As a fan of an SEC program in Florida, I'm not afraid to say I'm jealous of what Oregon fans are going to experience the next couple years. You guys have a guy that should set the bar for future Duck coaches. Trust me, the first title is always the sweetest. You guys have big time games vs big time opponents on big time networks. I'm going to miss the SEC on CBS. It's going to be odd to hear that classic theme music for games between Oregon vs Wisconsin or Oregon vs Washington. I'm even going to miss Gary Danielson. Good luck vs Ohio State and Michigan this year. Those two have dominated the B1G for too long.
Interested in your follow up comments after you’ve seen the whole thing. I’m so impressed with Lanning as a teacher. The mental side is so important. I can’t believe how many people are apart of that organization.
Man the season is finally almost here it feels surreal l so excited to be in the big 10 can’t wait for when they go to Penn state next year and I believe some coaches have said Devon Jackson might be the fastest on the team
@@LockedOnOregonDucks do it!! it’s debatable but I like the odds if those numbers run into the post Season with Oregon looking like they could make a run in the playoffs
@@LockedOnOregonDucks3 1000 yard backs is a stretch though, that’s a LOT of REALLY productive offense vs the good defenses Oregon has to play this year
Hey Spencer, love the show! In Dan Lannings post practice interview he was asked about Jordan James. He didn’t practice today to be “cautionary” because of “wear and tear”…if James goes down how confident are you in the rest of the room to fill his spot? Sco ducks🦆
I agree with James for 1,300 yards completely. I would take it further. I'm going to call my shot at 1,500 yards and 1,700 total yards. Why, you ask, would I go so bullish? I do believe he will be back #1. I do believe he has (from what others are saying) improved his ball skills out of the slot or screen plays. Last but I believe the most important part is that IF Oregon has the year many of us hope and believe they will, then Oregon could end up playing at least 2 more games than any season in the past. Very long comment, but it's what I have.
@LockedOnOregonDucks I hear you lol. Just think about why I said that. Oregon is sitting with a decent chance at playing up to 16 games this year. Assuming they play 15 then James needs to average 100 yards a game. I don't think it's unreasonable to think he will average 100 yards per game this year
It’s a really deep RB room, so it will be hard for him to do, but with the post season and playing extra games I think he does it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Noah Whittington managed to do it too.
Spencer - slow the hype train, take a measured approach to this season. Next Episode, Spencer - Is Oregon going to win it all this year, that and much more coming up...😂
Spencer, check it out again that episode of speed for that team out west I watched it last night and it was 30 minutes? All I know is I don’t wanna be a trainer for Oregon they were running their tails off during practice.
I think the Oregon versus Ohio State game is 4:30 PM PST. If it is at 7:30pm PST, then it will definitely affect Ohio State. A top 10 LSU team came out to an average Washington, and almost lost because it started at 10:30 PM Eastern time… And got over at 1:30 AM Eastern. And the late start and finish, and the travel from the West Coast back to the East Coast, affected LSU in such a negative way for the next game as well, that les miles said LSU would never play a West Coast game ever again… Because of that late start. So yes… It definitely will affect oh Ohio State, if it is at 7:30 PM Pacific… But I don’t think it is.
@@LockedOnOregonDucks The only other thing I was going to comment on is there’s to many mouths to feed for James to rush for 1300yds, even though I think he’s an NFL back right now. And he a much better RB than Dye. Dye was just an athlete, trying to play RB. He was impressive at times, but James is a much better RB for all the reasons LB’s hate tackling him, or safeties. Just ask Kobe Savage who got knocked unconscious trying to tackle him. And even though he was out, James was still angry at him. Because of that, I went back and watched Jonathan Steward highlights at Oregon, and sure enough, they have the same style, down to the way they run. And especially the way they lower their body to create a violent blow on the defender who is trying to tackle them. I guess there’s a reason Stewart’s bold take was 1500yds from Jordan James this year, on his podcast, because he sees a lot of his running style and NFL abilities, in James.
@@LockedOnOregonDucks Agreed. I really like Harris and Blake Corum…I mean Jayden Limar. Limar will be special, and he runs like a bigger version of Corum. But I really like Harris too. He’s a bigger/taller RB that runs upright like Demarco Murray, with that subtle shiftiness, but he has slight Derrick Henry vibes. At least that what I saw from his NIAA highlights on RUclips. But it’s going to be a great year for the running game…especially with the defense knowing Gabriel can run. And since our passing game is designed so the ball gets to WRs, do they can almost be a RB out wide, getting that 3-7yd gain we need every play…like a run heavy offense does. We just do it in a different way.
This is assuming Lanning remains in Oregon for 5 years. Given the landscape of Collegiate football today, this is by no means certain, or even likely. I certainly hope Lanning remains in Oregon, but realistically? Uh ....

That is correct, my mistake.

Great call on Jackson! He and Rod are prob the top 2 guys based on recruiting profiles
Oregon will have 3 1000 yard receivers.. and 3 thousand yard backs 😊 pin it 📍
Goodness....should I debate these points on the show??? Or are they too hot for the air?!

Hadn't thought about the postseason factor....
I think the 7:30 pm start time makes it impossible for GAME DAY to be there. It seems like they will be at an earlier game.
I don't think so, no

Just so everyone knows I’m the leader of the Ohio Oregon Ducks Fan Club.

I'm on record at work down here in Bama saying Oregon will win 3 out of next 7.
That would make folks in Eugene pretty happy.

Stars matter--but they're definitely not everything
Stars matter a lot when you're recruiting high schoolers. They don't matter at all when Lanning is deciding who to play on game day.
If Lanning can't win a Natty in the next three years he's gone...
No, incorrect
