Thank you thank you thank you. I got the rf 1400 and this tip of removing the plastic ring really helped. I thought I was going to have to return my speakers because they didn't fit and hurt my ears.
@@markusw51 I was unable to cut away the plastic ring. But where the speaker wire connects to the speaker there's this extra plastic tip/nub, i cut that bit off then it fits lol
Since most slim units are fixed to the helmet - if you were to get on a supersport and take it to the track any issue with the battery hitting the hump on the suit (or otherwise bottoming out ) resulting in less optimal vision on the track when tucked in good?
@@MonoMoto Awesome, thanks for the quick reply! I have same x-14 lid and looking for a good system that wont have to be removed when I go to the track have you ever tried Cardo Packtalk slim - think the reviews are better than the Sena SMH10R?
I have no doubt that this much newer unit has more functions and better reception etc. I didn't try it as this older Sena does everything I need it to do .
Valid question , but no only tried this unit. Especially on such an aerodynamic race helmet I’d go with the smallest unit. But no doubt the packtalk is the far better Bluetooth unit !

Hah awesome you found this ! I also have a video just for the RF 1400 and Sena.
I love my x14. Now it needs this :) I'm going to get it soon
Hope you got one and you are enjoying it !
Removing the plastic ring from the speaker to make it fit is clever. But does it damage the speaker in the long run?
I have used it since a few years in different shoei helmets now and never had an issue , excellent question !
@@MonoMoto great! I just bought a x spirit 3. Am using a sena 30k. Hopefully it fits
@@heibaimao Did it fit? I am in a similar situation?

@@heibaimao Thx for the quick reply Joe! I will get one and see if I can manage to fit it :)

Excellent question ! Nope even with chin on the tank the unit is not in the way one bit.

What size are the speakers if you know?
Quick google says 40mm
Hey man, I don't understand how you get the foam ear piece to stick on the speaker.
It does not stick to the speaker. It has it's plastic piece that snaps back into the pocket it came from.
@@MonoMoto yeah I figured it out. My earpiece doesnt fit in the hole, so I have to plug it and put the earpiece on top. No big deal.
maybe you can try about => bk-t1 or bk-s1 @@?
Sorry I don't have those :) But get them send to me and I'll make a video.
i think sena 10u is better .
Sure if it fits the helmet - options seem pretty limited
