I have learned the most about nominal, ordinal, interval, and ratio from your video. Thank you.

This is a very instructional video about scales of measurement and statistical analysis. Good examples of the ways in which we measure variables to collect data and analyze these data correctly. The lengthy discussion of the "0" point in interval scales is a bit confusing so don't let this throw you. Review this more than once if you want to really understand measurement scales. Ignore voice quality. Ends abruptly does not help with relationship to statistical testing.

Great video! I love the tempo and method you use to describe the material. I'm starting a stats summer course in a few days and I'm trying to prepare in advance. You have a new subscriber. Thanks!

Oh I liked this video so much. It really helped me to better understand Levels of Measurement except my professor uses only Nominal, Ordinal and Interval-Ratio. Where Interval-Ratio describes continuous/Infinite categories and has a real zero point such as Income, Time and Age for example.

    1. lowest to highest:
    • Nominal-gender
    • ordinal- class raking
    • interval-fahrenheit temperature scale
    • ratio- amont of money ~ zero money indicates the absence of money.
    2. No, it does not change the meaning.
    3. There is no absolute zero stage.

I was learning so much from the video, and he just had to remind me that Bill Gates has criminally more money than I do and will ever have. :'(''

So are you gaining the ratio scale through division of two equatable or divisible related variables or is there some other form of computation you must do to get the accurate ratio? Just curious so I can do my homework in Bus Statistics.

7:18 25 cents, 55 cent? What is this, the 1920s?
Forreal though, this was the best video I watched on this topic and I don't need to watch another one

in my text book they said that the number of words recalled in a memory experiment is interval not ratio, because if someone remembered 0 words, that doesn't mean he doesn't have memory at all, so it is not a true zero.
    what do you think?
