Seems on the left back corner you have a second silver head/needle setup. What is that used for? Different type of records maybe? Or is it just a spare?
It is a reproducer for a regular 78 rpm shellac record. It uses steel needles like a regular 78 rpm player has. The diamond stylus floating needle is mounted at a 90degree angle to the record on the diamond disc models. There is a ring on the back of the horn which turns to release and lock in whichever reproducer one is using at the moment making this machine more versatile.
Hello. I have one just like this but I dont know if it works. I have about 100 records as well. Would you know a place or somewhere to call to sell it?
