different places, but again I think having all the things you love with you.... is a really comforting feeling. I even covered the lower part of my walls in wainscoting with the top rail trim. This think looks like a tiny home. It's so light and airy looking. Can't wait till I'm done. But dealing with the property and the house that's about 100 years old... my work is cut out for me.
Thank you so much for your video. I really would love to meet up with you gals out on the road. (I live in Sultan, WA) Safe travels for you all!
I am sorry for your loss but I am so happy that you will still be living your dream. I would love to see you on the road sometime. Safe travels
My reason for full time rving is that like 1000's of single senior women, I couldn't afford to keep my home once I retired. I love the life
Thanks for watching!
The “stuff” can bury you. I never felt as good as when I got rid of all the “stuff”. I am truly a minimalist.
Agreed, we dont miss the stuff! Thanks for watching.
Really enjoyed listening to all these lovely ladies stories and how they make full time RVing work for them. I totally understand the younger woman not being able to give up her sentimental things. I struggle with that as well.
It sounds like the other ladies have storage units so have things they are saving for their kids, etc as well. A few want smaller homes but still travel. Very interesting women, so nice to hear their stories. They all have one thing in common other than being female, great senses of humour and a wonderful sense of adventure. I think women supporting women anytime is a great thing especially when you are living an alternative lifestyle. Much respect to all these women!
Thank you for watching!
We had the black tank explosion - was due to the 'Y' on the faucet that had the hose hooked up to the black backwash leaking. So , it filled the tank up . Been living in the motorhome since 2004. My husband died 10/2020 so been just me now. Too big for one person but it is paid for. You don't represent all women. Not all women are so hung up on things.
Black tank problems are the worst! Thanks for watching!
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾Thank you ladies so much for your honesty
Thanks for watching!
This is wonderful!
My family traveled for 5 years, until it was time for me to start Kindergarten.
So it’s in my Blood 🩸 😉
We lived in a 5th Wheel for 3 years,
Now a Tiny House (400 sq. ft.) ….
SO READY TO HIT THE ROAD‼️‼️😊👍🏽
Love you ladies!!! 😊👍🏽💝💝💝💝💝💝
Thanks for watching!

"His clothes fold" that's funny👍🇺🇲
She is hilarious! Thanks for watching!
Best video ever! Makes me more excited to get my trailer and hit the road. Thank you so much for being honest and funny!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing your RV ‘ng experiences .
Thanks for watching!
This was great conversation! We have a 5th wheel and have traveled the country over the years. Longest time we were gone was 3 months but we just locked our house up and left because I need my home base. 😊 Y’all have fun!
Thanks for watching!
All of you are still babies in the full-time rv life - I (& hubby) just finished 12 years on the road.
Thats awesome! We hope to still be doing it in 12 years as well. Thanks for watching!
Just found you and it was great! We aren't full time yet, but the plan is to be in October of 2024. We have our RV already and have started downsizing. Counting the days!
We love the fulltime lifestyle and dont miss the house at all. Thanks for watching.
I'm 2 yrs late watching this but appreciate it very much. Like you said it gave me many different opinions and I'm sure it only scratches the top. After driving back n forth from Florida to Tennessee (twice!) while trying to stick to a new daily regimen of preparing my veggie smoothies last month and make my own breakfast, lunch and dinner, I spent quite a bit of money just so I could lug my big cooler, power blender, suitcases in and out of air BNBs or expensive hotels with kitchenettes. Seriously way too much stuff for just one night. And top it off that I can't sleep flat because of hip issues so I would search and search for ones that recliner in them otherwise stack pillows. I had my Ram 1500 and could have organized it better but didn't know how and not much forethought. Wow - I thought when I got home after all in all enjoying the best several weeks of my life if only I didn't have to spend so much money for accomodations how much more I would have enjoyed it. Selling my home and purging all the unnecessary stuff because and RVing full time is the only thing I can think of every day. Even several of my specialists for my chronic health conditions agree that I was obviously feeling better physically and mentally (not cured but better) so I better do it before I miss the opportunity and regret it later in life!. You ladies give me confidence!
Thanks so much for watching!
I am a 71yo widow. Lost my husband suddenly last year and we had always talked about traveling the country. I took the plunge alone a few months ago and bought a 25ft Class C. I have taken it out three times and am still learning and finding it kind of exhausting for set up and take down. I wish I had gotten something smaller like a travel van, (super equipped, need a bathroom), because I have to flat pull a car which I had not planned on purchasing. Rented my house and don't have the heart to ask the tenant who is a good friend to move out, because I sort of promised him I would not come back or sell. So I am hoping to manage this on my own and to meet people like me out on the road. Oh and I am paying for storage.
Julie's grandmother had a camper van and went all over the US into her 80s. Thanks for watching!
I’m almost 60 and thinking about RVing full time but I’m worried I won’t be able to do the manual labor.
@@andrewbueller5894 Depending on what type of rig you get will depend on the amount of manual labor. I think class A and C's are probably the least amount of work. Thanks for watching.
This is a great video and great concept! I would love to sit down with these ladies! My story is similar in so many ways. I could take parts from each story. I do miss the camaraderie of like-minded ladies. After 3 years on the road, I hope to connect with some through RUclips. ❤LauraD @SOLDonRVLife
p.s. love your theme song!
Thanks, the ladies had a blast filming it.
These gals are enjoying their wine and savoring the good life (as they should). I’d like to hear from the husbands. How do they survive with less closet space than the wives get? Thank you ladies for a lighthearted and entertaining video.
Thanks for watching. We just did one with spouses but with different folks than the ladies video. ruclips.net/video/7TiKhMlIuDE/видео.html
My husband and I are planning our RV escape. We live in the north and are sick of cold and snow. We own a home with a large yard and are ready to sell everything so we don’t have to keep up with the maintenance. We plan on traveling full time for as long as we can, or until we’re tired of it. Then we’re going to rent a condo somewhere in Texas near the gulf and enjoy our twilight years where it’s warm and sunny. We have about a year and a half but figure it will take us that long to do all our downsizing, research the RV we want, and plan the next phase of our lives together. I would leave tomorrow if I could…
Its alot of work to get ready to go fulltime but we dont have any regrets. Cant imagine going back to a house at this point. Thanks for watching!
In the north as well from NC to stay with Mom that has dementia so she can stay home but my next chapter is Busy Life. Got the shuttle bus and converting it now. I have 5 kids and they are all in board with my dream. Going solo and floor plan just changed to make room for a partner later in life. 😆 The plan is visit grands at their house forceps at a tome. All in NC so that will make it easy peazy.. THANKS for sharing... ✌ ❤
@@terrisexton6727 Thanks for watching!
I think we would love full time. Two issues. House listed twice and not selling. Lots of land and smaller home. Two- a talk with the men would be nice because my husband loves to ‘tinker’ with tractors and anything else he can get his hands on. How did your husbands adjust?
Great idea, We will have to see if we can get all the men together sometime in the future. Thanks for watching!
LOVE THE FIRE PIT‼️‼️‼️
Where did you get it?!? 😃
I've been full time off and on since the late '80s. And no one I knew felt it was strange when I began doing so. People I met along the way often did though. Much easier now with internet and cell phones and online banking.
Listening to the mishaps these women shared brings up an important issue. I've sen a lot of women ill equipped to keep doing this because of not learning about the mechanics & systems of their rig. Each adult living in the RV needs to know how to do all aspects. Know how to drive it, how to back it up, how to level it, how to dump the tanks. You don't have to be responsible for those chores but you need to know how. Your partner can become ill, your partner can die. You don't need the addition burden of learning those skills while in the midst of grief and emotional transition. Unfortunately many of the couple based friendships fall by the wayside when one of the couples becomes solo. Look at your circle - if it's all couples that often indicates a group where a widow won't be welcome.
Thanks for watching!
I'd like a place to park with camping room. I got a 37ft motor home for just me. I've got my sewing craft kitchen space set up nicely and love my space.
Thanks for watching!
Any day spent with your man or and woman is the very best all too soon I have learned you don't have that person on this earth anymore spent 22 years on the road and don't regret any of it. These things are just little stuff. Enjoy your time together it's the most important thing.
Thanks for watching!
People are actually HAPPY…CAMPERS 😉👍🏽
Yes we are!
Just curious what everyone has, Class A vs 5th wheel - I didn’t really hear who had what or maybe I missed it (besides hosts of course).
I dont think they mentioned the type of RV's they have. They have Class A bus, 5th wheels and even a travel trailer. Thanks for watching!
I think everybody should have RVs and living fifth wheels and stuff like that because your space went and parks that you park at or a lot cheaper than it is living in apartments nowadays because you're paying high rate price for rent utilities and everything else living in RV and living RV parks as hell out cheaper even limited a trailer park and how much cheaper than it is in apartment or house
Thanks for watching!
Guys need help. I plan on living full time soon. Have an autistic son who sometimes goes ballistic. I would be heartbroken if he become this way and we are in a campground. I’m old school, keep noises down and keep it clean
Suggestions please
You will never find a community that is more understanding than the RV community. Dont let that keep you from taking the plunge. Thanks for watching!
where are you all at? campsite name and place?
This was filmed @ Twin Lakes RV Park in Cumming, Georgia. We just did a park review that you can checkout at this link. ruclips.net/video/H7rO7ZCv7og/видео.html
These rv girls don't miss any meals
I cook for mine! Thanks for watching!
Lucky you.
Did y'all know each other before beginning RVing or meet each other over time?
Julie and Carla knew each other but the rest of the ladies met over time. Thanks for watching.
I don’t know where I want to live so I think I may want to buy as RV and travel until mu husband want to live. I don’t work outside the home. My husband retires I8 months.
Sounds like a plan. We might buy some property for a home base someday but like you we arent sure where. Thanks for watching!
My husband and I are looking to retire and do rv living full time but I am a card maker that has a lot of craft items. You said that you do crafts and I was wondering what kind of crafts you do and how do you store your craft items?
Hi Janet! I actually have a silhouette vinyl cutter. I carry the machine, a whole giant tote of extra vinyl, and a heat press. I store everything under the bed and it only takes us about 1/4 of space under the bed. When I pull everything out to use it, I certainly spread out but I’m happy to have it and be able to use everything! I hope this helps!!
We’re leaving next spring and we’ll be bringing our hobbies…so no van life for us! I’m bringing my cameo 4, sewing machine, Serger and hubs will be bringing his sausage making stuff and our large dog. I also make cards & plan on bringing paper but won’t overdo it. It’s like living in a house, you choose what you want and don’t want.
I thought that was fantastic. I'm with the one guy, I'll bring a girly cup if I could sit in.
LOL, Thanks for watching!
I like my stuff, like my shoes, ...... really ? The world is bigger then that, life has far more to offer.
Everybody certainly has a different point of view but we agree with you. Thanks for watching!
What type of jobs or companies do you work for
Recruiting, HR, legal, and medical. Thanks for watching!
Have u been to tennessee
Yes we have been to Tennessee.
Happy wife happy life
Or
Get rid of the wife happy life! Yup!
When she gets that ticket for overnight then maybe she will think about that downsizing.
Thanks for watching!
I gotta quit listening to y’all. I might just sell my home and possessions and hit the road. I thought I buried that idea five years ago.
Its such a fun lifestyle. Thanks for watching.
Bunch of rich PPL, SHEESH! Well not everyone has or can finance $$$100s of 1000s $$$.. How about reality for 99%???
These ladies come from all different walks of life and incomes. Remember, they are living in the rv and do not have the expense of a house. This is their house. Thanks for watching!
Your title is VERY misleading. As a solo woman, I was hoping to hear ladies like me. Strong independent, brave and fearless. No storage. If you have sticks and brick in your head, you are not fully full time. You are tethered. I'm terribly disappointed. We solo old ladies need positive feedback.😢
Two of the women in the video are single and do it completely by themselves. Thanks for watching!
